1. Please assume good faith. If any of my edits have seemed unconstructive, please keep a cool head and notify me of my mistakes promptly. I try to be helpful and if I cause a problem, it is purely accidental; in no way are my edits meant to be offensive to anyone. Besides myself.
 2. Please sign your posts. Sign with four tildes to record your username and timestamp. Sinebot is watching, you know.
 3. Respond to all messages at the place where the discussion began. Meaning, if I post a message on your talk page, respond to it there, and if you post on my talk page, I will respond to it here, unless you specify otherwise.
 4. Nonsense gladly accepted. I like receiving messages, and I promise not to bite. Even if you think your questions are trivial, they may not be, at least to me. :)
 5. Place all new messages at the bottom of the page. Clicking on the link below will do this automatically for you.
 6. My page is constantly being monitored by dedicated talk page stalkers. Some of them (I probably don't know them all) are The ed17, IceUnshattered, Juliancolton, Nutiketaiel, Sonia, and Little Mountain 5 off the top of my head. Most of the time they lurk in the dark, but some of them might respond to your comments before I do. Don't be alarmed though; they might provide you with better responses than I can.
 7. Email me if the matter is confidential. But please include the word "Wikipedia" in the e-mail title so that I won't inadvertently delete it or have my spam-eater destroy it.

Barnstar

[edit]
The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
No problem...but can you leave me some vandalism to revert besides the stuff on your page? :). SpencerT♦C 02:00, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanked on talk page. —La Pianista (TCSR) 02:05, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I have to go now, but I'll leave the stuff (vandalism) to you now. Thanks again, SpencerT♦C 02:09, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting vandalism

[edit]

My pleasure. That guy was trouble on a stick. New account to indefblock in less than 20 minutes! Best regards, --Bradeos Graphon Βραδέως Γράφων (talk) 02:06, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

=D

[edit]

That was fun...that was one of the the most fun I have ever had on the Internet... =D -talk- the_ed17 -contribs- 02:53, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No kidding. For me, too. :)
I'm adding this to my page, btw:
This user is friends with the ed17.
Don't worry, there's no obligation. :D —La Pianista (TCSR) 02:56, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Coincidentally, I am adding this to my userpage.
This user is friends with La Pianista.
No worries, as there is/are no obligation(s) that you will incur as a result from this action. =) -talk- the_ed17 -contribs- 03:04, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And, just for kicks and giggles, this edit puts you in a tie for 5th for the number of edits I've made to user talk pages... =) All in one day! Woot! -talk- the_ed17 -contribs- 03:24, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Saw your edit summary. Actually, it should be "result of this action." ^^ You should have known what you would get once you started a conversation with a gnome. ;) —La Pianista (TCSR) 18:43, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
ACK! But last I heard, the gnomes were allied with my mortal enemy, the Kittehmaster! You're one of those "rebels", I hope... And, by the way, you are in sole possession of 5th place now. XD -talk- the_ed17 -contribs- 18:52, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
...? —La Pianista (TCSR) 20:03, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe I should be more clear! On the edit counter, it keeps track of where I have edited....on the list of user talk page edits, you are in 5th. ...and the first sentence was just me being stupid again. XD —the_ed1705:31, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ah. But 'tis not stupidity, my friend; 'tis...'tis...I don't know what 'tis...
But thou shalt not slander the WikiGnomes, or else thou shalt face the wrath of my Sharpie! —La Pianista (TCSR) 22:37, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(outdenting for sanity) ....a bad sense of humor. =)
BRING IT! =p Wait, thou has the "Huggle" sceptre...thou hast the ability to revert faster than moi. -_- Is there any way to sue for peace? —the_ed1722:49, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps. Btw, are you on the wiki all the time? I get these responses from you within a fraction of a second. KABOOM!La Pianista (TCSR) 22:51, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, not all the time. Just a lot... (no homework!!!! =D) Also, I like my watchlist...Lastly, I am a talk page stalker.
"KABOOM!"??? What, did you just detonate something? —the_ed1722:54, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
By KABOOM, I was describing the relative quickness of your responses, Ed. Stupid men, how can they not get women's logic?La Pianista (TCSR) 03:47, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ooooo...and now, come on, no turning it around!!!!! -_- (or stop checking edit summaries!) and this edit was 18 min after yours...check my contribs, I haven't been on all this time. =Dthe_ed1704:06, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Meh. That just shows that you're still checking your watchlist more than you ought.
But I'll be off to bed. Before I go though, you might want a look at this. Kinda like my reaction the first time an edit of mine was undone when I was a n00b. ;) —La Pianista (TCSR) 04:20, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Look at this.
Welll, I read the edit summary (it appeared on my watchlist! I couldn't help it!)...And yes, I'm addicted, but I get all of my homework and studying done, so I don't mind. =)
Oh my gosh, that was sweeeet! Reminded me of my reaction when I got blocked in '07 =). My friends here thought that it was "awesome" and "cute". THe third was just like, (I quote) "Whooooaaaa". lol! Cheers and g'nite, —the_ed1704:27, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite! XD —the_ed1704:40, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, La Pianista. You have new messages at The ed17's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the Talkback or Tb template.

