Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, CriticismEdits, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Your edit from The Fairly OddParents (season 10) is both an unreliable source and unrelated. I'm not sure if we use reception on seasons. MechMaster Katzenstein (talk) 18:39, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube is not a Reliable Source

[edit]

I've reverted that as we cannot use youtube for cites. Dlohcierekim (talk) 12:55, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:New Nick Animation headquarters.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Death of David Bowie, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ABC (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Viacom/Spectrum dispute

[edit]

Unless the dispute goes on for well over two months, there's no need to mention it in the network articles at all; it's an average cableco/cable company dispute, and these edits have been reverted. Since they also encourage readers to only go to Viacom's site about the dispute (an WP:NPOV violation), it's also been reverted as an WP:ADVERT, and further edits of this type will be reverted. Thanks for your understanding. Nate (chatter) 00:52, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not at this point, no (and definitely not with your paragraph that I reverted). No channels have been removed (it would be tomorrow night when that happens), and again unless it goes beyond a couple of days, we don't generally mention it in cableco articles. Nate (chatter) 01:08, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It's an opinion website, pure and simple. It's someone who needs a much better hobby in life analyzing children's network schedules, and they source to Nick&More, a site we banned years ago as unreliable. On top of that you just sourced to the main website and called it a day; that's unacceptable in every way. Nate (chatter) 16:03, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing

[edit]

Excuse my language, but what the hell are you thinking sourcing something in a Wikipedia article to COMMENTS?! Archived 2017-10-24 at the Wayback Machine That's something even the most reasonable beginner to this site knows they should never do. Don't ever do it again. Read our sourcing guidelines immediately before you continue here. Nate (chatter) 20:09, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Right here is when we blocked Nickandmore from any use here, because they merely reproduce press release and add on personal commentary. Just don't use it; it'll immediately be reverted. Nate (chatter) 06:26, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Re:Your post on Geraldo Perez's talk page -- No, that means do not do it at all, even as an in-line note. Never source to comments in any way. Keep them off here. Nate (chatter) 01:07, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for fixing up the List of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir episodes. There appears to be two Mitches who are the primary editors of the ratings site, so feel free to make corrections on the authors for the others. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:38, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

SpongeBob

[edit]

I would like to inform you that i have restored the new versions of DVD covers for the first and second season of SPSP. The file names are consistent again (SpongeBob S1/S2/S3/S4/S5/S6/S7/S8/S9.jpg), and the resolution has been reduced to 0.1 megapixels in accordance with WP:IMAGERES. Therefore, File:SpongeBobSeason2New.jpg will be deleted on January 16, 2018. Thank you for uploading these files and reminding to fix the mess created by the user who thought it was best to upload the old versions of the DVD covers. Cheers. -- Radiphus 16:20, 9 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

Hi. I'm just letting you know that if any more vandalism occurs from you account, there is a danger that your account might be blocked even though your little brother did it. You may be lucky and get off with a warning, but try to keep your computer or phone away from him and log out when you're not using it. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 12:35, 18 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is, sometimes when I log off, it logs out every computer that I use for editing, but I'm gonna take your advice. CriticismEdits (talk) 23:18, 18 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:American Greetings 2017 logo.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:American Greetings 2017 logo.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Update to scripts by AlexTheWhovian/Alex 21

[edit]

Information icon Hello! This is a generic message created and copied to all editors using scripts that I have created. As I have recently changed my username from "User:AlexTheWhovian" to "User:Alex 21", any scripts that I have created that are listed at your common.js page may, at the moment, no longer be working. To fix this, simply update all occurrences of "User:AlexTheWhovian" to "User:Alex 21"; see here for an example. All the best! -- /Alex/21 11:03, 4 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Cn25years.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
