Disambiguation link notification for March 12[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Johnny Hon, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chevalier (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Unsourced additions[edit]

I have removed your unsourced additions to the article Johnny Hon. All content you add to the encyclopedia needs sourcing. Please refer to WP:Identifying reliable sources for how to identify appropriate sources for use on Wikipedia. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:07, 12 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Deannaa, Please note that all information posted to Johnny Hon Wikipedia page is sourced directly from Dr. Johnny Hon's website www.johnnyhon.com. Please allow us to maintain this page's accuracy based on the information from the said website, and refrain from removing further information.

  • Diannaa, please look at this joint again. Editor claims that sourcing to the subject's website is fine. Editor seems to think one can simply copy someone's personal website onto Wikipedia. If you and I get together and write up a grant proposal for the WMF, perhaps we can also become Lords of Chesterton. Drmies (talk) 03:47, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Gowiki1: Johnny Hon's website is a primary source and should not be used as the main source of material for a biography of a living person. It should only be used to augment what independent sources have written about the subject. We have no interest in what a subject wishes to say about himself or how he wants to be portrayed; the writings of disinterested third parties are what should be considered.
Please also note that the subject of the article has no right of ownership or editorial control over its content. Wikipedia is a collaborative project, and anyone who is editing in good faith may make changes. Consensus is Wikipedia's fundamental model for editorial decision making.
As you appear to be a single-purpose account, I must ask if you are in any way associated with Johnny Hon, either personally or professionally. If so, then you have a conflict of interest which you should disclose. If you are being paid in any way to represent his interests, then it is mandatory for you to disclose this fact, per Wikipedia's terms of use and paid editing disclosure rules. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 04:36, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 13:39, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