A while

[edit]

Leave it there for a while. I didn't get my first review for a week and then had to have large intervals between them. Chubbennaitor 12:49, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh and you'll never guess what 5 people veiwed my secret page and didn't sign the again one was me so three people didn't sign. Chubbennaitor 12:50, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

63?!?!?!?!??! 62 people viewed your page. Chubbennaitor 20:46, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

friends

[edit]

Don't worry I don't hate you anymore!--Spittlespat (talk) 01:16, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hm. I could read that as an admittance that you did hate me in the past >:-(...
...or I could do the right thing and accept your friendship...
Haha, sorry to kid with you there. ;) Of course I'm willing to be friends with you. :)
One note, though, since you've blanked your anti-vandal class page, would you want it to be deleted? If so, I will tag it for you. —La Pianista (TCSR) 03:35, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and about the Wikifriending - It's L-a P-i-a-n-i-s-t-a, with an "i" between the "n" and the "t." Your page spelled it as "La Piansta." :) —La Pianista (TCSR) 04:26, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I mean the "n" and the "s." And I call myself a gnome... —La Pianista (TCSR) 20:16, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So starting on the bloody murder episodes huh! I love that show (even though it's just on Wikipedia!) Hey maybe we can make userboxes saying this user is a big fan of Blooody murder! Also is it okay if I make my signature blue?--Spittlespat (talk) 23:37, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you can make your sig blue! In fact, I can design it for you. Wait just a moment, but stay online for me a minute. :) —La Pianista (TCSR) 23:38, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ok thanks, rember make new episodes of blooooody murder.--Spittlespat (talk) 23:41, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here is the code:
<span style="color:darkblue;font-family:comic sans ms;cursor:help">Spittle</span><span style="color:dodgerblue;font-family:comic sans ms;cursor:help">spat!</span> <span title="Representation in the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA)" class="IPA">ǀ</span> <small><span style="color:orangered;">T</span> ♦ <span style="color:limegreen;">C</span> ♦ <span style="color:goldenrod;">S</span></small>
And this is what it looks like:
Spittlespat! ǀ TCS
Check out what happens when you roll your cursor over the "Spittlespat" part. :)
But this sig is pretty long. Here are the directions for using it:
 1. Create a subpage called User:Spittlespat/sig.
 2. Copy the code I gave you onto the page and save. Do not add anything else to that page.
 3. Go to "my preferences", which is at the top of your screen.
 4. In the box that says "Signature", type .
 5. Save your preferences.
And then you're done! Tell me how you like it. :) —La Pianista (TCSR) 23:57, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I give.

[edit]

How do you start yourself off with Huggle? I downloaded it, but.... —the_ed1706:19, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, in the beginning I had a bit of trouble. Have you unified your account yet? If you still have probs, I think I'll need a little more info. :) —La Pianista (TCSR) 20:07, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, that's the first time I've messaged you and you didn't respond within five seconds... —La Pianista (TCSR) 20:34, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey now. Not nice. =) Um, I unified the account, but I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to .css! —the_ed1702:25, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well..."it's better to be rude and wish you had been nice, rather than be nice and wish you had been rude."[citation needed]
I can't remember who said that though. =D
Anyway, you're having a problem with css? What exactly is the prob? —La Pianista (TCSR) 23:17, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
See my addition to your quote...How do know that you didn't just make that up?
Umm well, how do I start that darn thing, and what do I have to put in that css? I downloaded it and I have a pretty icon on the desktop, but.... —the_ed1702:12, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
To tell you the truth, Eddie, I've got no clue either. Just copypaste the code from mine (minus the enable:true part) and paste it onto yours yours.
And sorry for the rudeness. :) --La Pianista (TCSR) 02:17, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I mean, minus the "enable:true" part because you already have it. Meaning, don't remove it. :) —La Pianista (TCSR) 02:18, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I'll try it. =) —the_ed1702:26, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How do you start it? (I get an error message after I click the icon... —the_ed1702:31, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(outdent)At the Requirements page, it lists:

 • .NET Framework 2.0 – already installed if you have Vista, AWB, or another .NET 2.0 application, otherwise download here.

