July 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Street dogs of the Philippines, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. You moved a page without giving any reasons.

You removed a tag without giving any reasons.

Please don't do this again. Sennen Goroshi ! (talk) 12:00, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Centipede (story) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://study.com/academy/answer/what-is-the-setting-of-the-story-the-centipede.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Further explanation[edit]

Hi ChesterW23, I am afraid that I've had to nominate this article for deletion because it appears you copied the text from another website - that is not allowed, please read through the links above for more information about this. You may of course re-write the article, but you will have to do so in your own words, not copying text from anywhere else.

If you do decide to re-write it, it would be great if you could find some sources that discuss it. I'm not sure whether you are familiar with our guidelines on notability? Any article on Wikipedia needs to be able to demonstrate that its subject is notable, usually by citing at least two independent, secondary sources that give significant coverage to the subject (see GNG). If you need any assistance in adding citations to a new article, drop me a note on my talk page and I'll be happy to help.

As an aside, I investigated the edits you made to Street dogs of the Philippines, which resulted in your receiving the above warning for vandalism, and I can see no evidence at all that you were vandalising there - you were clearly attempting to start a page move discussion, you were just doing it in the wrong place (that needs to be done on the article's talk page, not the article itself). Please don't let that inappropriate warning, or my nomination of your new article, discourage you from editing. You are entitled to delete that warning from your talk page, if you wish. Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 09:27, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, Thanks ChesterW23 (talk) 05:21, 20 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for October 13[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ibong Adarna, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Filipino (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:16, 13 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Eureka (Appliances)[edit]

Hello, ChesterW23. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Eureka".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 21:28, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
