Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Allen rahul dhar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. The article Allen Rahul Dhar has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. A little help[edit]

Hi Dftba10! I see this is your first article! Welcome to Wikipedia! You actually don't to send a request; you try and improve the article. Right now your article has 2 "header tags" placed on it: 1) Notability and 2) Additional Citations. The first questions whether or not the subject is notable enough to be included at Wikipedia. You can find out if the subject fulfills the requirements by looking at the Sports Categories for notability here: Notability (sports) and choosing the appropriate sport your subject falls under. If 1 or more criteria is met, the subject should meet notability. If it does not, you'll need to find evidence to prove that the subject does indeed fulfill those requirements. If not, the article may just be deleted for "non-notable" reasons. However, the second deals with "proving" that notability. All content provided within an article on a BLP (Biography of a Living Person) must have sources that are reliable and can back all claims made within the article. They must be provided and cited within that article next to whatever claim you are making: i.e. newspaper articles, magazine features, online sources, etc. But they must be removed from the subject (no personal website, social media accounts, blogs, personal interviews, etc); it should third party coverage of the subject. There are links that other editors can paste here; but I wanted to try and explain it in layman's terms. I think your first means of improvement would be: trying to find notability in the category of sports and proving it. I hope this helps! and GOOD LUCK! Maineartists (talk) 02:09, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hello., Dftba10. The above is almost but not quite correct. Maineartists is correct that sources being used to establish notability must be independent. However, once notability is established, other non-controversial facts may be supported by non-independent sources, including the subject's own statements. Also note that if a subject satisfies the general notability guideline that is sufficient, whether the criteria of the specialized sports guideline is satisfied or not. But usually the specialized criteria are better and easier to satisfy. Also, truly obvious (and non-controversial) content need not be cited, see You don't need to cite that the sky is blue. I've re-tagged the page as missing BLP sources because the link you added is not related to the subject of the article.--Cahk (talk) 15:34, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
