Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Ghanta singh has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/ghanta.singh.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 07:14, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ghanta singh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. noq (talk) 07:17, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Sheena Chohan at the Dubai International Film Festival.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sheena Chohan at the Dubai International Film Festival.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 01:06, 20 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article Alap Desai has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. --Finngall talk 20:05, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Wgolf. I noticed that you removed a Biographies of Living Persons PROD and I wanted to let you know that I have replaced it. Please don't remove these Biographies of Living Persons PRODs from articles unless they contain at least one reliable source or were created before 18 March 2010. If you oppose the deletion of an article under this process, please consider adding reliable sources to the article or commenting at the respective talk page. Thank you. Information icon Do not remove Biographies of Living Persons PRODs from articles, as you did with Alap Desai, unless reliable sources have been provided. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the respective talk page instead. Thank you. Wgolf (talk) 16:23, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Some answers...

[edit]

Read WP:BLP to see the sourcing requirements for a biography of a living person. Sources to confirm facts within a BLP MUST be from reliable sources.... not blogs or social media such as Facebook or video clips from YouTube.

Look for proper sources...
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
WP:INDAFD results: Alap Desai
To use the URLs as citations, follow the insuctins at WP:CITE.

And best of luck. Schmidt, Michael Q. 17:54, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion pending for File:Alap Desai.jpg

[edit]

Hello, Khyati296. Some time ago, a file you uploaded — File:Alap Desai.jpg — was tagged with {{OTRS pending}}, indicating that you (or perhaps the copyright holder if you did not create this image) submitted a statement of permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Though there is often a backlog processing messages received at this address, we should have received your message by now.

  • If you have not submitted (or forwarded) a statement of permission, please send it immediately to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.
  • If you have already sent this message, it is possible that there was a problem receiving it. Please re-send it to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.

If we don't hear from you within one week, the file will be deleted. If we can help you, please feel free to ask at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 14:44, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Continued addition of unsourced content

[edit]

I have reverted your edits at Eijaz Khan as you added paragraphs of information without the inclusion of reliable sourcing; as you have been notified of the policy requiring the use of reliable sources already this behaviour is disruptive. Please ensure the content you add to biography articles is supported by reliable sources (← please click this link! Material attributed to sources not meeting this criteria will be reverted!) and that the tone is appropriate for an encyclopedia. Thank you for uploading File:Nandish Singh at Malad for a portfolio shoot by Angad.JPG. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 23:51, 1 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Karan Pahwa, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. In reviewing the page for possible deletion, I decided instead to move it to Draft:Pervin Saket so that it can be worked on further to demonstrate the notability of the subject. If you have any questions, please ask on my talk page or at the Teahouse. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 22:47, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This draft, Draft:Pervin Saket (which i moved from the main article space, see above) has no inline citations, but does have a collection of bare links in a section labeled "References". They are not really references as they stand, but may be sources which could be used as references. However, several of them do not really qualify. For example the first is to an essay written by the subject Pervin Saket, not about her. The second is to a Q&A style interview, which means it is largely in Saket's own words. What is needed is several independent published reliable sources that discuss Saket or her work in some detail, at least several paragraphs each. These need not be online, nor in English, althoguh it is helpful if some are. Then these should be used to provide the content of the article, and preferably cited inline. See Referencing for Beginners for information on how to do this. Feel free to ask any questions on my talk page or at the Teahouse. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 23:13, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notability requirements for creating articles about people living or dead

[edit]

G'day, I just CSD'd one of your articles (above) and upon checking out your talk page noticed all the other deletion notices. Please note that articles that are created need to meet certain notability criteria, which are outlined in WP:NBIO. Specifically for actors (see WP:NACTOR) these are:

  • Has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions.
  • Has a large fan base or a significant "cult" following.
  • Has made unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment.

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Pervin Saket, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:32, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Pervin Saket

[edit]

Hello, Khyati296. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Pervin Saket".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 04:01, 24 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
