Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Zaira Wasim has been reverted.
Your edit here to Zaira Wasim was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.facebook.com/https://m.facebook.com/WZairaaa) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 04:29, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Thanks for uploading File:The Sky Is Pink.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:50, 2 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Saint Solomon High School has been accepted

[edit]
Saint Solomon High School, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

You are more than welcome to continue making quality contributions to Wikipedia. If your account is more than four days old and you have made at least 10 edits you can create articles yourself without posting a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for Creation if you prefer.

Thank you for helping improve Wikipedia!

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Saint Solomon High School article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text—which means allowing other people to modify it—then you must include on the external site the statement: "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribute Share-Alike".

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question at the Help Desk. You can also leave a message on my talk page. --Yamla (talk) 12:24, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Yamla I've contested that image for speedy deletion. You can delete it so that i can upload another free work image. Thanks Chinar (Message | Contribs) 16:28, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I can't delete it, but you are free to upload a correctly licensed image! --Yamla (talk) 17:08, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As you have continued to violate WP:COPYRIGHT and WP:FAIRUSE after your previous warning, and as you have placed Wikipedia in jeopardy by your actions, I have blocked you indefinitely. --Yamla (talk) 11:32, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In particular, the now deleted image, File:SSHS Building.jpg, shows a profound lack of understanding of Wikipedia's copyright and fair-use policies. --Yamla (talk) 11:34, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Yamla: I uploaded this image because it was also the website of this article which i mentioned as source. I request you to please unblock me. Chinar (Message | Contribs) 12:57, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Right. That was totally inappropriate. Until you can clearly explain why, we can't lift your block. Hint: WP:COPYRIGHT and WP:FAIRUSE explain why. --Yamla (talk) 13:15, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Yamla: From now onwards i will only be contributing to writing and not on uploads. And i used image from official website of this article sshschool.business.site which i thought isn't copyright violation as i mentioned source in rationale. Sorry for inconvenience i caused. Chinar (Message | Contribs) 13:26, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

(outdent) That's not sufficient; it's quite easy to violate copyright via text. In order to lift the block, we need to be certain that you understand how copyright works on Wikipedia. To allow the reviewing administrator to assess your understanding, please respond to the following questions in your next unblock appeal, explaining in your own words:

  • What is copyright?
  • How is Wikipedia licenced?
  • Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Wikipedia?
  • Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content?
  • How do you intend to avoid violating the copyright policy in the future?

Your answers will enable us to establish whether or not you should be unblocked. Please be careful; copying-and-pasting your answers from elsewhere would itself be a copyright violation, so make sure your answers are entirely your own. --Yamla (talk) 13:29, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Yamla:
  • Copyright means anyone having rights over the text, information, design or images which others can't use without getting permission from author/owner.
  • Wikipedia is licensed under Creative Commons 3.0 which allows people to share, use or remix information for their own.
  • As i said above that Wikipedia information is free to share and if we use copyrighted content we might be violating content of the original author as he/she has copyright over the information and might or might not give permission to make it free to use.
  • There are limited circumstances under which we can use copyrighted content like if the article is about that particular person/organization we can ask for permission from author to use copyrighted content for Wikipedia.
  • The articles which i will write or the images which i will upload, i will investigate about them to make sure that they don't do any copyright violations.

Hope these answers are to the point about why i should be unblocked. Thanks. Chinar (Message | Contribs) 16:31, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

These answers are wrong in two key areas. First, CC 3.0 is only one of the licenses for Wikipedia. Second, your limited circumstances is outright wrong in every regard. You are welcome to brush up on WP:COPYRIGHT and WP:FAIRUSE and provide new answers to those two questions. --Yamla (talk) 18:46, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Yamla:
  • Wikipedia is licensed under Creative Commons ShareAlike 3.0, GNU Free Documentation (GFDL) and also the content is covered by disclaimers of Wikipedia.
  • Under these circumstances we can use copyrighted content:
1. If is usage is considered as free usage in US copyrights law.
2. It compiles with Non-free content criteria.
3. It is used for purpose if the free material for the article can be found it can be text,image,logo etc.
4. It should have a valid rationale indicating it's usage to be considered as fair usage within Wikipedia policy and US law.

Great! Unblocked. Welcome back. --Yamla (talk) 23:34, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Yamla: Thanks Chinar (Message | Contribs) 00:00, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Yamla: I've now added image File:Build SSHS.jpg to Saint Solomon High School article. Please look if there is any sort of violation. Chinar (Message | Contribs) 08:58, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Nadur Monji, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lotus (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Regarding Proposed Deletion.

[edit]

Hi Dear Chinar Tree, I am the major contributor to the Zeyan Shafiq Article that you earlier nominated for deletion, you left the remarks as "Not credible", The article has been thoroughly reviewed by all the experienced editors on wiki, also there are references in the article that you could have checked to verify the notability and credibility, moreover it meets the GNG by Wikipedia. I am writing this to you because:- 1. You didn't notify the authors of the article about the contest of proposed deletion. 2. There have been multiple disruptive edits, and earlier proposed deletions by spam accounts and sockpuppets who have been disrupting the articles on wiki, and i somehow feel like you're related to them. i would post for a check user/sock puppet investigation for your account, just want to know your reasons before i do it. 3. You have had a bad history on wikipedia related to disruptive editing as per discussions on your talk page. Kindly reply back with your answer so that i could act accordingly. You're a kashmiri as well i guess, kindly contribute to the kashmiri wikipedia society. wishing you the best. Thanks Hums4r (Let's Talk) 08:15, 16 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