Have you downloaded it? (and I found your secret page in the meanwhile) :D —La Pianista (TCSR) 02:34, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good question...I'm not on my computer anymore (I let a friend use it for Warcraft III) but I will look at that tomorrow...thanks for the help! —the_ed1703:33, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I couldn't find your secret page today...I searched for 15 minutes, too. -_- —the_ed1703:34, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hehe. Well, good night, sleep tight. L8terz... La Pianista (TCSR) 03:35, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, you too. See ya! —the_ed1703:44, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I found this and figured that you deserved it...cat-lover.

Thx 4 teh kitteh! i luvs luvs luvs kittehs! :D :D :D —La Pianista (TCSR) 19:02, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I try...and I figured that you'd like it. =) Gosh, I'm such a great guy, I know. You don't have to say it. I just know that you are thinking it. XD —the_ed1719:05, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
To join the secret cabal follow me!

Whack!

That's for you. —La Pianista (TCSR) 19:08, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

LOL you just made my day!!!! Hilarious!
And owwww. I have injuries anew...will SineBot save me? XD
The smiley was there to show that I was kidding you know. =)
I knew you were kidding. It's just my crooked sense of humor. :P But...aw...I thought I was gonna be attacked next time!
Oh, well. BTW, teh Sinein' man didn't sign your comment. Oooo...La Pianista (TCSR) 23:25, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like Tux to the rescue! He will provide you with an animated image of himself when he was a baby, which you can watch and admire his cuteness.
Now don't you feel better? —La Pianista (TCSR) 03:01, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you WOULD have been the next to be attacked, except that someone had to go and pull out a trout.
I'm hurt. SineBot hates me....='(
Awwwww Where's my shotgun.... =p Cheers! —the_ed1703:06, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
But, now, a trout can't be that harmful, eh? ;) —La Pianista (TCSR) 03:08, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Um, the shotty is/was meant for "Tux". ;D Who is replying in 2 seconds NOW!the_ed1703:15, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
(e/c) LOL, yeh. But, to quote you, you know, "Forgive and forget!"
But no more of the tongue-in-cheekness, eh? The insides of my cheek are starting to hurt. ;) How are your injuries? —La Pianista (TCSR) 03:17, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
=p (e/c) hilarious...oops!
They are close to mortal. Tux jumped me before I could hobble over to my shotgun, worsening my injuries. Only my recent experiments with Twinkle vanquished him. —the_ed1703:30, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
...
I must break to you the fact that I have run out of treatments for you. Unless...
*gasp* What is that? Why, it seems as if Kittehmaster has come back! And he has regurgitated his gigantic, magical furballs all over your wounds, healing them instantly! Huzzah! And don't make me slap you with a trout again... XDLa Pianista (TCSR) 03:39, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(outdent) Ummm wasn't Kittehmaster the bad guy? (or am I on the right track if I say that his a kitten and therefore cannot be evil...?) Secondly, isn't "huzzah" used as a battle cry for the good guys? (Disregard this if the other parenthesis is true)
NO TROUT SLAPPING NEEDED, THANKS.
So here's an interesting doozy...online on Warcraft III, there is this girl "from Tennessee" who is infatuated with me...I've never seen her before, never talked to her in real life—I just played with her in like 3 different games. Her name on there is "MHS_cheerleader" and she "was voted as the hottest girl in the school" and she "wants to be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader"...she has a "sex-crazed boyfriend" who she "keeps having to stop" (she "wants to wait 6 months").........But here's the kicker: she happens to not have a Myspace or a Facebook, and also...she claimed to not know what Facebook is. Do you think I am right in thinking that it is some idiot playing tricks with my mind? I dunno what to think... Anyway, I thought that this might make you laugh, but seriously, what do you think? (you being a girl and all =]) —the_ed1703:56, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I say you shun her. Nothing shouts TROLL ALERT! TROLL ALERT! louder than a crazy "cheerleader" who "falls" for a guy who deserves to be slapped with a trout. Remember - WP:DENY.
And teh Kittehmaster simply cannot be evil since he is a kitten. After all, kittens can't be evil. Anyone who has seen this has to agree with me.
He probably only attacked you in the first place because you gave him the impression you were a dog, imho. :) —La Pianista (TCSR) 17:34, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
LOL that just made my day...you've done that two days in a row! XD Why do I deserved to be slapped with a trout this time? =)
Nice link there! =D How cuuuute.
-_- How am I a dog...? Answer carefully.... =) lol! —the_ed1718:05, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
