Hi, just wondering why you reverted the changes made to this article by an IP editor? The editor made some useful changes with properly sourced references. Perhaps you might have another think about this, as I can't immediately see what the editor has done wrong. Bencherlite 10:18, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Bencherlite 10:24, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have reverted my changes and apologised to the editor for the inconvenience. It seems I was somewhat careless, and will immediately check my other actions today for more mistakes. --Anna512 (talk) 10:24, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry (I know it's Lent, but don't feel you have to wear sackcloth and ashes for the rest of the day!) and thanks for reacting so quickly - deleting the warning was a nice touch too. It's easily done - my personal worst mistake was listing someone's user-page for speedy deletion on the grounds that he was non-notable! (An administrator had a quiet word with me...) I find the User:Lupin/Anti-vandal tool quite useful. What do you use? Best wishes, Bencherlite 10:38, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
At least I know worse mistakes have been made :) I use Lupin's tool as well, at least until I have enough edits for Vandal Proof.
Well, at the rate you're going, it won't take long. Welcome to Wikipedia, by the way - I've just seen how new this account is! From your enthusiastic work so far, you would seem not to need the standard "Welcome" template message, as I get the distinct impression that you know what you're doing and where to find what you need, but I'll happily add it here if you want to be welcomed more "officially". Bencherlite 10:48, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the welcome. I have indeed read one or two pages in the Help and Wikipedia namespaces before registering. What allowed me to be so active recently is influenza, and I'm afraid (or rather, glad) I won't be able to keep it up for very long. :-) --Anna512 (talk) 10:54, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Feeling better? I do hope so. (And (if it helps) I've had a 'Northshore High School'-type problem once before - I never was very good at telling the difference between left and right!) Bencherlite 21:30, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

<Moved to bottom of page>Odd. I would have sworn the diff showed vandalism being applied. Yet, reviewing the history it seems I was indeed mistaken. My sincerest apologies. I will proceed to strike out the warning on your talk pace immediately. --Anna512 (talk) 15:21, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edit to All Night Disco Party[edit]

Your recent edit to All Night Disco Party (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. <Added heading> The edit that was reverted by this bot was a vandalism revert. Looking at the diff, it seems I restored some older vandalism in the progress -Anna512 (talk contribs) 12:50, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Chinese Wikipedia user 宮本すぐる. I was see you reverted the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Kap Yan Directors' College. But I want to tell you the information is not correct. You can see in this school website. Also this page is not NPOV. So please use my edit, thank. At last, you have any problem, you can ask me to contact this collage, because in Chinese Wikipedia I also want to do it. --Suguru@Musashi 13:19, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looking back at the edit, a revert may indeed not have been the most appropriate solution. The reason I reverted your edit was because I thought it did not improve the article, replacing several paragraphs of information with a single, gramatically absurd sentence. It did not occur to me to check both versions for factuality however, seeing as I know nothing about the subject. My apologies. --Anna512 (talk contribs) 13:40, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I was know some information about this collage, also this collage is near my home (by KCRC around 3minute). I was read this page, the information is not correct and NOT NPOV, so please use my edit,I not want to this collage complain us. At last, I'm not this collage student. --13:53, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
I realise I should not have undone the edit, but to revert it back to your version would introduce many grammatical errors. Could you please add the information back yourself? I don't know enough about the subject to edit the article, and I can't use your earlier version either. --Anna512 (talk contribs) 13:56, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am Chinese Wikipedia administrator, also I talk with other administrator yuyu, he said use to clean up the NOT NPOV information. Because in zh old verion, the problem is same of now(history), I was delete all incorrect thing. So please do the same thing with us, because this information is not suitable in Wikipedia. --Suguru@Musashi 14:10, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am afraid there is a slight misunderstanding here. As it is now, neither of the versions is suitable. For the time being, I'll remove the paragraphs you replaced altogether. --Anna512 (talk contribs) 14:12, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to interrupt, Anna. I think the problem in the Chinese article is not about NPOV. Personally I think the details there is tooooo micro. E. g., how should the students dress their hair....orz.... I find such information not encyclopedic at all.......So I suggested Musashi to remove those contents--JéRRy.雨雨.talk.hk 14:18, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the paragraphs User:Suguru@Musashi replaced. I'll stay out of this from this point on, as I've completely lost track of everything. Again my apologies for reverting it in the first place. --Anna512 (talk contribs) 14:24, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much.--Suguru@Musashi 14:31, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Anna, sorry to interrupt you. However, in my opinion, although some information is too micro, should we respect those information are contributing to the page? In my opinon, "How should the students dress their hair" could provide a good relevance to the students who are interested in studying this good in future. I am sick to Suguru@Musashi delete the useful information in the Chinese Wikipedia. Thank you.59.149.55.51 15:39, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate your trying to involve me in proposed changes to this article, but please understand I know nothing of the matter. I undid my changes, by making an edit doing what I think User:Suguru@Musashi, whose edit I initially reverted, wanted to do, and would prefer not to interfere with the article any further. --Anna512 (talk contribs) 15:10, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About users removing warnings from their talk page[edit]

