A tag has been placed on User:ChiefBusinessDevelopmentOfficer, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello Everybody Somebody above me added all this code to my talk page in my user page I don't understand why I joined this website 21 hours ago and somebody already is starting to bully me is this what you do on Wikipedia bully other users? ChiefBusinessDevelopmentOfficer (talk) 16:13, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello ChiefBusinessDevelopmentOfficer, and welcome to Wikipedia. I'm an administrator here, and almost by chance I happened to stumble across your question above. OK, I'll give answering it a shot. We have a whole bunch of rules and guidelines here - not all of which even I fully know, so I appreciate they can be confusing to newcomers. But we have a strong rule against anyone using their Wikipedia Userpage to promote themselves or their business, or to give links and contact details. I've been able to see the content that was deleted from your page, and I'm afraid you fell foul of that rule, so it was deleted. But, yes, it's fine that you created it again. There's details here on what isn't allowed - see WP:UPNOT. No-one is bullying you - honest. But we have 6 million articles; tens f thousands of active users and under a thousand active administrators. We apply our rules firmly and quickly, before moving on to the next issue. We have to. But we have a friendly help forum (where you can often find me and other welcomers). It's called the Teahouse, and you can ask practical questions there about editing Wikipedia. I probably ought to mention that your choice of username will probably attract a bit of attention, as it's borderline confusing, but I, for one, am OK with it, providing that you don't accidentally or intentionally use it to mention or promote your employing organisation. I'll keep an eye on your future edits for you and let you know if I see a problem. (You could if you wish, simply create a new account with a different username and just stop using this one to avoid future issues - the choice is yours.) Hope this helps. July 2021: Just a FYI[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is the furthest thing from social media and forums you could imagine (WP:NOTSOCIAL). We only discuss the improvement of Wikipedia here, and asking whether Weev has died is kinda a newbie error, not to mention your deleted user page.
Wikipedia is a rather "dry" place, with occasional drama over its nearly infinite assortment of rules and their interpretation. For instance, whether Istanbul should be referred to as "Constantinople". That one was epic. And, no, we are not all subject matter experts. Just interested in the dissemination of knowledge, for the most part. Good luck here, and if you stay, I hope you take on a more appropriate user name..--Quisqualis (talk) 16:27, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

July 2021[edit]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Orange Mike | Talk 19:53, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
