Orphaned non-free image File:Monica car logo.svg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Monica car logo.svg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 03:26, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Michelin nyc 2006.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Michelin nyc 2006.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Christian Giersing (talk) 06:53, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dorothy Doughty requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. BurhanAhmed (talkcontribs) 17:09, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Jacques Bourboulon, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.artandpopularculture.com/Jacques_Bourboulon.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Hello, I am the admin that deleted Jacques Bourboulon and the message that you left on the talk page is correct, I should have contacted the creator, mea culpa. I read the statement that he photographed nude teenagers (paraphrased) could not find a reference to confirm it and immediately thought G10. In hind site, a rewording of the article, similar to yours, and a notification to contributing editors would have been much more appropriate. You have my apologies and I hope the next time our paths cross it is under more pleasant circumstances. J04n(talk page) 12:28, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Jacques Bourboulon has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Current spaceflight template[edit]

Would you care to explain your reverts, and ideally participate in the discussion at Template talk:Current spaceflight if you disagree with the template's guidelines? --Conti| 09:14, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • The template should not remain in place on spacecraft or spaceflights which are undergoing routine operations. They should only be used around the times of major mission events (eg. immediately after launch, during docking/undocking, during EVAs, end of mission, orbit changes, etc), or if something unexpected or anomalous happens (eg. the spacecraft develops a problem or fails completely). --GW 13:27, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Torchwood Miracle Day Title.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Torchwood Miracle Day Title.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. ╟─TreasuryTagwithout portfolio─╢ 10:32, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Enough with this, if you do not have a valid reference citing that IOC contacted WF, and that "s", "o", "c", "h", "I", "2", "0", "1", "4" (the most original piece in this work), and the PD-old Olympic rings, are an original work, you will be reported to respective noticeboards. Tristane Banon[edit]

Hi Hektor,

I saw your recent edit in Tristane Banon and was happy to allow it to stand, but a more experienced editor than me, who I am happy to defer to, deleted it. I do think on reflection the reference to Anne Mansouret should definitely have gone on BLP grounds. I shouldn't have allowed that. As for the meeting between lawyers, that's really 'newsy'. If something definite comes of it then perhaps that's the time to include. Since the article began as a translation of the French article, perhaps a good working test for including content (at least it would provide a justification), would be that it appears there. At any rate there's a section on the Talk page if you want to argue your case. Thank you. FightingMac (talk) 08:40, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on William Meynard requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Non-free rationale for File:Vache à boire.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Vache à boire.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 15:39, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Aleksey Ovchinin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A cosmonaut who hasn't yet gone into space (according to his record at Spacefacts). Fails notability criteria.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