First question: No reason. I just like slapping random guys with trouts and making their day. Period.
Second question: You tell me. You know you best. XDLa Pianista (TCSR) 18:07, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Remind me to not ask you out if we ever meet....that would be an abusive relationship. =p
How can you call me a dog without a reason? —the_ed1718:09, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
...Because there is no other reason for teh Kittehmaster to attack, anyways. It just makes sense. Ok, officially out of abusive things to say.La Pianista (TCSR) 18:12, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
But I'm not ;> Wouldn't you be the dog because you are the *ahem* girl [dog]. =p
Just kidding. =) —the_ed1718:17, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, you'd better be kidding. (pulls trout from pocket) —La Pianista (TCSR) 18:18, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Why was a trout in your pocket? (Pleh, those jeans'll smell gooooood later. =]) —the_ed1718:27, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(outdent) I had just put it there a few moments ago, so it won't smell, thank you very much. I simply took it out of my pocket for a more...erm...dramatic effect. Fanfare, please! —La Pianista (TCSR) 18:29, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay then. How 'bout the wet, slimey and dead(?) thing that was just in your pocket then? A bunch of girls hate spiders, so a cold fish? (How can a girly-girl like you DEAL with that? =p) —the_ed1718:32, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Breaking news for ya, buddy:
I ain't no girly-girl. I'm a pianista - and pianists aren't girly. Dere ain't no sissy 'round here. Chopin, Bach, Beethoven, and Rachmaninoff toughen us up. :D
But lookie here, da pianista has got 2 go. She's gettin' a little pre-occupied wit da Huggle.
C ya soon...
La Pianista (TCSR) 18:43, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Some kind o' gangsta, are ya? Ain't you special. =)
Psh, all those guys are/were sissier than I am. ...and THAT is hard to do. =)
Hope that you are/did have a ton of fun with ze Huggle! —the_ed1720:46, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Special, yeah? Checkit out - C da bling?
Anyhoo, I had great fun with Huggle. Sorry, my gangstaspeak only goes so far - whew! :) —La Pianista (TCSR) 20:51, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Lol I was wondering when you'd run out of gangsta speak!
Nice bling.....ooooo.....ahhhh......wowwwww...... 'm in awe here. =)
How does Wikipedia affect your piano playing? =] —the_ed1722:28, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, not as badly as most would think. Teh super-pianista is able to finish her work, edit Wikipedia, and practice her instrument well enough to win coveted bling for her piano pwnage! </gloating>. :)
On another note, I'll be off-wiki for several days due to vacation to a mystery spot. The only clue I will give you is that...it is in the Solar System. Even more revealing - it is on Planet Earth.
So bye for now - unless I edit a bit tonight before I go. ;) —La Pianista (TCSR) 19:22, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So.....modest......
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who is going to make me laugh when I log on? =(
Anyway, (serious now) have a ton of fun, be safe (i.e. make sure that you can edit as soon as you come home =]) and make lottsa new mem'ries. Cheers! —the_ed1720:02, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(outdent) LOL, c'mon, I'm not dead. :)

Who knows, we might see some smelly sock activity... :D —La Pianista (TCSR) 21:21, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I know that. (You better not be!)
LOL inventive name =) Very original! —the_ed1723:09, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, but not nearly as inventive as this dude, an alternate account of this dude.
See you around buddy...and look at your stats - if you add up the number of times you've edited my talk page (plus the two archives), I'm now number two! :D :D :D —La Pianista (TCSR) 05:10, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ooooo that IS a good one...my fav is Bishonen and Bishzilla, though. (Bishzilla ROAR!)
OoooooOOoooOOOooo you must feel soooo special to have such a distinguished user editing you talk page...=p
STOP EDITING! Go out and have fun, whereever you are. [In all likelihood,] Wikipedia will be here when you get back. Cheers! —the_ed1705:26, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just to reassure you, I did see that edit summary...dork. =) —the_ed1705:53, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
HEY! I told you to go have fun!!!! Leave Wikipedia behind for a short time!!!! =D (Maybe its you who misses us!) —the_ed1719:26, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
...Have you been watching my contribs? Stalker! :D
Nah, it's not what you think. The flight hasn't left yet...and I'm still at home. Boohoo, woe is me. —La Pianista (TCSR) 19:32, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
/*Ed shifts about uncomfortably, refusing to look at Pianista's eyes.*/ =)
Oooo. Lol!
That was a hilarious edit summary last night (the one on your user page). —the_ed1719:44, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

