I think they are appropriate, but similar album categories have been deleted in the past. Why don't you bring it up at WT:Record charts and see if you can get people to go for it? If you can, it's easier for me to just add it into {{singlechart}}, where I could automatically do it for all supported charts.—Kww(talk) 20:24, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Hey Ya!

Hi Erick. I am starting on a new job, for my city goverment... again. But, I have been investigating for Camila. I will start with the Mario Domm article, I have been very interested on it. I will let you know when it is ready. Regards. Jaespinoza (talk) 03:11, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Re: Mi Plan

Hey Erick, sorry for not responding for like 3 weeks. How did you think you did on those exams? I went on an unexpected holiday travel, and yes, I need your help on Mi Plan if you're still not busy anyway. Garry says OK (talk) 09:07, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

It was fun, got out of the wintery midwest and went to Texas. It felt good with the warm weather and all. So what are you currently working on right now.. I think we'll get Mi Plan done before break is over. What all needs to be done for it to become GA status? I see that it has been recently reassessed and reached B-Class while I was gone, we're close? :D Garry says OK (talk) 19:17, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
OK, good. Yep, it was great aha...how's it down in ole Florida? I heard it's getting cold down there now? By the way, thanks for adding that part in about the Latin Pop album chart...I didn't catch that for some reason. So I'll follow these instructions and I'm sure we'll have another new latin music article in GA status. By the way, are you aware of a group called Bachata Heightz? I'm not sure how notable they are yet but they have an album called The First (like Aventura's The Last lol) that has reached 17 on the Tropical Albums chart but no singles that charted anywhere. Could this become and article or should we wait 'til there's something else from them? Garry says OK (talk) 22:43, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Wahhh! Forrealz, forrealz?? I can't find that on Billboard anywhere! So that makes them notable right? And yeah, Sunshine State my ... anyway, I almost forgot that I did work on Daddy Yankee's El Cartel: The Big Boss last month before I left and I may need some assistance on that if that can be done :D. Garry says OK (talk) 22:54, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Héctor Acosta doesn't have an article either. I think I might consider using some sandboxes and create those articles, jump in any time, they'll be on my homepage. And yes, El Cartel is next in line. Gariseiro (talk) 23:22, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Oh well damn, I didn't know he was previously in a band. OK, you do that and I'll just stay busy on the Mi Plan. Thank goodness though, it took me a whole 3 months to get Mi Plan where it is now lol. Gariseiro (talk) 23:55, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Yeah but I know what has to be done to the article. I feel I might has to rewrite the production section. It might take awhile though, I'm gonna be on and off for a bit here. Happy New years by the way. Gariseiro (talk) 16:42, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
That's good and really fast lol. I'm juggling ten different projects at a time and I figure I should focus on one. OK, cool. I'm not too busy so much right now and I'm not heading to college any time soon. Not until Fall anyway, so I'm gonna hold it down for ya while you're busy. You take care now man. Gariseiro (talk) 20:50, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm having trouble writing the "Chart performance" section. I'm not good at obtaining that info or writing about it (When it comes to album articles, that is) lol. That's my only problem. And thank you. I had to wait awhile before "Besame" reached number one. OK, where do I go to nominate an article for GA status? Gariseiro (talk) 11:44, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

DYK for Una Navidad con Gilberto

Materialscientist (talk) 12:02, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi Erick!.

Merry XMAS to U II (just like the new Mariah Carey album, which I love). The pleasure is all mine. Let's keep working on those Latin articles. BTW congrats on yout DYK for Gilberto. Cheers. Jaespinoza (talk) 17:37, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

I strongely recommend Jotdog by Jotdog, the Mexican extended edition... It is very refreshing pop. Jaespinoza (talk) 19:36, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
Thank you. Amar la Trama is a very good album and deserves a good article. I am already working on the Mario Domm article on my sandbox. Jaespinoza (talk) 20:17, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
I just finished this article, Mario Domm, what do you think? Jaespinoza (talk) 09:31, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Amar la Trama is currently a GA nominee. Thank you Erick!. Happy New Year. Jaespinoza (talk) 05:06, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
Let me check for references to expand the article, I will let you know which parts I am interested. Jaespinoza (talk) 19:49, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
It is a very good picture. Can we use it? Jaespinoza (talk) 03:26, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Why don't we get this one promoted? It's a perfect fit for the season. - Caribbean~H.Q. 21:06, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

