Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from List of characters in Archie Comics. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. A tag has been placed on First Comics News requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Speedy deletion of First Comics News

[edit]

Hello Gearalt Finlay, this is a message from an automated bot to inform you that the page you created, First Comics News, has been marked for speedy deletion by User:Glenfarclas. This has been done because the page seems to be about a person, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant (see CSD). If you think the tag was placed in error, please add "{{hangon}}" to the page text, and edit the talk page to explain why the page should not be deleted. If you have a question about this bot, please ask it at User talk:SDPatrolBot II. If you have a question for the user who tagged the article, see User talk:Glenfarclas. Thanks, - SDPatrolBot II (talk) on behalf of Glenfarclas (talk · contribs) 01:15, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have responded to your comments on this page on its talk page. TrulyBlue (talk) 16:22, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of First Comics News

[edit]

I have read your comments at User talk:TrulyBlue User talk:Glenfarclas and Talk:First Comics News about why you think First Comics News should not be deleted. I understand your point, but unfortunately it does not relate at all to Wikipedia's inclusion criteria. An organisation may well be the only one in the world that provides a particular service, but if it has not received significant coverage in independent reliable sources then it is not notable by Wikipedia's standards. If you can show that this web site has received such coverage then the article will not be deleted. I suggest looking at the guidelines on notability and reliable sources to see what is required. Also please feel welcome to contact me on my talk page if you have any further questions about this. JamesBWatson (talk) 16:29, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated First Comics News, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/First Comics News. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

License tagging for File:Rik.Offenberger2.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Rik.Offenberger2.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:06, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Rik Offenberger has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. joe deckertalk to me 00:56, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:First Comics News.png

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:First Comics News.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. James086Talk 05:20, 30 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How to footnote

[edit]

You're not getting footnoting right, you're manually typing "[1]" and the like, which is way less efficient and constructive. There's an easier way with Wikipedia coding, so please improve that on your Draft:First Comic News. See WP:Referencing for beginners for tips. MatthewVanitas (talk) 02:58, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:First Place Awards

[edit]

Hello Gearalt Finlay. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "First Place Awards".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:First Place Awards}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. --L235 (t / c / ping in reply) 03:04, 19 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited G-Man Comics, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Outrage, John Jennings and Luis Rivera. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
