New Name of Mani Majra as Sector 13, Chandigarh

[edit]

Manimajra was renamed as sector 13 legally by UT government of Chandigarh in January 2020 and by February 2020 the new name was finally declared to be written everywhere on papers. Below are links to the decision:- 1). https://m.timesofindia.com/city/chandigarh/manimajra-to-be-renamed-sector-13-residents-elated/amp_articleshow/73114749.cms .

2). https://www.hindustantimes.com/chandigarh/chandigarh-s-manimajra-is-now-sector-13/story-ploFPCA4UGpDu9ksUxLtdL.html

Being a Indian resident, i would like to contribute to this new law which was passed by our government .

It is true that the proposal had been initially opposed in december 2019. In the initial proposal, names like Sector M or Sector 26 east were proposed. Here is the link for initial proposals made :-

3)https://m.hindustantimes.com/chandigarh/manimajra-rwa-wants-number-not-m-after-sector/story-Q7ZPsdh5y120cEqlVAKuhP_amp.html

4)https://www.dnaindia.com/india/report-chandigarh-to-finally-get-sector-13-after-54-years-of-formation-2813378

(these articles were published in newspapers in 2019 which is old).

5)https://m.tribuneindia.com/news/archive/chandigarh/mani-majra-to-be-sector-m-863728 (This link i provided over here was published in Tribune India in November 2019 )

But soon the final decision was made which overruled the previous proposals and finally the new name for manimajra was concluded as sector 13 by the beginning of 2020. The next link (6th Link) was also published in Tribune India with the final decision which was declared in February 2020 :-

6)https://m.tribuneindia.com/news/chandigarh/its-official-mani-majra-is-sector-13-of-chandigarh-39042

Please help me by putting your vote in the panel discussion on the talk page section of Sector 13.

Here is an example on how to put your vote ___________.

  • Support
  • Strong Support
  • Agreed

Click on the edit tab and please copy any 1 vote you want to put from the above or you can put you vote by putting a * star symbol followed by 3 apostrophe marks ' ' ' and then writing your word for vote like support, agreed etc and finally closing it with again 3 apostrophe marks ' ' ' in the end. Your edit on Hindustani language

[edit]

Hello Anupam! I see that you recently made an edit on Hindustani. I'd recommend you to go through Talk:Hindustani language#topic of article where I and another user:Austronesier have discussed how important it is to mention the "context" when describing Hindustani which has been used in multiple senses.

So the earlier version where I had mentioned : "In modern context, Hindustani refers to the colloquial base of Hindi and Urdu" no longer exists. Since, you have made the edits. I'd like to inform that it would be better if the older version (of above mentioned line) is restored as it mentions the "context" which is highly vital to being accurate in the concerned article (see the talk page).

Concentrating edits

[edit]

Thank you for your edits on Spiritual practice.

It might be helpful in the future if you edit a section, then try the "Show Preview" button, then continuing editing until you are satisfied, and only then save it. This will appear as a single edit in the edit history instead of a long chain of edits -- which makes the history easier to follow.

This is just a suggestion; if there are reasons to make a series of separate edits, you are certainly entitled to do so. Regards -- Clean Copytalk 15:44, 5 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your useful edit to the article Immaculate Conception, and I hope you can understand why I made some edits to it. [edit]

Template:Allhallowtide has been nominated for merging with Template:Halloween. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. Thank you. PPEMES (talk) 11:41, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

