Managing a conflict of interest

Hello, Georgiagirl502. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article DeAngelo Tyson, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

Wikipedia and copyright

Hello Georgiagirl502, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to DeAngelo Tyson has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

I'm new to this and did not know. I'd like to go in and edit what was entered to have it conform to Wikipedia's terms but that option is not there. Do I need to start over?

Sorry, but your userpage looked too much like a CV (resumé). CVs are regarded as advertising, because their purpose is usually to sell the person's services to an employer. As you are finding out, Wikipedia isn't social media or a directory. No advertising or promotion is allowed. Neutral editing is welcomed, preferably with reference to reliable independent sources WP:RS - and these are a must in the case of bios of living people, and most strongly advised in the case of anything controversial in other areas too.