huggle again....

[edit]

I downloaded .NET Framework 2.0 and it said that it was incompatible with a previously installed version (or something like that)... -_-

I guess that I just won't use Huggle! =D No big deal, just more typing. —the_ed1705:18, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to barge in, but I just wanted to tell you that something has gone wrong with Huggle. Everyone seems to be having some sort of problem with it, looking at the feedback page. Check WP:HUG. But if that's not your problem, did you uninstall the previous .NET version before installing .NET 2.0? You have to do that. Cheers. Chamal Talk ± 11:27, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How do I uninstall it? (I feel sooooo computer illiterate...) —the_ed1715:15, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you have Windows, go through the start panel and click "Control Panel." Then click "Add or remove programs."
If that doesn't work (or if you have Mac), I'm practically stumped. I have a feeling Chamal is more compu-literate than I. ;)
But Huggle works fine on my computer. It was wacky for a few days, then I re-unified my account and fixed it...somehow. :) —La Pianista (TCSR) 18:58, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I'll try that...so much work for a little huggle. =) Thanks! (gotta do a little vandal fighting if I ever want to go for admin, so...IF being a key word...) —the_ed1719:12, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So I'm using Twinkle now....everything's fine, but how do I stop it from adding every page I use it on to my watchlist? —the_ed1704:15, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Jumping in again - sorry about that ;) You have to add these lines to your your monobook.js page. This will configure Twinkle to not watch any pages; CSD noms, PRODs, Reverted pages or talk pages where you issue warnings.
TwinkleConfig = {
	watchSpeedyPages :	[],
	watchProdPages :	false,
	watchRevertedPages :	[],
 watchWarnings : false,
};
For more about configuring Twinkle, check here. Cheers. Chamal Talk ± 15:04, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No prob, keep jumping in! And I looked at that page and couldn't make heads nor tails of it, so...that's why I asked. =) Thanks! —the_ed1715:06, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Did I add it in right? (I think I broke it...=/...) —the_ed1715:11, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
When I try to revert something with Twinkle now, it gets this far and stops.
Grabbing data of earlier revisions: revision 238971329 that was made 1 revisions ago by Pete.Hurd

