Kadiyan moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Kadiyan, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Deletion discussion about Kadiyan

[edit]

Hello, Balwant Chopra, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Maliner, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Kadiyan, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kadiyan.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Maliner}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Malik (surname), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you would like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges.
You have created, either directly, or by moving to Mainspace from (eg) Draft, multiple articles that do not meet our criteria for remaining there, In some cases you have moved these to mainspace more than once, resulting of their being sent to WP:AFD. This both devalues the encyclopaedia and wastes other people's time. It is considered to be disruptive editing.

Hello, Balwant Chopra. Thank you for your work on Ghartan. User:Siroxo, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Please note that empty lists are often deleted. I could not find items to add to this list, so please consider finding at least one article to link from this list, perhaps translated if not already on en. Thank you.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Siroxo}}. Please remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Not vandalism

[edit]

Please don't accuse other editors of move vandalism, just because you may not agree with their moving your articles into the draftspace. Vandalism has a specific meaning on Wikipedia, and this isn't it. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:23, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

yes, but it happened by mistake Balwant Chopra (talk) 11:44, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Three times? Please be more careful, in that case. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:18, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@DoubleGrazing I have left a formal warning to seek to prevent further erroneous moves to Mainspace, coupled with advice below.
It is my hope now that articles will be developed to acceptable standard prior to appearing in mainspace. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 09:15, 25 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

South Asian social groups

[edit]
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in South Asian social groups. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

How to avoid deletion processes

[edit]

Please read, study, HELP:YFA to discover how to create an article that is unlikely to be proposed for one of the three deletion processes. Fundamental to success is excellence of referencing. Books are tricky. We may not show a preference for a single site selling books. The ISBN is best for this, using {{ISBN}} with parameters filled out correctly.

A lot of help may be found at WP:TEAHOUSE.

Despite sending two of your very short articles to WP:AFD I wish you success here. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 18:25, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As you will see, I have now moved several of your recent creations back to Draft space. Please improve them there. Do not move them back to Mainspace without the necessary improvements. Doing so will inevitably result in their being sent toWP:AFD. It will also result in an escalation of the formal warning I have left above for you.
Since you are a new editor, allow me to explain the warning scheme. It has four levels, usually all of which are used prior to administrative action. The warning I left takes into account prior warnings, even of not for the same issue. This warning is at level 2. This does not give you three more chances. It is intended that you take note of it immediately, but has a more friendly tone than the higher levels. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 09:09, 25 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Caste mentions

[edit]

Please don't make edits like this again. Chopra is alive and so his biography falls under the provisions set out at WP:BLP. Unless we have a cited source showing him self-identifying hid caste, we should not mention it. It's trivia anyway. - Sitush (talk) 14:00, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Neeraj Chopra's caste is Ror, this was already written but someone had removed it, so I corrected it again. Please revert this line. Balwant Chopra (talk) 16:01, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
