Speedy deletion of The Evening Funeral[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Evening Funeral requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Rnb (talk) 00:10, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

May 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with The Evening Funeral. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Rnb (talk) 00:25, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with The Evening Funeral. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Rnb (talk) 00:31, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:BoxSocial.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:BoxSocial.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. multichill (talk) 15:23, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of File:Warped Tour 05.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Warped Tour 05.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:08, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:BoxShow.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:BoxShow.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:07, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Jose E. Sanchez[edit]

Please see Talk:Jose E. Sanchez, I have commented that I do not feel the article has sufficient encyclopedic merit for wikipedia. I am not going to submit it for WP:AFD, but I am going to add a WP:PROD tag.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 02:22, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Jose E. Sanchez has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

If you can not get the article up to a standard that can pass a WP:BAND challenge within a week, you should request that an adminstrator at WP:AN userfy your article due to impending deletion concerns. In fact you can just move it to your own userspace by hitting the move link at the top and then entering User:EXIx2/Jose E. Sanchez or User:EXIx2/Sandbox/Jose E. Sanchez. If you are unable to do this check as AN. Saying that in a couple of months I will have sourced content is like saying the check is in the mail when your rent is past due. If you do not currently have access to sourced material to validate this article move it to your user space for a few months.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 21:01, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
readded the prod tag, looks like you removed it on accident EXIx2, in the future keep in mind {{holdon}} goes after a prod template, it does not replace it.kthxbai Keastes know thyself 03:58, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Update: January 24, 2011, I have added sources for the article for biography and performances, also I believe the article meets criteria for musicians because of my IMA championships. It is a state competition and I have copies of the information and pictures of the trophies in my own records. How do I submit these for validation? For Blue Man Group band auditions, I have the original e-mails sent to me from the casting director dated 2007. How do I submit these for validation, also? I have removed the proposed deletion tag ({{Proposed deletion/dated}}) because it allowed me to do so if the article had been updated. EXIx2

i would like to draw your attention to the last part of the {{newpage}} template, specificly where it says "Note: This template should not be used on biographies of living persons." further more, none of the sources on the page (with the possible exception of 1 or 2) meet WP:V and all of the external links are pushing WP:NOTDIR, im not going to say this article does not belong on wikipedia, but you have not by wikipedia policys shown that this page belongs here either, best of luck, kthxbai Keastes know thyself 04:11, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jose E. Sanchez.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 02:39, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

So instead of guiding me in a positive direction and assisting in my contribution to Wikipedia, you give me indecisive information on my artice. It is but it isn't and it pushes certain policies. None of the sources, with the exception of one or two...then that means my sources meet the criteria(s), correct? I'm confused. I can fix what needs to be fixed. I'd gladly add more third-party information given that TonyTheTiger would keep from stalking my page and declaring my deletion. I feel he has it in for me and I really wish to report his conduct. I want to be friends with everyone and help contribute as best as I can, but since I am depending on the reliability of third-party sources for my references, my hands are tied. Please bare with me. User:EXIx2/Jose Sanchez

ok let me try and be clearer, in my experience one or two (with a really lenient reviewer) would meet standards, most, if not all, of the rest, would be laughed out of a secondary school level research paper. if you would ask me questions on my talkpage i would be glad to help, also i thought i suggested that you look into being mentored (yay sleepdep). i would offer to do it myself but im a upkeep guy, not content, so i would be somewhat useless in that regard. also in regards to TonyTheTiger stalking [[WP:OWN|your] page, i came across it in the newpage patrol, and i almost placed a Criteria for Speedy Deletion A7 (No indication of importance (individuals, animals, organizations, web content)). As a rule, I do not like putting articles up for deletion, which is why i tagged the article for clean up, not CSD'd it, and kept an eye on it.
P.S. - i would suggest having Jose E. Sanchez userified as user:EXIx2/Jose E. Sanchez kthxbai Keastes know thyself 22:04, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
At any time you can request that this be userfied at WP:AN. You can then work on it in your userspace until you have proper references.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 23:34, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Keastes. I refuse to read anything TonyTheTiger posts on here. I appreciate your honesty and help in this matter. I will get all my references in order and try this again. What exactly did you look into in regards to him stalking? It was more than stalking, it was harrassing. I felt threatened, but its ok. I do hope I don't see his name anywhere near my page anymore. It makes my skin crawl. Jose Sanchez 03:27, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Norwegian American Hospital, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.wheelersbooks.com.au/books/9781627002370-new-connections-in-chain-mail-jewelry-with-rubber-and-glass-rings/#desc. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