Info: Open user talk page edit form for user 205.202.32.98
Did I add it right? =) —the_ed1715:20, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have to keep "importScript('User:AzaToth/twinkle.js');" as well. Check my page if you want. (I've added all the settings, but it's not necessary - you can add only the lines you need) I'm watching CSD, PROD and warnings, but not reverted pages. Chamal Talk ± 15:23, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It still doesn't open the user talk pages automatically...it stops at saying "Info: Open user talk page edit form for user ____"! =( —the_ed1715:31, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If the talk page doesn't open, maybe your browser bocks pop ups - it opens in a new window. But if it doesn't continue from there, I'm stumped :( But it does take some time, so give it a few seconds and see. Chamal Talk ± 15:40, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So I can warn people, but I can't revert 'cos it won't open the user talk page....? Weiiiird. (And it worked last night with the same settings I was using before....) —the_ed1715:47, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I can do anything EXCEPT open user talk pages....wtf? —the_ed1715:49, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, damn!!! I don't understand. (I feel I'm just cluttering this page up. Sorry La Pianista) The talk page opening shouldn't be a problem - it's not supposed to stop the reversion. I have popups blocked and talk page doesn't open, but the revert works. But it does get stuck for sometime if the edit has already been reverted by someone else, before displaying the message about it already been changed. La Pianista, are you around? Urgent help needed from someone who is not an idiot like me... Chamal Talk ± 16:02, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh. my. gosh. -_- I tried to just "restore" a previous version, and it is stuck with a message saying "Reverting page: data loaded..." Stupid vandal-fighting mechanisms....sorry for all of the trouble guys. =/ (On the other hand, thanks for the help! =])—the_ed1717:04, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm in now, thanx. But by all means, Chamal keep it up - you're no idiot. :) I'm not into scripts at all, either - I just copypaste it from some folks who know how. :P
Anyhow, my two pennies: just copy my TW code on my page. It's the stuff that starts with "Twinkle config" (naturally).
Actually, I nuked the old "AzaToth" js code, and Twinkle still works fine. So, just copypaste mine over your code and see what happens. ;) —La Pianista (TCSR) 17:12, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and no worries about the automatic page watching. I've disabled that on my script already, and it works swimmingly. —La Pianista (TCSR) 17:15, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I give up...it worked last night just fine, and it's only now that I can't open talk pages. I don't understand! Can someone delete that page and I'll start over from scratch (and see what happens...)? Thanks... —the_ed1717:23, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Dang, so sorry for the screwup! I guess it's best to scrap it all and start afresh, like you said. Sorry, Ed. :) —La Pianista (TCSR) 17:24, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What are YOU sorry for? It was fine until I started playing with it. =) don't forget to reply to the other message above, in the other section....I'm kinda interested to see your response. =)the_ed1717:28, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(outdent) Well, you could go through the history and undo your edits before the mess-up...if that's permissible. —La Pianista (TCSR) 17:29, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I tried that...I'm wondering if it locks in after you edit it, cos there is some warning about "if you preview, the changes you made will be applied" or something of the like. —the_ed1717:31, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Have you bypassed your cache? After saving, of course. —La Pianista (TCSR) 17:33, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
DELETING AND BYPASSING WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! THANKS GUYS!!!!! =D —the_ed1717:54, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. :D :D :D And I responded to the "stupid conversation." —La Pianista (TCSR) 17:57, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it still watches the pages, but I can live with that...(at least it works!) Thanks a bunch guys & gals! —the_ed1718:08, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nasty vandal

[edit]

Dear La Pianista, I just saw the vandalism of IP 207.62.70.250 on your userpage and talkpage. It was nasty. Thanks for reverting the vandalism of that IP and keep up the good work. Have a nice day! AdjustShift (talk) 18:52, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Aw, you're welcome. :)
As Hugglers, we see nasty stuff like that (and others) of the same or even higher caliber. It's the price we pay for doing the dirty work. —La Pianista (TCSR) 18:55, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, we vandal fighters pay the price. But unfortunately many people don't understanding the value of vandal fighting. And thanks for you message on my talkpage. It was really nice. :-) AdjustShift (talk) 19:03, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ironic, how after reading this very message, you beat me to reverting the vandalism on the Physical law article :(. Blooded Edge Sign/Talk 18:58, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ha ha, joined the club, B.E. :) —La Pianista (TCSR) 18:59, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I still manage to beat numerous other users, without the use of Huggle. Good 'ol rollback! Blooded Edge Sign/Talk 19:00, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I also don't use Huggle. Unfortunately there are too many vandals. AdjustShift (talk) 19:04, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately? I wouldn't look at it that way. If there were less of them around, how much of a chance would non-Huggle users have against Huggle users, in reverting rare cases of vandalism? Plus, awards such as the RickK anti-vandalism barnstar and etc. would loose some of their value. :P Blooded Edge Sign/Talk 19:09, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
<evil comment>You're right about Huggle vs other tools. It'll be like Battleship vs Dinghy. (evil laugh inserted here) </evil comment> Chamal Talk ± 00:34, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there LP,

Normally I wouldn't respond here and expect you to be watching your coaching page... but since I am returning to the project (after Ike) about the time that you are going on vacation, I wanted to let you know that I'm currently reviewing you and asking some more questions on your coaching page...---Balloonman PoppaBalloon 04:22, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. My mind is brimming with answers to your questions, and I'll get back to them when I can Monday-ish. Cheers! —La Pianista (TCSR) 05:11, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