Sales figures in different markets may be enough for a reception section. It's just a matter of looking around. We can get this project going by next week. In the meantime, enjoy your new year celebration. Regards, - Caribbean~H.Q. 22:49, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
I began writing a 'reception' section; will post it after running a grammar check. Now, do we have some source that could help create a 'production' section? - Caribbean~H.Q. 06:57, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Re:Latin Pop Year-End Chart

The lists are correct, it's great, but are you able to do it by year in diferent pages. Or you can make differents tables in the same page, do i make myself clear? Chepetoño (talk) 07:19, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Latin American music task force project

Hi! Thanks for your invitation to join to this project. Well, first of all, there's one thing that nobody cared about and I think it's important, too: a large number of Spanish album and song titles are incorrectly spelled. I've been correcting them all that I found, but always came somebody and undid my corrections without any explanation. Two kinds of errors I find usually:

  1. Accent marks are missing (they are very important in Spanish, because accent is distinguishing).
  2. All words of a title are written with initial upper case, that is incorrect in Spanish, since the Spanish Academy rule is that only the first word of any title goes with initial upper case (except proper names in titles, of course).

So, I think first we should elaborate a Wiki-Policy for the correct spelling of Spanish language album and song titles. What's your opinion about it? And of course, I join to the project with pleasure. I can write Spanish at a near native level, so I could be a big help in this. Regards, --El Mexicano (talk) 20:54, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

Sure, thank you. As I remember, once I put a text —in accordance with some other users who worked on the project— in the general music project page for this, and it was there for some time, but then it was removed. Maybe you'll be luckier. --El Mexicano (talk) 21:13, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

Right, thank you!--El Mexicano (talk) 21:25, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

Gracias! --El Mexicano (talk) 21:41, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

Re: Spanish-language albums and songs

Thanks for the heads up! Good to know. I was really just going off the source (for example, Allmusic has the album as "En Tus Manos", as does the album cover for that matter). I love collaborations, so I'd be happy to work with you on something soon. My hands are a bit full at the moment, but definitely keep me in mind and keep in touch. Any ideas for collaborations? --Another Believer (Talk) 04:48, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Let's do it! I've added Grammy Award for Best Traditional Tropical Latin Album to my watchlist and will work on it when I get the chance. I am assuming you've seen some of the other Grammy lists with FL status to use as templates/examples? --Another Believer (Talk) 04:53, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
Well, there are 15 or so Grammy lists on my profile that you can take a look at. Most of the contain the same formatting. It's really just setting up the table properly, putting the nominees in the Nominee column in ABC order, finding references to cite the nominees for each year, adding images, and making sure everything else looks correct. I recommend looking at some of the lists on my profile then incorporating the same features into the Tropical list. Just ask me if you have any questions--we will work on it together! :) --Another Believer (Talk) 04:57, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Left them as their current status "El Cartel: The Big Boss" is not enterily Spanish, "Desde un Principio: From the Beginning" maybe (and just maybe) "Desde un principio: From the Beginning"; and for ""En Vivo... Puro Party Live" -> "En vivo... Puro Party Live", or try taking it with WT:ALBUM. Tbhotch* ۩ ۞ 07:28, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Let me answer in Spanish, because I can express myself better in that language.

