If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Women4libya requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. →Στc. 00:02, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Justeditingtoday. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Farah Abushwesha have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Farah Abushwesha, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Farah Abushwesha. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Request reason:

I was trying to update my biography as I've been nominated for a BAFTA. I really didn't mean to vandalise or disrupt anything. I wanted to update it also to reflect my work. I'm sorry if this has been inadvertently done without malace Farahabushwesha (talk) 02:21, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

It would be better if you proposed content on the talk page and let other editors make the changes which have consensus. Let us know if you are willing to do this. PhilKnight (talk) 02:29, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Yes of course. Please remove everything that is there and add: BAFTA Nominated producer, best selling author and Dubliner Farah Abushwesha’s feature films include Emmy-winner Stephanie Laing’s IRREPLACEABLE YOU , Danny Huston’s THE LAST PHOTOGRAPH; THE PARTY; Pinewood Studio's PRESSURE with Danny Huston and Matthew Goode; teen thriller DON’T HANG UP and worked on the directorial debuts of BAFTA Breakthrough Brit Rowan Athale and BAFTA nominee Tom Harper. She is the founder of the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Competition for emerging screenwriting talent and author of the Amazon best seller Rocliffe Notes – A Professional Approach for Screenwriters & Writer-Directors and is writing her second book Rocliffe Notes on Low Budget Filmmaking. Farah has produced comedy content for the White House. Farahabushwesha (talk) 02:52, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This is not an unblock request. To make an unblock request, you need to convince us you have read and understood WP:COI and explain how your future edits would be different. Yamla (talk) 13:00, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I've already requested an unblock and explained I didn't realise I was contravening your rules. I am a massive fan of wikipedia and have always contributed every year. The previous reviewer said to post the revised content here for someone to change it. I've already explained why I asked for the block to be removed. There is too much personal information on there about me and I want it removed. I only want things relating to my work. Nothing else. Please this is really distressing, I have complied with all the instructions. Can you please delete this page now?Farahabushwesha (talk) 13:36, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Your editing has largely consisted of two things: posting promotional content about yourself, and attempting to treat an article about you as a personal web page which you can control, including removing content merely because you personally don't want it there. Neither of those is compatible with Wikipedia policy, and since your unblock requests make it clear that you intend to continue in the same way, unblocking would not be suitable. One unblock request at a time. And that's not what the previous reviewer said. They explained that you shouldn't edit an article directly if you have a conflict of interest, but instead suggest edits on the article's talk page, as per WP:COI. It's still not clear if you have read and understood WP:COI. Once you have done so, you may wish to edit your unblock request. --Yamla (talk) 14:27, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

December 2022[edit]

I have read your request for an unblock at UTRS, appeal #66319, and told you to post a request here instead. I am normally well disposed towards giving another chance to an editor who comes back after being blocked for such a long time, but you will need to post an unblock request which makes it clear that you understand the reasons for the block, and won't make the same mistakes again. It needs to be more specific than the request you posted at UTRS. That is because experience over the years has shown that editors who just make general statements such as that they "will pay attention to the guidelines", without saying in what ways their future editing will be different, very often don't actually understand the reason for the block, so in fact they do continue to make the same mistakes again. You should read Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks before posting an unblock request, because that gives advice on what is likely to succeed. JBW (talk) 15:02, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It it so important to understand and read the guidelines more carefully. To give you a better understanding I tried to remove myself from all wikipedia entries because the Trump administration had just got into power and announced that Libya was on the list of banned countries. I was applying for my visa to work, and I was advised to ensure that everything about me, reflected my profession experience, rather than my one year as an activist during the Libyan revolution. Being Irish and Libyan that was the corcern. I didn't at the time realise that the error came across as self promotional when in fact I was trying to update it. I didn't understand that this was the reason behind being blocked. I will of course be more careful and considered in future what I contribute having now read the guideliness mmore carefully. It is important that I too play a part in protecting the integrity of Wikipedia's content. I am a supporter of Wikipedia and know how important it is to keep it going. I do and have made annual contributions to keeping it going, which I will do regardless of the outcome of my appeal. Farahabushwesha (talk) 15:13, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator.