=) Thought that I should finally get you back...and are you happy? I changed the wording to "smack" for you...Who cares? It's all onomatopoeia, right? =Dthe_ed1722:54, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
U spelt "onomatopoeia." Of courz teh nome iz hapy. —La Pianista (TCSR) 19:26, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It was easy to spell! With Mozilla's spell checker :D (I forgot that last 'e' the first time)the_ed1719:34, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
;) Yeah, good ol' Firefox. It bailed me out of many an embarrassing misspells...
But now a question...is it true that the 17 of your username can be translated as half-1337 (Don't ask me to leetspeak, I know zip), so that you are "the edit"? Or is that pure, Ed-ish coincidence? —La Pianista (TCSR) 19:39, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I love it too. =)
Ahum ... umm ... you ... you caught me!!! NOOOO! DON'T SHOOT ME, DEPUTY! IT WASN'T ME! Anyway, no it's a "pure, Ed-ish coincidence" Whatever THAT means...:) I think that I took the name the_ed17 'cos on hotmail ed and the_ed were taken...the_ed7 was born until I got spammed out...so that morphed to the_ed17...and then I stopped using hotmail in '04-'05 for a time (no internet!). But the tradition carried onto here in '06, when I was like, "hmmm, I need an account to create Akin Ayodele and Wykon Yes, I know that it was deleted =(...why not the same name as that old hotmail account?" And then, as they say, the legend of Ed began.
I almost want to change my sig to "King Ed" or "Dictator Ed" or have a running gag of "King Ed BOW BEFORE ME!" or "Pres Ed VOTE FOR ED" or something...what do you think? —the_ed1719:52, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I say Vote for Ed.
But I think "the Ed" pretty much sums it up, right? Aren't I La Pianista, not una Pianista? :) —La Pianista (TCSR) 19:55, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
HA! That link made me chuckle....I haven't seen Napoleon Dynamite in a lonnng time. :)
I know that it sums it up...but its been summing it up for 2 1/2 years now...=D —the_ed1720:05, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AAU reminder notice

[edit]
A friendly reminder from the Adopt-a-User project =)
Hey there La Pianista! This is a friendly reminder to update your status at Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User/Adoptee's Area/Adopters whenever it is appropriate in order to provide new users with the most up-to-date information on available adopters. Also please note that we will be removing adopters who have not edited in 60 days. If you become active again (and we hope you do!) please feel free to re-add yourself. Cheers!
Waiiiit. Is the bot saying that you are not active? Okay then, considering that you edited yesterday.... Of course, the obvious question is "what are you not actively doing that you should become active in again?" ;D lol! —the_ed1715:11, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hm, yah, that's weird. I guess someone reported me manually...*draws light saber*...I think I'll have to find out who... —La Pianista (TCSR) 18:16, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh wow. Oh wow. Oh wow. I almost fell of my chair (seriously, I did, no joke) while I read the lightsaber part...completely unexpected. Isn't there some Wiki policy against death threats? ;D Watch yourself! lol! —the_ed1718:41, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'll be careful, thanx...but for future reference, that light saber is still drawn - out 'n' ready. But perhaps I'd better get my butt moving and assign my adoptees some work. ;) Any suggestions? —La Pianista (TCSR) 19:15, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ummm well, if they've already done a PR, have them review a GAN? —the_ed1719:32, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well...do you think this girl is ready? She's pretty young and doesn't yet have much of a grasp on policies (hope this doesn't hurt sunshine, if you ever read this, but it's true). —La Pianista (TCSR) 19:35, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Mmmm. Didn't look at the adoptees...well, um, expand a stub with relevant info...? I don't know... =/ —the_ed1720:35, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Don't mean to butt in, but to be honest, I'm not really sure she's all that excited and dedicated to becoming a Wikipeidan. I think she just kind of thinks her userpage is cool. :P And about the AAU notice, I got it too, and it was sent by a bot, so it was probably sent to everyone just as a reminder. ~ Bella Swan? 22:50, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Bella. So then...should I un-adopt her or something? Since, of course, she really hasn't graduated, I can't let her go with the "graduated" userbox. —La Pianista (TCSR) 23:32, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My userboxes seem to be overlapping, and I have no idea how to fix it. Do you happen to know how, or know another editior who does? Thanks, ~ Bella Swan? 22:50, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Where are they overlapping? BTW, nice font in your sig. :Dthe_ed1723:06, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
In Mozilla FireFox, they don't overlap, but in IE7, they do. Just to be safe for people using both browsers, try reducing what you have to at least three columns (I use two for those of us who don't maximize our windows).
The code is:
<center> {|style="float:center; background:none;" |Whateveruserbox |- |youlike |- |Moreif |- |youneed |} </center>
Of course, it shows better in edit mode (just disregard the tt's and nowiki's). —La Pianista (TCSR) 23:29, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
