Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, GAJJR, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Cold War II, have removed content without an explanation. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can place {{helpme}} on your talk page along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia:

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! George Ho (talk) 21:00, 13 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributions

[edit]

Hello again. I noticed that your contributions are mostly unverifiable statements, including one that I reverted. Some or most of the statements may be challenged, especially when working on controversial topics. Have you read WP:Verifiability, one of WP:Core content policies? Also, have you tried out the WP:Teahouse? It's a place where they can help you improve yourself. Give it a try, and see how it goes. --George Ho (talk) 20:29, 31 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. Even for education, you must add source to cite a challenging info per WP:Citing sources. However, reliable source is needed usually. You might want to ask one of your teachers about Wikipedia, or you can go to WP:Help desk. BTW, I'm almost the same as you, but I have edited Wikipedia for more than ten years. If you are a student as part of Wikipedia:Education program, you may visit Wikipedia:Education program/Students. If it's for assignment, how about Wikipedia:Education noticeboard? --George Ho (talk) 23:29, 31 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Almost forgot, Glen; this essay is worth reading: Wikipedia:High-functioning autism and Asperger's editors. --George Ho (talk) 23:30, 31 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

English

[edit]

I surmise from your writing that English is not your native language. Your English isn't terrible, but if your contributions were allowed to remain (they have largely been reverted), they would all require a good amount of grammatical cleanup. Are you aware that there are versions of Wikipedia in many different languages? Perhaps you would be more comfortable editing the Wikipedia of your native language. Information icon Hello, I'm Marquardtika. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Nikki Haley, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. [edit]

Hi GAJJR. Please stop adding content like this. The grammatical errors make the sentence nearly incomprehensible as written. If I'm guessing correctly what you mean, then you're either mistaken or are phrasing it in a way likely to mislead readers. Please feel free to stop by the Teahouse if you have questions about editing Wikipedia. RivertorchFIREWATER 03:32, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Timeline of the Trump presidency, 2017 Q3

[edit]

Please do not add responses by individuals to President Trump's tweets or speeches to the Timeline of the Trump presidency, 2017 Q3. If we are to add all responses, we have to add both positive and negative ones as well which is not wise. Thank you. F2Milk (talk) 10:06, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

3rr warning

[edit]
Stop icon

Your recent editing history at 2017 shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 21:50, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Rules

[edit]

As an autistic person, you should understand the concept of rules. Wikipedia has rules, although many are not well explained. It appears that I am not the only editor who believes that your edits are inappropriate. I am willing to point to the rules that I (and others) believe that your edits violate, if you are interested. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 03:17, 2 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Dear GAJJR, I also would like to write to you about your contributions to the 2017 in North Korea article. I am aware of two contributions of yours: one about a statement by Putin, and another about an Executive Order by Trump. I think you did those two edits in good will, because actually the news you cited are real and noteworthy, in my opinion. The problem is that you wrote those contributions in a way that was very confusing... So I am inclined to believe that your basic intent may be good, and your sources are good. You just need to improve the wording of your edits. I have taken those two contributions of yours and improved them, so that they still are part of the article, but better worded. This is just a message of encouragement for you to do a better job. (talk) user:Al83tito 20:05, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve 2017 in Libya

[edit]

Hi, I'm Boleyn. GAJJR, thanks for creating 2017 in Libya!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please add a source.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Your English

[edit]

Hello, this is to let you know that I removed some content that you added to the Mount Agung article because it was not clear what was meant (incomprehensible). If English is not your native language you really need to consider whether it's appropriate for you to continue editing here. From my perspective, it doesn't look like you're a good fit, because these articles are meant to be read and understood by our readers. Dawnseeker2000 21:08, 28 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

year in Kosovo

[edit]

Please, stop adding links to articles about years in Kosovo to the Kosovo article [1]. We can't add all links about everything that is connected to Kosovo to that article. That is why we have a separate articles like Outline of Kosovo and History of Kosovo that are linked from the main article. Vanjagenije (talk) 20:16, 29 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of Warning Templates

[edit]

Please do not remove any warning templates other users have posted onto your talk page without a plausible reason. This is against Wikipedia policy and it is a act of Bad faith. Keep in mind that you are on your final warning, so you maybe blocked the next time you perform a similar action. 161.6.7.1 (talk) 17:08, 30 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It is not against policy to remove warning templates. The act of removal is an acknowledgement that the notice has been read and will be acted upon. The warning remains in the page history and will be taken into account if there are further violations. Lard Almighty (talk) 19:00, 30 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Kidnapping of Mormon missionaries in Saratov, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. Hi, I'm sorry, please do not take it personally, and it is certainly nothing bad. It is just general policy to wait until there is a lot of information about a future year before creating the page. It is totally understandable that you would make them! Rex Tillerson and Timeline of the Trump presidency edits

[edit]

Your edits of Rex Tillerson and Timeline of the Trump presidency, 2017 Q4 were really not adequate in clarity or grammar. I wonder whether you're trolling or just have a lot of trouble writing things properly. —BarrelProof (talk) 04:42, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is not working

[edit]

Yesterday someone posted here that they thought that you might be trolling on Timeline of the Trump presidency, 2017 Q4. I don't think you are, but your writing skills are both limited and lacking and you really need to stop contributing here. If English is not your main language, please work on a wiki in your native language instead. I'd like to give you an example of what I'm talking about. Today, after an editor significantly improved your poor grammar and a comma splice on 1843 Guadeloupe earthquake, you restored the incomprehensible version (without even saying why). Please don't take this personally, but instead, consider this question: What is the point of presenting an article like that if the readers won't be able to understand what it means? Dawnseeker2000 16:24, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Dawnseeker2000: I am afraid this user is a lost cause, considering they are unable to see the incomprehensibility of their contributions. --HyperGaruda (talk) 19:35, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:ONUS, please do not re-add disputed material without first reaching consensus at the entry's talk page, as you did at Black Lives Matter. Hi. In a little more than an hour, you have added this text to four articles where it doesn't belong, been reverted, and in fact re-added it at Black Lives Matter. Please stop adding it anywhere, as it's apparently hard for you to judge where it might belong. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Kidnapping of Mormon missionaries in Saratov, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:32, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