With all due respect, please check the discussion at the the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. As I'm sure you have probably noticed the Allhallowtide Template includes All Saints and All Souls as Main topics. Comparing the two templates, I think you will find that the Halloween Template (while containing some items that might better be under Allhallows) is very heavily oriented to pop culture, scary movies, tv episodes, costumes, etc. Given the different respective treatments, I do not see a real overlap, and therefore, think they should better remain separate, but a clearer distinction made between what belongs where. I read your link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:BOLD,_revert,_discuss_cycle - Fowler&fowler's reversal (with no consultation) of 6 months worth of edits from about 20 different users does not seem consistent with that guideline. I want to reinstate the changes Fowler&fowler rolled back as a matter of urgency. Firstly because i think a reversion that dramatic is destructive vandalism. And also so i can try to improve the most recent version so there is something optimal to discuss. Fowler&fowler repeated the reversion while i was working on the article, so the version immediately before that is not the best to discuss. Irtapil (talk) 05:58, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I had left it a bit messy for a few days because i got interrupted, so the version immediately preceding the destructive edit is not the best to discuss. I want to try to improve what was there, but they did it again while i was in the process of working on the page. I know edit wars are very much frowned upon but i'm not sure what the right way to deal with this is. Irtapil (talk) 06:18, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Pashtuns; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

Your recent editing history at Kanye West 2020 presidential campaign shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Hi, I corrected this "eastward orientation" business in Fixed prayer times and didn't comment any more there. But I feel this article needs more work; it leaves out important Talmudic and rabbinic commentaries in favor of quoting popular online sources. We have many Jewish editors who work very hard on their articles; an article like this doesn't represent the religion well, especially on the main page. Unfounded accusations of vandalism by Kami2018

[edit]

Good Evening, unfortunately, I have to write on your talk page due to the petty targeting, complaining, and accusations initiated against me by Kami2018.

I have been accused of edit wars, disruptive editing, etc, for making factual and well sourced changes to articles. I have provided all required sources for every change I have made. You can find the reasoning and sources for them on the talk pages here 6,here 7 and here, 8.

Rather than engaging and replying on the talk pages, Kami2018 has resorted to flippant behavior and is trying to get me banned by various editors/moderators. Kami2018 has been obtrusively imposing his views on to others and has been warned against doing so by various users numerous times in the past as well. I will not be engaging with him any further as he has time and again showed he is not one to be reasoned with. Thank you.

Hindkowan consensus

[edit]

Thank you for taking the time out to reply. Regarding consensus on the Hindkowan article, I would like to mention a couple of things before I get to whether it needs to be reverted to the previous version.

1) I had first edited that article on the 8th of March. For 5 whole months, nobody had a major problem with the edits on the article.

2) On 7th of August, I edited the Khalji article, which Kami2018 had already edited before.

3) On 9th of August, Kami2018 reverted my edits on the Khalji article.

4) On 10th of August, Kami2018 reverted my edits on the Hindkowan article, keep in mind he had nothing to do with that article prior to me editing the Khalji article. This only leads one to believe that me editing the Khalji article he was maintaining did not sit well with him for which he reverted the only page I had a big hand in editing.

5) Ever since, he has been senselessly accusing me of vandalism and edit wars when to be honest, the timeline of edit histories say otherwise. Rather than engaging on the talkpage and answering/countering genuine facts and reasoning, he has been trying to get me banned from wiki. Which I believe is petty and childlike and will amount to nothing more than this back and forth exchange.

Having said that, lets move on to the Hindkowan article and the changes I made to it.

1) I removed sources stating that "Other Hindko-speakers, mostly of the Hindu and Sikh faiths, have been living in Afghanistan for centuries and are known as Hindki". This is because it was not mentioned in the source provided.

2) I removed the Punjabi language tags and the Punjabi fonts because beginning with the 1981 census, speakers of Saraiki and Hindko were no longer included in the total numbers for Punjabis. Pakistan is where perhaps over 99% of the Hindkowans live and they have been classified as a distinct group of people, independent of the Punjabis and thus the Punjabi language font and tags are not required in this article. Once again, all this is well sourced information.

3) I had to remove a bunch of sources from the article, mostly because they dated from the British Raj era. The issue of whether of not such sources are reliable Wikipedia:RS has been tested time and again at all sorts of venues, including Wikipedia:RSN. The consensus has for many years been that they are not and, as such, we should not use them.

4) I had to remove countries from "regions with significant population" as the Hindkowan population in those countries was quite clearly, not 'significant' enough and amounting to only a couple hundred people (compared to 5 million in Pakistab).