Good luck with Romances. Album articles can be difficult to get to FA status, as only the best of the best get promoted. I would strongly recommend getting a peer review first, then working towards Good article status before jumping right into FA status. A made a few edits--I hope you approve! --Another Believer (Talk) 05:59, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

RE:Album Caps

Oh. I can't read Spanish so I didn't know what it said. Sorry! --ĈÞЯİŒ 1ооо 18:42, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

100% Mexicano

You moved it to "100% mexicano". ¿Por que? The image of the album cover shows it capitalized. The average English-speaking reader would expect to see it capitalized. I don't see how changing it to lower case helps anybody. And now it looks pretty ugly, having the article title using different capitalization from the text of the article itself and from the article on Pepe Aquilar. Please reconsider. Chris the speller (talk) 05:51, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

"it's still not correct unless the artist had intentionally let it be spelled that way for a reason" - wow, you need an affidavit from the artist even though the evidence is right in front of you on the album itself? Something is loco here. WP:NAME states "Most articles will have a simple and obvious title that is better than any other in terms of most or all of these ideal criteria. If so, use it, as a straightforward choice." Once more, I don't see how changing it to lower case helps anybody, and you haven't answered that. It seems to me that the straightforward choice is being spurned by a small group bent on using Wikipedia to try to change the world. Once more, please reconsider. Chris the speller (talk) 15:36, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Page moves per ALBUMCAPS

Hello Magiciandude. If you insist on moving these pages per a Wikiproject guideline, then please ensure the whole page is left in a consistent manner. For instance, you move La Paga to La paga but did not correct the 11 other instances of La Paga, including probably the most important one, the one in the template. Please be sure to make all necessary corrections. Thanks. The Rambling Man (talk) 12:58, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

I see you've continued to move pages without correcting them. Please stop doing this. Continuing to do so will be considered disruptive. You're using a Wikiproject guideline to over-rule WP:COMMONNAME and it needs global discussion rather than just you doing it blindly without correcting the articles completely. You're making a mess of the Wikipedia. The Rambling Man (talk) 16:08, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
I've reverted those moves you've made since I asked you to take more care, (which you clearly haven't) but have just realised just how many pages you've moved. I think you need a discussion at WT:RM to ensure that what you're doing has the consensus of the whole community, not just the music wikiproject. Also I'd like to re-iterate that if you move pages then you 100% need to clear up the rest of the times that the article title is referred to in the article. You've left 11 instances of La Paga in the La paga article, for example. The Rambling Man (talk) 16:17, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
I've now opened a discussion on your edits here, and would be grateful for your input so it we can attempt to establish a consensus rather than rely on the ideas of a few guys at the music wikiproject. The Rambling Man (talk) 16:27, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for your note. As I said, I suggest you stop moving them for the moment, and get involved in the discussion about your edits. Those you have moved, either move back or change all references. I estimate you move well over 100 pages, so there's quite a bit of work to do. The Rambling Man (talk) 18:53, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

I answered on that page. I think it's a nonsense to apply English spelling rules for foreign language titles. It's logical that if a title is not in English, you will apply the rules of the language the title is in. Try to explain this to the others. --El Mexicano (talk) 19:27, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

And I remind you, this is English Wikipedia. And we need to use verifiable reliable sources for everything. So for the latest incident, 100 años de mariachi - the two sources supplied on that page, although both Allmusic, refer to it as "100 Años de Mariachi". So, under English Wikipedia guidelines, we should use the verifiable name. That's 100 Años de Mariachi, not the "Spanish Academy approved version" you claim to be correct. Wikipedia guidelines and policies trump your personal opinion. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:18, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, but first, this is not my personal opinion, and second, English Wikipedia is not an authority to establish spelling rules for FOREIGN languages. Doesn't matter anyhow titles are written in English sources or in the work itself, if something is incorrect, it will remain incorrect. --El Mexicano (talk) 11:54, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
No need to apologise and I can understand the confusion. Wikipedia uses "verifiability not truth", and nothing can be used to verify your versions of these album and single names besides your synthetic use of a set of academic rules. We have WP:NAME for these kind of discussions, it transpires that WP:ALBUMCAPS is actually incorrect. Using your argument, we probably shouldn't have an article called Spain, it should be Espana. Anyway, this is not the correct place to discuss this, I suggest you continue your argument at the relevant section of WT:ALBUMCAPS (the relevant section of WP:ALBUMCAPS has now been tagged as "factually inaccurate"). Thanks. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:39, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Magiciandude, do you plan on switching back the album titles you changed here and reverting the album pages that were moved? This diff shows the changes that were made to the list. --Another Believer (Talk) 22:48, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

