Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Tess Harper, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Jackal (film). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I don't understand what diffs are

[edit]

Regarding your comment at ANI — you know what a diff is, so you're just don't realise what the term means. A diff is a link that shows the change made by an edit, e.g. this. The link you added in the ANI request, "edit summary", is a good example of a diff; when the ANI header says to provide diffs, it's telling you to do precisely what you did. Nyttend (talk) 01:40, 10 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Nyttend: Thank you for the explanation. Hitcher vs. Candyman (talk) 04:05, 10 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. Sometimes it's a little difficult to explain something well, but I didn't figure that it would be hard when you'd already demonstrated awareness of the technique :-) Nyttend (talk) 04:08, 10 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Farhope Tower requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (film)

[edit]

Not sure why you tagged this article for having a COI issue, especially as you didn't initiate a Talk page discussion to clarify your concerns. Feel free to re-tag the article when you do so.

@Doniago: No need. I have left a COI message to the IP address. If you check the history, the IP address admits that he is the screenwriter and executive producer of the film. And thank you for letting me know I needed to start a discussion at the talk page. Hitcher vs. Candyman (talk) 05:19, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Doniago: By the way, I don't know if you noticed but you forgot to sign your name on your post. Hitcher vs. Candyman (talk) 05:23, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, sorry about that! I'm editing under an atypical setup and brain-farted on the tildes. My bad. Thanks for understanding my reversion! DonIago (talk) 05:30, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Doniago: No problem. Hitcher vs. Candyman (talk) 05:31, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Downsizing (Film) listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Downsizing (Film). Since you had some involvement with the Downsizing (Film) redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Steel1943 (talk) 21:08, 26 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited A Change of Heart (film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Miami Film Festival (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
