You need an army of 1000 monkeys to help you out. You could be their King. I was only thinking recently that I should visit Ganton Street. Stand and pan is the knack with video. But then you have to convert to ogg which is difficult to do well. I did a lot of streaming video encoding 15 years ago, but very little experience of shooting it. Much more to it than just still images, that's for sure. Edwardx (talk) 00:01, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
We have almost none (compared to still) because of the need for it to be in a free codec. Mp4 etc isn't free and neither are most of the codecs in use. ogg is but you have to convert to it using various doubtful programs available on home-made looking websites. I think Club de Monte-Carlo would indeed be a valid article. I thought I had done it but that turned out to be Grand Prix Club. I don't believe it was a talking rabbit, though it evidently thought it could fly. Perhaps it was trying to avoid arrest for drugs by Norman Pilcher. Thanks so much Edwardx – great to see these nominations and they are much appreciated. By the way, I think I've found another excellent source for Peter Russell, this one a contemporaneous account...seems even at the time he carried an air of dark mystery and wouldn't tell reporters where he was from, other than to hint darkly about bloodline from Norfolk and Huguenot on mother's side (I do so hope he finished off that reveal with a 'dontcha know' or a 'what').   • Hello Peter. I had to visit Chingford yesterday, and as September is Wiki Loves Monuments month, I photographed several listed buildings. I'm now creating articles for those without, including Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge. Generally, I think it's best to use up-to-date photos, so that our readers can see things as they now look. Of course, if there's space, it is a good idea to include several photos, perhaps including how they looked in the past. Added to the list. I do like the coded euphemisms, and "All night gaiety" is a short, pithy quote. Clearly, a relatively early use of today's near-standard use of gay for being homosexual. Indeed, the history section of gay confirms this. Interesting to contrast with the "old" usage of gay in the 1934 film The Gay Divorcee, a title I've always found amusing. It could be interesting for our readers to learn that the alternative (now mainstream) usage of gay has been around a long time. Edwardx (talk) 11:39, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
There's also "Dancing to Charlie" but I don't know what that means! It's ironic that if the club had not been closed down by the police we wouldn't have the material to write a proper article. All credit to somebody who saw fit to keep the details for the National Archives. There must have been many clubs of all kinds that were just as noteworthy but simply passed away without much record. I will finish it off later.
Incidentally, be wary of Gangland Soho as a source, almost everything in it is scraped from better sources elsewhere. I commend to you UK Press Online via Westminster Libraries which contains the original press reports of cases. Didn't know about Geldof. I'd be surprised if he owned it as early as 1982, but who knows (maybe we soon will know...)?

I've seen for some time that you are one of the very few good editors working with articles on organizations and their executives. I screen a great many incoming drafts in this area, and I try to detect and remove all undeclared paid editing. I sometimes come across those that seem so important that they might be worth rescuing. I don't have enough time for the mall, and I try to concentrate on those most familiar to me, educational institutions and their faculty and companies in the field of biomedicine. . DGG, thank you for your kind words. With Wikipedia's success and ubiquity, paid editing is booming, and we (volunteers) are struggling to cope with it. I'd rather be creating new content, but over the years, more and more of my editing time is spent on dealing with paid/COI editing. I would be happy to help where I can. I don't have a particular business sector, but prefer stuff where there are English language sources, or at least where I have some feel for the reliability (or otherwise) of the sources. I try to avoid stuff from countries such as India and Nigeria - Sisyphean tasks have limited appeal. I am interested in very rich people (especially billionaires), and in companies/organizations that receive relatively little coverage compared to their significance.
