Image Tagging Image:OTP 2.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:OTP 2.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Alr 01:31, 3 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

An image that you uploaded, Image:AS 1.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Image copyrights

[edit]

I have tagged many of your images as missing source of copyright information. All images on wikipedia have to provide details of who's photo it is and what license it is released under. If you took any of the photos please provide those details and let me know so that the tags can be removed, otherwise if the images are sourced from another website they are generally not going to be usable on wikipedia. --Martyman-(talk) 23:52, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, firstly the easy list of your images is available here. The images description on wikipedia images should optimally look something like:

Photo taken by User:Cristibur in 2001 and released under the GFDL

That example is if you want to use the GFDL lciense which essentially places restrictions on somone else using the image and claiming they made it and that they own the copyright.I am not sure of the finer legal points of public domain but I belive in the US it is technically wrong to claim you are releasing into the public domain, rather it is better to say copyrighted but all rights waved with a summary like:

Photo taken by User:Cristibur in 2001. All rights waved

The image description page should also contain a copyright template (which are added automatically at upload if you select an option from teh drop down list). The template for the GFDL is added by typing {{GFDL}} or copyrighted no rights reserved is {{No rights reserved}} or placed int he public domain is {{PD-self}} (though I am not sure that one technically right). Let me know if you have any further questions. When you have updated the gas let me know and I can remove the copyright wanring templates. --Martyman-(talk) 01:40, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging Image:Bicaz-lake.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bicaz-lake.JPG. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. -- Carnildo 08:56, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:KRPlogo.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or ask for help at Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. Thank you. -- Carnildo 07:57, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Buna,

Dapiks 23:42, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

TAROM Fleet change info

[edit]

The Il-62 and BAC One-Eleven information are from Flight International magazine, issue dated 3-9 October 2006, as the reference says. They were compiled from the Flight Acas database and the information is correct to August 2006. The Il-62 ref is on page 68 of the magazine and BAC One-Eleven ref is page 40. Hope this helps. TAROM flight

[edit]

--Danutz

Duplicate images uploaded

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Romavia2.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Romavia1.JPG. The copy called Image:Romavia1.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 04:00, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Tarom70s.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Tarom70s.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:40, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Better source request for Image:VegAir.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:VegAir.gif. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talkpage. Thank you. OsamaK (talk) 19:54, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Tarom.atr42-500.cristibur.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:39, 20 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to the page A3 motorway (Romania). Blank pages can confuse readers, and are overall not helpful to the Wikipedia project; furthermore, blanking a page is not the same as deleting it.

If the article you blanked is a duplicate of another article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate revision. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please use the appropriate deletion process.   — Jeff G.  ツ 02:21, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
