I have moved your sandbox out of the article namespace and made it a subpage of your userpage. Please feel free to edit it at User:Chaitanya.gayke/Chaitnyasandbox but since it is just for test cases it must not be stored in the live article namespace. Working in your user space[edit]

Hi. A page you recently created has been moved to user:Chaitanya.gayke/Sandbox. This is now your own personal working space. please do not create your sandbox in article mainspace. When your article is ready for mainspace, please ask an administrator or your Campus Ambassador top move it to mainspace for you. Do NOT create a new main page and paste your content to it. Thanks, and happy editing! --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 07:18, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I made a mistake in the userfication. please check the above link to your userspace draft now. Thanks. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 08:53, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

October 2011[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the article User:Chaitanya.gayke/sandbox, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition was deleted under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text—which means allowing other people to modify it—then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License." You may also e-mail or mail the Foundation to release the content. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more.

While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:32, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • The same applies to two other copies of the same material you put in two other pages. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:37, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Stop, immediately.[edit]

Chaitanya.gayke, please read the messages above, and stop creating that information in your sandbox, or elsewhere on Wikipedia, immediately. I'm addressing this issue with Foundation staff in India, but am prepared to block you myself. Do not do this again. Speak with your online ambassador, campus ambassador, or Foundation staff prior to creating ANY other articles, and - ideally - have them help you. If you introduce copyrighted information to Wikipedia again, there is nothing I can do to help you, and you will be blocked. Philippe Beaudette, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 15:57, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

User blocked for 60 hours. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 01:36, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 60 hours for Copyright violations: repeatedly recreating the same verbatim text from an external source after on-campus training and many warnings, as you did at User:Chaitanya.gayke. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Some tips[edit]

  • Hi there. Here are some tips that will help you once you are unblocked
How to avoid close paraphrasing and copyright problems.
  • One of the best ways to avoid copyright violations (and to write a better article) is to use several sources rather than relying on a single reference work or web site.
  • If you do find material that you want to use or refer to, copy it into a word processing file (or draft email) completely off-wiki and re-write it there before putting it an article or your sandbox
  • But don't take the material and then start changing a few words in it or moving the phrases around. First of all, this will almost always result in paraphrasing which is so close that it risks being a copyright infringement. Secondly, if you just change a word to a similar word, you risk distorting the meaning completely and making the article confusing or even wrong. Example: replacing "intermittently" from this source with "irregularly". The words have slightly overlapping meanings, but don't really mean the same thing at all in the context of describing what happens in dot matrix printing. In that context, "intermittent" refers to the paper being pulled forward at intervals, not pulled forward in an irregular way. The process of feeding the paper through is actually quite regular.

    Do this instead...

  • Read the material. Digest it. Internalize it. Make sure you understand the outline of the subject well enough to explain it out loud to another person without looking at your sources. Get one of your friends or classmates to listen to your mini-lecture.
  • Then make an outline of the facts only—no adjectives, no phrases, just the facts
  • Now attempt a draft of the topic, just using your outline, preferably after not having looked at the source material for a little while. This will force you to write it in your own words — it's just too easy to be tempted to copy the perfect phrases that are found in professionally written material
  • Draft your article gradually rather than rushing to get it into Wikipedia. This approach will result in more interesting and coherent content. It also allows you the time to review your work carefully for potential copyright violations.
Choosing the right topic
  • Make sure you aren't duplicating material already on Wikipedia. For example, Laser printing and Dot matrix printing already have long, detailed articles. It would be virtually impossible for a beginner to improve them.
  • Instead, look for a stub article in your area which you can expand. You'll find them at Category:Stub-Class Computing articles. Do check the article itself first, though. Sometimes the quality assessment is out of date and although still marked as a stub, it may actually be quite developed now.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for attempting to evade being blocked by abusing multiple accounts, and continuing to infringe copyright, despite plenty of warnings and a block. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Request reason:

Hey,I accept the blocking reason. But I have to submit my article on wikipedia to the college(COEP), as it is a part of our syllabus,on 31st Oct.And this account was blocked till 31st oct.So I have to open a new account. But Iam really unaware of policy of multiple accounts. Also I am a beginner and I am trying my best to avoid copyright.Plese give me the last chance.Chaitanya.gayke (talk) 17:17, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You were clearly warned, including from the legal representation of the Foundation. I'm all in favour of the school and university projects concept, but it's possible your instructor missed a few lessons and steps. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 20:32, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

information Note: There are 3 simultaneous unblock requests from this IP adress: Akshaybade,Amolkchaudhari, Chaitanya.gayke. There is a fourth account, Chaitanya1.gayke, known on this IP adress. All accounts were created within a ~3 day timespan, and a DNS lookup on the listed IP marks it as being statically allocated. As i am short on time this evening, can another admin look into this? Request reason:

Hey,I am really sorry about that.Editing on wiki is the project of my college(COEP,Pune). As the deadline given by my instructor to submit the project was 31st October,2011 and also My this account was blocked previously till 31 October,2011.So I have to open a new account.Really I was not aware of 'Sockpuppet' the policies of using multiple account. Also I was not aware of copyright of images. Now I have fully read the guidelines about creating article. We have credits for this project.I swear I will not do these mistakes again. So,please please give me the last chance.

Decline reason:

According to Check user, you are a  Confirmed sockpuppet of Sachinsuroshe who is also blocked for copyright violations, it is also  Possible that you are the person behind the account Unmeshsphalak who has been previously blocked for copyright violations as well. Given this pattern of repeat copyright abuse, I see no benefit to unblocking you. I'm sorry that you are passed due on your assignment, but honestly that is not Wikipedia's problem. You may not have been aware of the copyright issue at first, but by the time you created a second account and used it to create a copyright violating page, you had received six messages about copyright on this page. Also, you can scarcely have failed to notice that several other copies you had created of the same page had been deleted with copyright infringement given as the reason. After all that you were unaware of the copyright issue? JamesBWatson (talk) 16:24, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like an answer to the above question from JamesBWatson regarding the warnings on this page. It took a block before you acknowledged them, which is concerning. Even if you were permitted to post the offending copyrighted material, I highly doubt your professor/instructor would give credit for work copied in this manner. If the assignment is to show that you can format a wiki page, you can do that without using copyrighted content. If the assignment was to post that specific content, then your professor/instructor should have contacted us first. See also Wikipedia:School and university projects. What's your instructor's name, and why has he not done his due diligence before starting this project? I would assume that a college professor would read up on Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or at the very least get in contact with someone familiar with Wikipedia before starting a project involving it. —Jeremy v^_^v Components:V S M 21:07, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The block is justified. There is a different approach to plagiarism in Asia, but we cannot bend the American laws to suit the IEP. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 21:45, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
