Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Mantu appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Help me!

[edit]

Please help me with... Hello

I need help publishing an article about the company "Mantu"

I am an employee of the company and have been asked by my company to create a new page for Mantu on Wikipedia, but I hope someone will help and write it for me. The content is here:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Khynds.

Not sure what else I need to provide or detail

Thank you Khynds (talk) 11:33, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Khynds,
Thank you for telling us that you are an employee of Mantu. There are a few things to mention:
  1. The place where you put your content (User:Khynds) is actually your "userpage". It is meant as a page where you can write a small amount about yourself, the person operating this account. Its purpose is for you to let other users of Wikipedia know a bit about you, and what your interests and goals are on Wikipedia. There is more detail in the userpage guidelines about what is and is not appropriate content.
  2. The proper way to start a new article is using the WP:Article wizard. It will start a draft article, where you can cut and paste your article content into. When you feel that the draft article is ready, you can submit it for review. Other uninvolved editors will evaluate your article and either accept it, or send it back to you for revisions.
  3. Please be aware that a company isn't automatically entitled to have a Wikipedia article just because it exists. Your draft article must show that this company meets Wikipedia's notability criteria to be considered worthy of inclusion. The editors who review your draft article will check your sources to make sure that they are considered both reliable and independent, and there is enough in-depth coverage of Mantu.
  4. The {{UserboxCOI}} template on your userpage is not quite sufficient in this case. Because you are being paid by Mantu, you need to replace it with this code: {{paid|employer=Mantu}}. This will provide a clear and easily noticed disclosure of your employment, which is required by Wikipedia's paid editing disclosure policy.
  5. If your draft article isn't accepted the first time, don't get discouraged. Creating new articles is one of the most difficult tasks on Wikipedia, especially for new users who aren't aware of Wikipedia's various policies and guidelines. You can ask for help at either the Wikipedia:Help desk or the Wikipedia:Teahouse, a forum specifically designed for new users to ask questions of more experienced users.
Best of luck with your future edits. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 12:48, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
hello Drm310

Thanks for you help :)

I am not being paid to edit Wikipedia by my company. So would I still use the template/code you suggested above?

Thanks

Khynds (talk) 14:29, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You are an employee of the company and you were asked to write an article about the company. They don't need to be paying you specifically to edit Wikipedia... you are doing so in the course of your work for them, and you're representing their interests. That is enough to qualify you as a paid editor under the policy - so yes, please make use of the {{paid}} template example above. Thanks. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:46, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed that you included the template in the draft article. It's not meant to be placed there, so I removed it and pasted it onto your userpage instead. Now that your content is in the draft article, please remove everything from your userpage, except for the {{paid}} template. You can add some other content later, again keeping in mind the userpage guidelines.
hello Drm310

Thanks for your help. I think I have sent the article for review now and removed the information from my own userspace :)

Khynds (talk) 15:11, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Actually you wiped out the {{paid}} template, which is supposed to stay. I've put it back for you.
Best of luck with your submission! --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 15:24, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Mantu (company), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
