Good evening FlightTerminationSystem! I'm your mentor, and I wanted to quickly introduce myself, and thank you for your excellent contributions so far. It's clear you have a great deal of specialist knowledge that is greatly appreciated here. I edit in similar areas, particularly in the genus Hypericum, so if you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out! Fritzmann (message me) 01:52, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thoughts on DYK?

[edit]

Hello again FlightTerminationSystem, thanks for your continued work! Your articles are consistently high-quality. I just wanted to introduce you to something called "Did You Know" or DYK - you may have seen it on the main page. It's a great next step to take as an editor, and gets a lot of eyes on pages that don't usually get a ton of attention. If you'd like some help with the process, there are certainly facts that would make for good hooks in some of your articles, like perhaps Caconemobius fori. Just let me know! Fritzmann (message me) 20:37, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Fritzmann and thank you for the heads up! I wasn't aware of how you submit something for that, but I've thrown something in from the Caconemobius fori page as a nomination FlightTerminationSystem (talk) 22:01, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Caconemobius fori

[edit]

On 12 March 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Caconemobius fori, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Kīlauea lava cricket disappears from a lava field as soon as any plants start to grow there? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Caconemobius fori. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Caconemobius fori), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
