Vandalism?
Hi LearnIndology, can you explain why you labelled the editing here as "vandalism"? -- Kautilya3 (talk) 14:28, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
- I'd like to know that as well, LearnIndology. You are an experienced editor by now — you should know better than to label an obviously good-faith and well-sourced edit as vandalism, even if it wasn't the best kind of thing to add to a lead section. Please review WP:NOTVANDALISM. Bishonen | tålk 16:21, 3 September 2021 (UTC).
- I recognize that I should have been more careful with my edit summary. I'll be more careful to click on the right button when I rollback edits. I apologize. LearnIndology (talk) 16:37, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
- Good, thank you. You mean you'll apologize to Scorpion18470, I presume? You have no reason to apologize to Kautilya or me. Bishonen | tålk 16:42, 3 September 2021 (UTC).
- I appreciate your understanding. I will apologize to Scorpion18470 too. LearnIndology (talk) 16:52, 3 September 2021 (UTC)

Hi!
Hi there. I already have a Wikipedia account. It is just that I sometimes feel bored to use it.
Thanks. 115.96.219.193 (talk) 11:02, 9 September 2021 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Ost316. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Vedic wedding ceremony. Please do not do this. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. As a rule, if you discover a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If a page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you wish to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Ost (talk) 07:23, 11 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Ost316: I am sorry but that page is clearly a WP:CONTENTFORK of Hindu wedding. The discussion regarding the 'merge' was initiated long time ago[1], but it seems like nobody was interested. LearnIndology (talk) 09:39, 11 September 2021 (UTC)
- The discussion was a question that no one responded to, so it is not a good indicator of consensus. The page was not currently tagged with a {{merge}} template, so editors may not have been aware that there was a discussion. WP:CONTENTFORKs are also not inherently wrong; the Hindu wedding article is fairly long, so if this topic was notable on its own and had much more content, than a fork could still be reasonable. I don't know enough about the topic and you may be correct that they are the same topic. If that is the case, blanking the page is not the appropriate way to rectify this concern; the content should be appropriately merged (for instance, I don't see a mention of Arya Samaj on Hindu wedding, which may be reasonable to include) and the page replaced with a redirect. —Ost (talk) 23:32, 11 September 2021 (UTC)
- Oh Yes! You are right. I forgot to redirect the page. I apologize for this silly mistake. LearnIndology (talk) 04:41, 12 September 2021 (UTC)

Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Rigvedic rivers. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 00:17, 13 September 2021 (UTC)

In this edit, you have presented a quote from Alexander Evans, which showed only a part of a sentence. Can you explain why you did so? -- Kautilya3 (talk) 15:21, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- I did not had access to Evan's article at that particular time, so I used snippet available, which was: "the Pandit community was forced to leave the Valley" as you can see here[2]. But later I got the access and I didn't saw if anybody could be misled with the snippet that I had provided. LearnIndology (talk) 16:06, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- These are longstanding issues - for an example, see this discussion from less than a year ago. I suggest that you change your ways. TrangaBellam (talk) 14:35, 15 January 2022 (UTC)

Pro Hindutva stance and biased approach towards Kashmir.
Be neutral and factual. Ubermenich (talk) 14:39, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
Why did you remove my added content with reliable sources?
I recently added riwat site 55 and articles supporting archeological findings in Pakistan which are thousands of years old. Why did you feel the need to remove something backup by academic articles and books?
Because he promotes Hindutva version of history. Ubermenich (talk) 14:40, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

Removed native language
I came across several articles in which you have removed the native names even if the article names are in Kashmiri language. eg Tosa Maidan, the name itself is in Kashmiri language so there is no need to remove the native name ? signed, 511KeV (talk) 06:39, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
- I have removed that as per WP:INDICSCRIPT. LearnIndology (talk) 06:48, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement topic ban
The following topic ban now applies to you:
You have been indefinitely topic banned from all pages and discussions concerning India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, broadly construed. Please read WP:TBAN to see what "topic banned" means.
You have been sanctioned for the long-term problems explained at this arbitration enforcement request.
This topic ban is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/India-Pakistan#Final decision and, if applicable, the procedure described at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. Please read WP:TBAN to understand what a topic ban is. If you do not comply with the topic ban, you may be blocked for an extended period to enforce the ban.
If you wish to appeal the ban, please read the appeals process. You are free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. Johnuniq (talk) 11:16, 17 June 2022 (UTC)
Sorry to hear ...
that you have been topic banned. Although I have long had disagreements with you I did not think this was the correct decision. Anyway, no point crying over spilled milk. You might want to look at articles such as Fiji, Trinidad, and Tobago, Suriname, Guiana, Mauritius, and South Africa, where there are large communities of Indian origin. They had all arrived as indentured servants from India in the 19th century. They would not fall under IPA broadly construed, and if they do, I'd be happy to appeal. I will return soon to editing V. S. Naipaul and will be able to give you more advice, that is, if you might be interested.
If you are upset, take a look at File:Visual Art of the first indentured Indian labourers arriving in Mauritius (1834).jpg of the first indentured workers arriving in Mauritius in 1834 en route to other outposts. and a beautiful picture, File:East Indian Immigrants in Cacao Estate Trinidad 1903-2.jpg that I had uploaded of Indian workers taking a break from work at a cocoa plantation in Trinidad. Please remember that the people in the first picture no matter how saddened a state they might have been, saw their arrival as deliverance. None went back to India. The link had snapped.
