Konkani words from other languages[edit]

Add pictures[edit]
Hey Gautam, its good that local ppl are adding information on this cuisine. If you can add pictures of individual dishes, i do from my camera phone. See if thats possible. And i tried to describe each of the dishes, but with your local expertise you can do much more like it did with our cuisine in Hyderabadi cuisine article. - Hi Thanks for your response, but I wasn't looking for a reply on my talk page. It would be better if you look at the RFD here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shree Jnaneshwari Peetha. Just go through the history of the RFD , so you will know how the conversation has progressed so far. Some of the editors have raiesd queries regarding the notability of the Peetha i.e. how manny followers does it have, what is the acceptablilty of the Guru in the community and the number of supporters/detractors in case of a conflict. As you know notability is an important criteria for keeping an article on Wikipedia. I have left a note there stating that I would ask you to reply since you would know these issues better. Hello, Gautamgoa. I have just seen your new article on Goud Saraswat Brahmin surnames. It would, I think, be more useful if titled "List of Goud Saraswat Brahmin surnames", as the meaning of the GSB abbreviation will not be clear to many readers. - As reviewing administrator I did not delete the article for it has meaningful content. However, such lists need to be sourced, or they cannot stand. You indicated it was moved--where did you move it from--this has to be specified, according to our rules for copyright. - It was moved within Wikipedia, DGG, from List of GSB surnames. I didn't think that the original title was very useful, and I changed it to a redirect. Sorry if I didn't follow proper procedures. In any case, I have no real knowledge of the subject matter. The article originator was actually User:Gautamgoa1984. I'll put a copy of this correspondence on his talk page. Karhade Brahmins history[edit]

The additions to the Karhade Brahmins article where you mention that Karhade Bramins are descendents of the Sakas needs citations.
Searches on Google Scholar and Google Books gave no leads to verify that information.

Speedy deletion of Template:Ethnic and social groups of the Goa and Konkan[edit]

No citations are present. After a long research I found no citations for these. So, its better to remove this from wikipedia.
