Disambiguation link notification for January 6[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Christopher (film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Principal. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedy deletion nomination of Neelavelicham (film)[edit]

Hello, CallistoR7,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Xx236, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged Neelavelicham (film) for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. You may find our guide for writing quality articles to be extremely informative. Also, you may want to consider working on future articles in draft space first, where they cannot be deleted for lacking content.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Xx236}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

January 2023[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove file deletion tags from file description pages on Wikipedia, as you did to File:Kaathal The Core.jpeg, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. echidnaLives - talk - edits 05:52, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Mako001. I noticed that in this edit to List of Indian films of 2023, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mako001 (C)  (T)  🇺🇦 03:12, 15 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Suriya 42[edit]

Nice work on the article but please note some points regarding this. Hope so this helps you.

The article which you are creating needs to be cited with reliable sources. More the number of reliable sources, and after Suriya’s 42nd film has started filming it should be then moved it to Suriya 42. Theoder2055 (talk) 06:56, 15 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

January 2023[edit]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

My user account is blocked. It is shown that I am a sockpuppet of Rihaan M. Later, it was shown that I am a sockpuppet of Ameer al safar. I neither know Rihaan M nor Ameer al safar. Can someone help me? I don't have any other account than this one. Also, I have not committed any vandalism on any Wikipedia articles. You can look at my edit history. I believe Girth Summit is the wrong person here. He might have blocked me without going deeply. I think it is an IP address problem. If other administrators read this, please check my history and that is proof that I am not a sockpuppet.

Decline reason:

My use of the checkuser tool confirms that you have abused multiple accounts. PhilKnight (talk) 16:42, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

CallistoR7 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

What do I have to do to prove my innocence? I am telling the truth. I will do whatever it takes to prove my innocence. Just tell me what to do. I am not a sockpuppet! Please understand me. I don't need to make another user account. Also, I have to ask administrators one thing. If I was Rihaan M or Ameer al safar and my account is blocked, how can I create another account. This shows that I am not a sockpuppet. Checkuser is not a human I believe. So, why can't it be a malfunction.

Decline reason:

 Confirmed to AstroWiki7. Yamla (talk) 17:48, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You are right that checkuser is not a human, it's just a tool that lets us access technical details about the devices and IP addresses behind user accounts. It is a human being who compares the data - in this case, two human beings, and we agree with one another. We cannot see who is operating a device, and can never say with 100% certainty that two accounts are operated by the same person, but whoever was behind those accounts was editing from the same devices, in the same locations, and they were editing the same articles. It is too much to ask us to take it on faith that they were two different people, hence: I do not believe that it was not you.
Now, when your account Rihaan M, your talk page access was revoked because of your repeated (and ultimately disruptive) unblock requests. I should have blocked this account without talk page access, in line with that block - I will do that now, but will leave this request in place for a third opinion on the technical data. Girth Summit (blether) 17:21, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have reviewed the editing history of this account, and compared it with that of the other accounts concerned. Frankly, even without seeing the technical evidence, it's so glaringly obvious that the accounts are run by the same person that I would decline the unblock request if Girth Summit hadn't explicitly suggested waiting for a third opinion on the technical evidence. I'll leave the request open for now, in case a third Checkuser may like to review it. JBW (talk) 18:54, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A third checkuser has reviewed it - Yamla has declined above. Is there a technical glitch making the request appear still to be open? Girth Summit (blether) 19:00, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I suspect it falls into the "this list may not reflect recent changes". I no longer see it showing up in the list. --Yamla (talk) 21:59, 21 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