4) Other than removing the above mentioned contents of the page, I also added more information to the article. All of this was well sourced and well structured.

5) Due to this, the page remained relatively inactive edit wise for 5 months before Kami2018 reverted everything, and took the article back to its out of date, poorly sourced, poorly structured version.

According to wiki, "Any edit that is not disputed or reverted by another editor can be assumed to have consensus." As mentioned above, my edits were pretty much unchanged for 5 months and thus we can assume that it by and large had the consensus of editors who came across it from March 8 to August 10 (when the user mentioned above reverted all my edits for reasons I am pretty sure we know)

Therefore, I think it goes against common sense reverting from a well sourced well structured article to a poorly sourced poorly structured article. A consensus should not be required and would have been required if the article was an essay based on opinions and not when it is an article about a demography backed with well sourced facts. As wiki says, " Instead of following every rule, it is acceptable to use common sense as you go about editing. Being too wrapped up in rules can cause loss of perspective, so there are times when it is better to ignore a rule. Even if a contribution "violates" the precise wording of a rule, it might still be a good contribution. Common sense doesn't need to be a policy; as a fundamental principle, it is above any policy."

Khalji dynasty

[edit]

Hi. I think the user kami is wrong (both on contributes and consensus). First the "majority" of users in Khalji talk page have consensus, and that's for the edits. (You can see it for yourself). Secondly the user w28394 have merely fixed the loop holes (which were obvious) on the article. I think as a positive contributor you should do the right thing and back him up. (At least on khalji page), Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:799:5E0:6000:9C:2AFE:FC36:AD3F (talk) 13:59, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly my point 2A01:799:5E0:6000:9C:2AFE:FC36:AD3F. Why are my edits being reverted to a poorly sourced version on the Hindkowan article over lack of consensus whereas no such action is being taken on the Khalji Dynasty article? Various editors dispute Kami2018s edits on the Khalji Dynasty article. Editors 84.211.3.220, Hayras123, Khestwol, Akmal94, FawadAliKhan11 are only some users who have not given consensus on that article yet Kami2018 has been editing the page and POV pushing the article without any repercussions.

Hindkowan consensus

[edit]

I have started a discussion on the talk page of the article and shall wait for the counter argument against my edits. I shall revert it if nobody replies to the discussion. In the mean time, I would like to discuss the fact that while my edits are being reverted to a poorly sourced version on the Hindkowan article over lack of consensus, no such action is being taken on the Khalji Dynasty article. Various editors dispute Kami2018s edits on the Khalji Dynasty article. Editors .Hayras123, Khestwol, Akmal94, FawadAliKhan11. 84.211.3.220, 2A01:799:5E0:6000:9C:2AFE:FC36:AD3F are only some users who have not given consensus on that article yet Kami2018 has been editing the page and POV pushing the article without any repercussions.

Re: Khalji Dynasty

[edit]

The others on the talk page have been discussing the same issues I have been discussing. I have not received a reply on the talk page countering the edits by Kami2018. I believe you are saying that when you tag multiple users its not canvassing but when I do it is considered canvassing for some odd reason. That is interesting to say the least. I believe you adhere to the warning as well since you initiated it.

Edit warning

[edit]
Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Abraham shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree.

Having had your suggested edit reverted twice, your next step is to go to the Talk page and explain why you feel the changes you wish to introduce would improve the article. Achar Sva (talk) 21:35, 31 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring and sources

[edit]

Hi. I would appreciate it if you stopped edit warring at Malakand District‎ and History of Malakand. First, predatory journals should not be used – I don't think this would ever be negotiable. Second, it's not up to me to gain consensus for removing unsourced text; the WP:BURDEN is no you to provide sources for this text. Thanks. – Uanfala (talk) 00:41, 25 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Moved from User talk:Uanfala