Thats something many people has discussed, and the idea seems to be, people are allowed to do it. The warnings are not supposed to be some kind of marks of shame. Of course, it's advised against, but people may absolutely remove them if they want to- they are still in the history you know. And any blocking admin will most likely take a check in the users contribution, anyway, before deciding what kind of user this is. So there is no need to revert back in warnings users remove themselves. When they remove them, they admit to have read them. Greswik 17:11, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I must have been acting on old information, then. At least I think I remember a template on the subject. Thanks for bringing this to my attention :) --Anna512 (talk contribs) 17:51, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just wondering why you deleted the entries that had been added to the Berry table. So far as I can tell, casual dining experiences and communism are neither called berries, nor are they botanically berries. Simply because Wikipedia foolishly opened up a black hole of mayhem on the berry page does not mean that you can impose your totalitarian rule on our democratic society and say what should appear in the box of items not called berries that are also not botanical berries, and what should not. If you think you can justify your decision of sullying the democratic process through the use of custom-written technology, you should at least have an underlying dogma supporting your act. Why, Anna512, oh why, should GPS not be listed under is this box, but apples should? WHY? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.165.96.21 (talkcontribs).

<moved to bottom of page> The table exists to take away confusion on what is a berry and what is not. No-one in their right mind would assume GPS is a berry, whether in common parlance or botanically. Adding it to the table adds nothing to the article, and as such it has no place there. The same applies to your other additions. Please don't waste your energy on vandalism, it will only get reverted and if you are persistent will get you blocked from editing. Why not contribute in a constructive manner, and clean some of the muck left by vandals? --Anna512 (talk contribs) 19:47, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Queen Anne512, maybe you're right regarding GPS - and maybe even Yogi Bear. Perhaps your potentially specious logic extends all the way to the ATM on Macdougal and West 3rd Street. The point is, the distinction isn't so clear for borderline cases like Merion Berry, Barry White , or most confusingly, Darryl Strawberry. Let's take a closer looksie into the last one. His name has Strawberry in it - but that's colloquially a berry but not botanically. Does this mean that the description of him as a colloquial berry is a colloquial use of the word Berry, or is it a colloquial use of the botannical non-berry. Shutting off the Berry table as a forum for debate shutters the doors of intellectual gain and may render academia moot. Your intellectual dishonesty in this matter harkens a maddening descent into tyranny. May god save our nation. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.165.96.21 (talkcontribs).
Barry White and Darryl Strawberry are part of the animal kingdom; the article is about parts of certain plants, but I presume you already knew that. Would it then be reasonable to assume that a person looking at the berry article would assume Darryl Strawberry must be a berry for having "berry" in his name? --Anna512 (talk contribs) 20:11, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If middle school taught me one thing, it taught me that I should never assume that people are or are not looking at the Berry page because of considerations about whether Barry White or Darryl Strawberry are true berries. If you could cite a double-blind scientific study on the matter that shows clearly that your assertion is a verifiable fact, and which contains more than mere conclusory statements, I shall drop the matter (at least regarding these two non-berries) altogether. What do you have to say about barometers? That's almost berry, and it doesn't fit into your hastily-assembled animal kingdom exception. Maybe you should add that - or are you going to develop some new one-time exception with the aim of lowering me to grovelling at your feet to add but one other non-berry to the list of exalted non-berries that aren't called berries. Furthermore, I find your come-hither smiley to be far too forward for the sort of e-relationship that we have developed. Yes, I find you attractive, but I don't think that I'm ready for children at this stage in my life. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.165.96.21 (talk) 20:35, 29 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]
I wasn't trying to say the animal kingdom was an exception, but rather that nothing outside of the plant kingdom deserves inclusion in the table. That includes barometers and other lifeless objects. As for the first part of your comment, even if they are looking at the page over such concerns, they will quicly conclude from the rest of the article Barry White is not a berry of any sort (seeing as they had enough of a brain to fire up a browser). And if the smiley is "come-hither", that sure gives a whole different meaning to Template:Smile! --Anna512 (talk contribs) 20:45, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I seem to have screwed up yet again. The article is not notable, but the edit was certainly not vandalous. I'm not quite sure how I thought it was. Jon Favreau[edit]

I was wondering if you could reset the information regarding Jon Favreau (the Obama speechwriter) back to its original form (he is no longer mentioned and I do not know how to add a section link). Me and a couple of friends of his stumbled upon it and could not help ourselves seeing our good friend referred to in an international reference guide. He has obviously worked very hard to get to where he is and we would feel awful if he was no longer mentioned because of our foolishness. It would be greatly appreciated, and we fully understand why it was erased. Thank you!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. New deal for page patrollers[edit]

Hi Anna512,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
