Dates in references
[edit]Hi there! Thanks for the contributions to Wikipedia but I like to highlight to you on the dates in references. Wiki date formatting for references generally do not have comma inside so 6 April, 2021 will flag a hidden error. While the article Wang Gungwu indicates a dmy date format, I believe dates in references can be of mdy or dmy depending on the date of the source itself. Please do remove any commas in the dates of future references! Thanks --Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 06:45, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
- thanks for reaching out. I’m new to editing and creating content on Wikipedia. By the way, if I have made mistakes of copyright violations, would be great to inform me. I realised how serious copyright violations rules are in Wikipedia though it is free for everyone to volunteer their time to edit. Garethieus (talk) 15:28, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
- Welcome~! As per robertsky had mentioned below, feel free to ask on Wikiproject Singapore. If you are afraid of any changes, you can utilise your User:Garethieus/sandbox to practise or as a temporary placeholder and get someone to take a look. Do not worry about making mistakes as we all make mistakes till we are more familiar with the ins and outs of the place! --Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 01:45, 8 April 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; however, please remember the essential rule of respecting copyrights. Edits to Wikipedia, such as your edit to the page Tony Tan, may not contain material from copyrighted sources unless used with permission. Noted with thanks and thanks for reaching out. I have made mistakes of unintentionally making copyright violations. I’m new to editing and writing content on Wikipedia. Garethieus (talk) 15:22, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Garethieus, the same can be said for your recent edits on Toh Chin Chye and Goh Chok Tong articles. I have reverted those on Toh's and rewrote that on Goh's. We also have a WIkiProject portal for Singaporean editors. Feel free to drop by and ask any of us there for assistance. – robertsky (talk) 15:29, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
