Princess of Dubai[edit]

A non-logged-in user attempted to speedily delete Princess of Dubai using the {{db-author}} template, that is, saying that the author of the page wanted to delete it. If that was actually you, you would have to tag the article for deletion while logged in; otherwise, the administrators won't know that you are the one making the request. I was blocked because I copyrighted several times and had many warnings but did not stop copyrighting. The block is no longer necessary because I have reflected on why I have been blocked and it is not fair for the original owners who own the photos when I copyright and don't source properly. I have understood that I was blocked for copyright violations and will refrain from uploading photos unless they are off my own creation. I will not continue to cause damage and disruption as I will only edit when necessary and it will create less hassle for the owners of wikipedia. The suggestion of not uploading images unless you created the originals yourself is good, but there still seems to be a problem with misunderstanding here. Copyright is nothing to do with whether you source properly. You really need to understand that, understand the concepts of both copyright and sourcing, and you must demonstrate that you do understand before you can be unblocked.

I'll suggest a question for you to ponder and answer:

Suppose you find a photo on the web that you want to use for a Wikipedia article, and it has the name of the creator of the image with it so you can identify them. Under what circumstances would you be allowed to upload that image to Wikimedia Commons and use it freely in Wikipedia?
