If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on C.T. Taylor, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. NawlinWiki (talk) 16:26, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia:Articles for creation/C.T. Taylor requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.powerpresskits.com/PPKs/print.aspx?PPK=11981. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of C.T. Taylor, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.powerpresskits.com/PPKs/print.aspx?PPK=11981.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 00:02, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Acroterion (talk) 00:10, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not write or add to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Information icon Hello, Ctthatdude. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article C.T. Taylor, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. –

Sorry its not an autobiography[edit]

My name is Amit and I created the page as a fan noting him as a notable person as I put in the Article Wizard. The email I asked you to respond to is mine (misra.amit@gmail.com) and I put his that I got from his website so you know I'm not being malicious.

Sorry for the confusion.

You've given a strong impression that you're trying to promote the artist, which isn't acceptable. You do understand that encyclopedia articles don't contain phrases like "set the world ablaze with his talent"? You're taking promotional material and copying it straight into Wikipedia. It's been deleted both times as advertising. It doesn't matter if it doesn't have links, it's obvious promotion. Please review WP:MUSICIAN while you're at it: the standards for notability of musical artists are fairly demanding. Acroterion (talk) 00:19, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality[edit]

I didn't mean to make it biased or serve any other purpose than be informational as a display of his work. There is no contact information on the page or promotional statements.

Promotional editing[edit]

Language such as "Blessed from birth with the gift of gab and stunning charisma" and "Now he embarks on setting the world ablaze with his talents" is blatant promotion, and there are no two ways about it. JamesBWatson (talk) 09:43, 31 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article C.T. Taylor has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Just stop please[edit]

Clearly, you want Wikipedia to contain an article about C.T. Taylor. But you have given no indications that this up and coming actor is in any way notable. Wikipedia isn't here to promote Mr. Taylor's career, it is here to provide information on subjects that are already notable, as indicated by multiple instances of significant coverage in independent media. Until Mr. Taylor has achieved that standard, we can't build a verifiable article about him. Please stop trying until Mr. Taylor's career has progress further.
