Clarification

That comment was not made with you in mind, and you really ought to have known that. In fact, it was not even made with any current participant in that discussion in mind, although it does clearly apply to at least one voice. It was more a general observation on the general futility of trying to "discuss" complex topics with Users who are clearly uninformed about the topic in question, have a low level of intelligence, and get all their moronic pals to "vote" the same way, to create "consensus". --Mais oui! Need your help, bad

I don't know what happened to my whole account with Wikipedia. I logged out, and when I returned, the whole toolbar above the edit box was gone! I went to the "My preferences" section of en.WP, and kept trying to return to what I'd had. But.. nothing! The only semblance of a toolbar is from clicking "default", which I've barely settled for. I need the toolbar with the little buttons, as with CITE, etc. Can you help figure out what's wrong? How do I get back the same toolbar I used to use? This is torture!! And, if that's not enough, I never figured out how to archive my own talk page- began to do it, and wrongly so as you can see. Can you assist me? I'm pretty freaked out about all of this!! It has kept me from adding a lot of references for the last two days. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 03:52, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Yes, It ian't easy (and especially for me, it seems) for us old Dinosaurs to adapt to change! I never answered because I thought leaving a note saying, "OK" here (and no more) would be an interruption of your work, seeing the warning note while working, only to find just one word. Sorry! But now since you are here, would you be willing to archive my talk page for me? Seriously, I am baffled. I want to archive everything up to January 20th, 2011 -where another editor was asking about finding photos for The Byrds. Could you do that? I'm really at a loss... --Leahtwosaints (talk) 20:47, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

CSD

McFearless (single) doesn't look like a hoax to me. What made you think so, in case I'm missing something?--SPhilbrickT 00:28, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

Give me a few minutes. This is legitimate and verifiable. I added the hang on tag before adding any content to the page. Thanks Mnemnoch (talk) 10:30, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Question regarding deleted content

Could you please indicate why there is any difference between myself highlighting to residents of Montrose that there is a Facebook page, of no financial gain to myself, available for anyone to share stories and pictures compared to other "promoted" information on the Montrose page such as Music Festival, Beer Festival and Highland Games?

Return to the drawing (and begging) board

Hey, remember how you pulled an infobox photo of John Illsley from Dire Straits? Any chance you might be able to do the same from the same photo for the drummer, Pick Withers? I was also hoping to see the black and white band photo itself lightened as well. Here is the link: File:Dire Straits 1978 Hamburg 1.jpg I got lucky and a photographer friend gave us the gift of a Mark and David Knopfler photo too. Jeezy. If you can't take time for this, just say so.. I'll try to find someone in Commons. Thanks my friend. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 12:29, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks!! Please know- as with altering my userpage, or anything I ask of you, I bow to your artistic insticts! Feel free to put whatever in the infobox you feel is best, or, otherwise leave the result on my talk page and I'll do it If I thought I was a better judge (and I am SO not..) then I'd try doing it or dictating (hardly)! Whatever you feel is best. I think you need to finally stand up and take some well-earned credit for what you do for others here- very kindhearted of you. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 13:15, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

Nice article. I like those kind of traditions - the defeat of invaders by a band of heroic locals. I've come across a few of them when fiddling around on Wikipedia. I'd love to see a book/paper on folk etymology of British place names. Like how do they come about, what are the reasons for such outlandish or plain false explanations for things, and are there really grains of truth in every tale?--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 08:57, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

If you are intending to make it a multiple AfD listing and not nominate them individually you should probably tweak the listing and tag all of the included articles now before it gets too far along. VernoWhitney (talk) 18:16, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

Revolymer Candidate for quick deletion

Hi. I was trying to create a new subpage in my user space and not mount a new Wikipedia page as I am just working on it. Can you let me know how I remove it from the encyclopaedia and put it into my own space until it is suitable? Sorry I'm a beginner here and find some of the instructions rather impenetrable. Thanks Cptccptc (talk) 09:45, 30 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for your help which I will certainly take up when I have the page written properly

Getlenses.co.uk

I've declined your CSD of Getlenses.co.uk; the content is not spammy in nature. Regards, Ironholds (talk) 11:35, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

Fair enough, on looking again, I agree I was mistaken. Catfish Jim & the soapdish 11:42, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

If the artist doesn't have an article, the album can be deleted via WP:CSD#A9. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 13:15, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi Jim, when you suggested keep, does that mean you withdraw your original nomination? If so, I'll close the discussion. Best, Airplaneman 23:41, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

twin towns on the Dundee article

i'm just wondering if it is a good idea to scrap the section at the bottom of the article and move the info into the culture section. what do you think or would it better to leave it just as it is?

p.s. i will get round to creating that landmarks section Kilnburn (talk) 12:07, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

i can see that. no problem. Kilnburn (talk) 20:39, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

Request for help to avoid speedy deletion of Matt Gifford article

Thank you for raising questions about the new article, but the biography is relevant of a modern technology writer, and the content / layout was created following a similar published biography of a similar individual. Please let me know how the article can be amended and improved to retain on the site. MrsGorilla (talk) 13:18, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

New article clarification

Many thanks for your assistance and help in pointing out amends for the article. Aside from the greater number of publications attributed to this individual in comparison, what else is different between the article for Matt Gifford and Ben Forta, as this article doesnt contain publication references or WP:BIO details either. MrsGorilla (talk) 13:36, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Lon Yr Ysgol

I looked on Google street view, is a relatively new street, nice houses but same as another other short residential strete in every town. Speedy it I think, not worth a redirect certainly.♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:37, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

User: Sleeping water

Hi - I've been offline for a few days, but no, my edits seem to be untouched (for now, at least). I was expecting this type of retaliation from him, though I had thought I'd be on the hitlist as well. Seems to have a special place in his heart for you. Gabhala (talk) 20:17, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

He's back - apparently as IP 92.161.41.235 (Dijon, Fr) and as User:Milkrawler and earlier on another IP from Lyon... Keep an eye on your watchlist... Gabhala (talk) 00:28, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
BTW have a look at your files at Commons now and then. Our friend (or his doppelganger) seems to have been active again. So far, all I've seen has been reverted, but you know your files better than I do. Trigaranus (talk) 08:54, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
Some people are good at the grudge (if not at much else). Well, tel aviv, as my French cousins'd say... Trigaranus (talk) 09:11, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
I did laugh a little at that redirect. Kudos for ingenuity. And dedication, given all that time it must have cost him. Warms the cockles of my heart, knowing that a man has found his cause, he he. Trigaranus (talk) 11:54, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

user pages

Hi Jim. I'm just letting you know I declined the CSD on User:SJKirbyJr. Having a blank user page is no big issue, the user may want to repopulate it soon, and if there were improper content, the way to go is through WP:MfD. However, thank you for your vigilance, and if ever you need any help, don't hesitate to ask. Happy editing! --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 08:52, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