Greetings User:Uanfala, actually the articles you mention included the information prior to me even touching them. I simply improved the sourcing and now have even supplanted the reference you found to be inadequate. Per WP:BRD, it is now up to you to gain consensus for the removal of the reliably sourced information. I will continue to revert you if you edit war against the status-quo version. I hope this helps. With regards, AnupamTalk 00:45, 25 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Anupam, a lot of the content was there before you came along. But it was entirely unsourced. Your "improvement" [13] consisted in adding references to a source – academicjournals.org/journal/JLC/article-full-text/CBBA2D553114 – that was on the spam blacklist. I don't know how you might have failed to notice that. And at least some of that content, like the story of Mahmud's invasion of Swat, has been characterised as legendary by an actually reliable source, and one that you've ostensibly cited elsewhere (that's Scerrato's paper mentioned at Talk:Torwali people). – Uanfala (talk) 00:56, 25 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Replying to your question: I found that article from your contribs. I haven't look at any other articles there. – Uanfala (talk) 23:01, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Frankly, I believe that a substantial chunk of your contributed content may need to be examined (though I don't want to get involved in any of that). I've recently had the chance to look at the content you've contributed to two articles – as you're aware, I've commented at Template:Did you know nominations/Torwali people and at Talk:Din-i Ilahi#Akbar's respect for Jesus. In both cases there are serious failures of WP:RS and WP:OR. These are basic principles of Wikipedia; we may see newbies who break them, but it's extremely disappointing to have an experienced and productive editor disregarding them so often.
You should correct me if I'm wrong, but your approach to article writing seems to involve going on Google Books, typing a search phrase and then writing up what you see in the snippets and previews on the first page of results. Searching like that can be useful for identifying potentially relevant sources, it can even work when you're combing for simple facts (like birth years of people, or altitudes of mountains), but that's no way to write articles. Get the books and papers and read them. Use a library. Ask for specific resources at the resource exchange. That way, it will take a lot longer, yes – but the results will be better. – Uanfala (talk) 23:16, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Discussion has continued at User talk:Uanfala#Re:Edit warring and sources. – Uanfala (talk) 00:59, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

December 2020

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;

Alexbrn (talk) 20:50, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for quality articles around spirituality in India and Pakistan, such as Composite nationalism, All India Conference of Indian Christians and Direction of prayer, for fighting vandalism, for promoting cure by peace and kindness, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!

Regarding the Psalms: I am not convinced that splitting Protestant in Lutheran and Nonconformist is a good idea, - could we please discuss that? First we just said Jewish, Catholic and Protestant. Then came someone saying Anglican needs extra, can't be taken as part of Protestant. Now you try another split, but what then about Reformed, United, etc.?? - If usage is different for a certain Protestant group, that could be mentioned in the body, but the sentence in the lead is rather meant as emphasis for a quite broad ecumenical aspect. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:54, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Covenant Renewal Service

[edit]

Hi there. Thank you for all the editing you have done on Covenant Renewal Service. However, one point that you have added has me puzzled: the claim that Covenant Renewal is held at watchnight services. I have never encountered any report of that being done. Can you give more information, please, e.g. where and when this has happened? So far as I can discover, Covenant and Watchnight traditions are entirely independent. Thanks. seglea (talk) 17:13, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your speedy reply. After I'd left the message above it occurred to me to try the UMC site, and I found the article you cite. It's odd that tradition developed in the UMC, because so far as I know (and I've checked with some historians) it has never been so in British or British-derived Methodism, where the tradition of holding Covenant services is much stronger - they are almost always on the first Sunday of the year. Watchnight services are now virtually extinct in the UK anyway, but even when they were common they were never that I know of linked with Covenant - though it might have happened in some parts of the country, or in some of the non-Wesleyan Methodist churches that existed before British Methodist union in 1933. I will adjust the page to make it clear that there are geographic differences here. seglea (talk) 19:56, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Anupam

