Your submission at Articles for creation: Michael Ross George (March 19)[edit]

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted because it included copyrighted content, which is not permitted on Wikipedia. You are welcome to write an article on the subject, but please do not use copyrighted work. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 22:42, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Michael Ross George requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.edmbiz.com/speakers/michael-george/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on David Charles (filmmaker), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Notice

The article David Charles (filmmaker) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non notable film-maker--no major films

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

January 2020[edit]

Information icon

Hello Freyja10. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Freyja10. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Freyja10|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Melcous (talk) 18:21, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Melcous, thank you. Most of my articles are research essays I've done on people in entertainment, a subject I have a great interest in. I am still fine-tuning my neutral tone, and appreciate your input on peacocks and puffery, which will be helpful for future articles, as my interest is not in promotion, but in biographies. Please have patience, as I was unaware of this template and this policy. I am adding the disclosure template you posted above for any compensated edits. Also, I apologize, but the link in my signature to 'user talk' won't show up for some reason even though I formatted it like yours. Freyja10 (talk) Freyja10 23:11, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your response Freyja. In order to add your signature on talk pages, you just need to include four tildes (~ this symbol) which will automatically include the links and time stamp. Please be careful not to directly edit any articles for which you are receiving compensation but use the talk page instead (the easiest way to do this is using the Template:Request edit), and use the articles for creation process for new articles, and clearly disclose your employer on your user page and in your edit summaries (note this is not optional, but a condition of editing here that you agreed to when you created your account). Thank you Melcous (talk) 04:05, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm TheAwesomeHwyh. I noticed that in this edit to Ben Steinbauer, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. TheAwesomeHwyh 15:40, 26 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
