[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Hiran Chatterjee has been reverted.
Your edit here to Hiran Chatterjee was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.facebook.com/hiranfriendsclub, https://www.facebook.com/machomustanaa, https://www.facebook.com/leyhalualey) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Your contributed article, Template:Hiraan Chatterjee
[edit]Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Template:Hiraan Chatterjee. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Hiran Chatterjee. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Hiran Chatterjee - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. -- WikHead (talk) 00:31, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
Hello, I'm XLinkBot. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Hiran Chatterjee, because to me it seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thanks,

This is your only warning; if you insert a spam link to Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Not using Facebook as a resource
[edit]Hello Kingshukgiri. My name is Calmer Waters and I came here after a report about some of your recent edits. You appear to have an interest in the article about Hiran Chatterjee and that is fine. We need those interested in subjects to help refine and develop them into better articles. This entails adding citations and reliable sources that come from an independent neutral third party. Facebook almost never qualifies for this as the site page is updated by either the subject themselves or someone representing them and is not a reliable independent source for an encyclopedia. As this article is also a Biography of a living person, anything added that is not sourced or cited, may be challenged and removed, and continuing to do so becomes disruptive, so no more Facebook additions. This is to protect these persons. Failure to abide by this policy can be ground to have your editing ability on this site removed. Please, if you have any questions about this, please ask. You can leave a message here, on my talk page, the help desk, or a {{help me}} template on this page. Thank you Calmer Waters 09:20, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- Which report? Actually, I came here to give a notice/warning for removing Citation needed etc templates and re-inserting Facebook links! --Tito Dutta ✉ 10:20, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

The article Shikhar Srivastav has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Concern about your edits
[edit]Hello Kingshukgiri. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Kingshukgiri. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Kingshukgiri|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Yngvadottir (talk) 23:01, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- Kingshukgiri, I was concerned about the article you created, Shikhar Srivastav, because it was not only a biography of a living person without any references (see the notice above and Wikipedia's strict rules about such articles at the link), but also the text included footnote numbers with no footnotes, which usually means it has been copied from somewhere else, and in addition I discovered that articles at that title and at Shikhar Srivastava had been deleted several times, including at a deletion discussion. However, an administrator told me that the new article was not the same as any of the deleted articles, and provided me with a couple of usable references, and I added one that I found in my own search and another that was in use at our article on the film Boxer. I was able to save the article, at least from proposed deletion, although I found a lot that was simply not applicable, including the name pronunciation (for a different actor) multiple categories relating to awards, statements in the article about his starting his career on stage and about TV appearances, and a good article template (!), and while the birth date and the Punjab origin category might be valid, there was absolutely no source justifying having them in the article. This was extremely disturbing; I thought perhaps you had used another article as a template and forgotten to remove inapplicable material, but it was very careless work, especially for a biography of a living person. I considered asking for earlier versions of the article to be revision deleted as misrepresentations, and would have done so if I had found something you copied from on a site other than Wikipedia.
- Earlier today, you blanked the article and recreated the same text at Shikhar Srivastava, which is a non-permitted way of moving it (and technically copyvio, since you did not state in your edit summary that you were copying within Wikipedia). I fixed this by making your new article into a redirect to the one you had previously created, since both versions of the name occur in the sources. You then added overlinking, over-bolding, and several references, one of which was already present and others that added no useful information. But this one would be useful at the article on the film, so I looked at your contributions to see whether you had added it there, and discovered you created an article that is now at Draft:Tollywood Talkies (it was moved from mainspace on 5 December by Souravforu; I think you should have been informed of this). Your first version of the article on this "Promotion and ... PR company" states that the founder is "Kingshuk Giri" (in my quotations I have escaped a wiki-link to a disambiguation page and omitted an indefinite article; otherwise the wording and the links are your own). That matches your user name, Kingshukgiri. Under the WMF terms of use, you must disclose if you are editing for pay, and that includes as head of your own business. You are also subject to Wikipedia's broader conflict of interest guidelines. You should not be editing articles about yourself or about films, actors, or companies that your business promotes, but only suggesting edits on the talk page, and as I understand the rules, you must make a declaration that you are a paid editor. I am also concerned since that first version of Tollywood Talkies, from January 2018, had at the top templates dated May, June, and October 2017. An earlier version of the article was deleted after a discussion in March 2016. I am not an administrator, so I cannot compare the two versions; possibly, like Shikhar Srivastav, your version is better than the deleted one, but if you created it using the same text, it should be speedy deleted. In any event, it reveals that you have a serious conflict of interest and need to declare it before editing any more. Yngvadottir (talk) 23:01, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