Your move

See Talk:Caste system among South Asian Christians#Issue with the above for discussion of this, which seems to me to belong here not there.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Soan Meeraas, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement of web.archive.org/web/20140318122557/http://soanmeeraas.in/about-us. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
  • It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Evangelical theology shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Viktorija Faith category

[edit]

Hi there, I left a note in my edit that Viktorija Faith was not selected for Lithuania, as noted on the page itself and on Lithuania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. I'm unsure where the confusion lies as the Eurovision categories only have selected artists, not national final artists. Since the first line of the page even notes that she did not win the national selection, I don't see the reason to have a discussion about it rather than just removing the incorrect categories. 2600:8801:AC00:9C9:400E:6B:6A5F:E184 (talk) 21:51, 24 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An ip user has been copypasting their original work into those articles, and I'm not well versed enough in Wikipedia procedures to deal with it properly. It was not original work, I am new and was confused. I see now that the writing was not up to standard, and will improve it before posting again somewhere in the future. I will be more careful to place it in the correct article as well or create a new one. I will also take some time to properly refute all of the other theories, and ask some local Witches to help me properly explain how the Orthodox Chrism is a form of Witchcraft. (Unless they tell me it isn't, then I'll admit I'm wrong.) They are suggesting Calamus, which is a dangerous poison and could lead to the serious bodily harm of an innocent. Here is a barnstar to show appreciation for the NPP reviews you did back in 2018. We realize this is late, but NPP fell behind in some coordination activities. We have just caught up with giving out deserved barnstars. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 03:40, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Creating a WCom. category and linking it to the Wikidata item

[edit]

Hello. I am not sure if you know it, but you can link a category on WCommons to its Wikipedia article. It helps keeping things tidy. For example, with an image you uploaded an did not put into a category :

  • create a category on WCommons category putting it inside another category by clicking on the '(+)'. For example, https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Agpeya can be put into the cateogry "Prayer book".
  • Then, on the left an "Add links" link will appear, so that you will be able click on it to link the category to the Agpeya article.

Please approve draft

[edit]

Dear Sir/Madam,

I respectfully request your assistance in reviewing my draft article, Draft:Mughal Khel. As a sub-tribe of the Yousafzai, the Mughal Khels are unique in that they are the only Yousafzai tribe residing in Southern Pakhtunkhwa, where they speak a soft version of Pashto. They are based in Bannu and their history and cultural practices have been documented in various online sources and books.

It is my hope that by writing this article, I can contribute to the knowledge base about the Yousafzai tribe and highlight their rich tradition of migration and cultural diversity. I would greatly appreciate your guidance and support in ensuring that the information is accurate and suitable for submission on Wikipedia.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely, 18:08, 1 February 2023 (UTC)Isparki — Preceding unsigned comment added by Isparki (talkcontribs)

Old sock again?

[edit]

This one seems like a sock of this banned user, considering how hellbent they were trying to remove the same content [19], as IP [20], [21], [22], [23] [24]. @Aman.kumar.goel, LearnIndology, and Gotitbro:.- 117.201.112.141 (talk) 12:20, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please see these changes. Also see the changes to the content supported by Witzel's source, that is, usage of the word — 'ancient' before 'Hindu' and 'northwest' before 'Indian subcontinent', which are not exactly written in the source. A tag has been placed on Laicization (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Methodist canonical hours.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the image description page states the source and copyright status of the derivative work, it only names the creator of the original work without specifying the status of their copyright over the work.

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the original image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Thanks again for your cooperation. — Ирука13 06:29, 10 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A long time ago you edited Christmas tree. You had seen there was a separate article for Chrismon tree. You swapped a {{anchor| for a {{main| . However, you had not checked for any possible references to #chrismon tree. By removing the anchor, you broke linking, included from inside the same article (check gallery at end of #Artificial_trees)

An 'anchor' is the destination of a link - *explicitly* created by someone - and just destroying the anchor without finding every use of that link destination is "not a good" thing.

I'll go fix the two broken usages that I know about. Maybe you could look for more? Shenme (talk) 06:27, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