I am truly sorry to hear that you are feeling down. Please don't. You had honest intentions. Contributing to Wikipedia is a learning experience, and we ALL make mistakes. Editors are certainly entitled to wikibreaks, but don't take one out of guilt--keep doing great work! Thank you for your communication and for the corrections. --Another Believer (Talk) 23:26, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
I understand. Don't get too stressed--it's not healthy, and Wikipedia is meant to be a fun, constructive hobby. I'd be happy to collaborate with you whenever you are ready. Just make the first edit and/or let me know and I will be right there behind you (to the best of my ability). Thanks again! --Another Believer (Talk) 23:31, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
I am glad to found that link! See? Nothing to be ashamed of. :) --Another Believer (Talk) 16:23, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

I agree with Another Believer, don't feel downhearted about this, and as AB says, we have all made mistakes. All the best to you, and try to enjoy Wikipedia! The Rambling Man (talk) 08:24, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Translations

Hi! To be honest, I would help translating those articles with pleasure if I had more time, but unfortunately I just have it for minor editions and corrections. :( Anyway, one of my favorite artists, Thalía is a featured article in my native language, I guess you have seen it already (it was my first featured article in Hungarian Wikipedia), and I'm very prood of it. :) (Long ago I contributed much more in her articles in English and Spanish, but they became always a victim of vandalism and spam of false informations, that's why I didn't feel like editing them any more.) --El Mexicano (talk) 08:22, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Yes of course. --El Mexicano (talk) 17:56, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Hi Erick!

Well let's see.. we have a lot of issues to resolve. First of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH for my b'day post, it is so funny... I will post it on my Facebook profile. Here is my opinion about other issues:

  • Album titles. I read all the on-going conversations about the changes you made on almost all my work here. Personally, I think they look really, really bad, and since this is English wikipedia I have always tried to be correct with the rules here. I do not mean to be rude or something like that, it is just my opinion. I will not change them, since I do not have a lot of time to do it, I will be creating new articles, like I always do.
  • Romances: I read the article and I am very pleased to see the changes you have made, I am eager to jump on it with further information. Since I am almost finishing 1991 in the Hot Latin Tracks lists, I will work on the singles from Romance ("Inolvidable" and "No Se Tu"). From Romances I will be working on "Por Debajo de la Mesa", since it is the main single and only number-one hit. I hope that with all the references that I will be searching we can improve the article. Actually, I have like 5 full-length albums on my iPod by Luis Miguel, including Romances.
  • Dejarte de Amar: Do yo know that it was the best-selling album of the year in Mexico? We can expand the article with this info. I remember when you told me about your opinion about the album and that you thought that it deserved the Latin Grammy for Album of the Year and I never replied. I think it is a good album, way better than the first one, Todo Cambio, but my absolute favorite for Album of the Year was Y. by Bebe, a bold, ingenious, and sexy album. I truly recommend it.
  • Latin Grammy lists: I am working on those lists... little by little... since I have to expand them a lot! If I need any help I will be sure to ask you.

Ufff... this is a lot of information, please let me know what you think. Big hugs and best regards from Tijuana. Jaespinoza (talk) 05:11, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

I have not seen you FB invitation, after we connect on FB we can delete my email address. Jaespinoza (talk) 06:22, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Done! Nice to meet you. Jaespinoza (talk) 06:30, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Latin Grammy Award for Producer of the Year

Hi Erick. I think that your concerns on the nomination for Latin Grammy Award for Producer of the Year had been answered. Would you be kind enough to review it again? Thank you. Jaespinoza (talk) 01:19, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

PR: Amor Prohibido

I've looked at the list but no one seems to fit this category. AJona1992 (talk) 20:10, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Re: Bachata

So far, besides Prince Royce, I've heard Aventura, Juan Luis Guerra and Antony Santos and enjoyed their music. Do you need help with something? I hope I can be of assistance. Gariseiro (talk) 06:14, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Yes, we should collab on those. They really do need articles. And OK cool, what artists do you have in recommendation for me? I'll be happy to oblige lol. Let's get started. Gariseiro (talk) 18:30, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
Well I've noticed that Hector Acosta has had several charting songs so I think we should begin on an article for him. He's more than notable. Let's do this lol. By the way, I just now re-did Corazón Sin Cara from one of my sandboxes. I went and listened to all of those suggested songs by the way. I can probably say that bachata is probably one of my more favorite of the Latin genres. Especially the urban flavored songs. Gariseiro (talk) 11:23, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
Thank you, I'll be sure and nominate it for GA review then. And thank you for cleaning them up. I just wanted to get the article filled up with the new information and forgot about fixing the citations. Growing, I've heard mostly Mexican music, like mariachi and cumbia when my family played at party and whatnot. But I grew up with an ear for hip-hop and RnB and every other type of black music. I actually discovered bachata in my junior year back in 2007 when I heard Aventura for the first time. Good times, good times lol OK, so how and what do we start on for the Hector Acosta article? Do you want to start it then we both make additions to the article? This will be my first collaboration, since I usually work on full articles alone. This will make things much faster though. Gariseiro (talk) 04:35, 10 March 2011 (UTC)

Haha, about time Royce collaborated with someone. This is an interesting collaboration. Daddy Yankee is going to work, ain't he? He has consistently released albums since 2007. That man is a monster. So, how are your projects going? Gariseiro (talk) 22:59, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Lmao, yeah, that just occurred to me as well. Consider this a collaboration. However, I may be busier the next few weeks but I'll try and come edit when I can. But we can kick it into high gear when I get back. I'm thinking we should work on The Last, since that seems to have had greater success in the past 2 years and it needs the attention. As far as a reggaeton album article, we'll work on your choice. I'm down. Gariseiro (talk) 22:17, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
Well I listen to mostly all of the Latin genres but I do really like salsa. I started listening to it heavily when I first heard Yo No Se Manana. Also, I'm ready to get started on this collaboration. Anytime you are :) Gariseiro (talk) 08:21, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

categorizing Disco De Oro/Platino

Hi there. I changed the autocat a bit so it now categorizes the Latin Gold/Platinum awards from RIAA on separate categories. I hope this was what you saw as a problem this. What do you think? --Muhandes (talk) 21:42, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

Oh yes that would be great! I was just about to ask that question myself. Magiciandude (talk) 23:10, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
Great. The categories are Category:Albums certified Disco De Oro by the Recording Industry Association of America and Category:Albums certified Disco De Platino by the Recording Industry Association of America, you can also add manually of course. I'll add the multi platino when I find an album that won it. --Muhandes (talk) 23:33, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
Will this help? EDIT: Found one with a "Doble Platino". Talento de Barrio (soundtrack) Magiciandude (talk) 23:40, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, found another Amore (Andrea Bocelli album). I'm going to add the rest of the categories, found quite a few in the database. --Muhandes (talk) 10:41, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

I see you were adding certifications for Mis Romances. I'll help by adding certifications for other Luis Miguel albums as well as other albums by Latin American musicians. Magiciandude (talk) 08:54, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

You are doing a great job. I hope you don't mind me stalking you and amending some. --Muhandes (talk) 10:15, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
No, not at all. In fact, I was going to tell you when I'm finished so you could check it out. Magiciandude (talk) 10:16, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Well I'm done with the articles relating to Luis Miguel. Next time around, I'll be doing other Spanish artists. Thanks for the help! Magiciandude (talk) 10:26, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Leave me a note at my talk page when you finish doing another series, I'll be happy to go over them. --Muhandes (talk) 10:30, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Can you take a look at MTV Unplugged (Ricky Martin album)? The Mexican certification seems different than usual. Magiciandude (talk) 14:51, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
Yes, this was bound to happen, I just didn't have an example before. Fortunately I already made preparations so it was easy to solve. By the way, if you notice categories which I did not create yet (red categories) you can either create them or let me know and I'll do that. --Muhandes (talk) 15:20, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
I noticed the album was certified separately as a digital download and as a physical album. I think it's worth noting in the table when this occurs (so others might think otherwise). --Muhandes (talk) 15:27, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Alright thanks, that makes perfect sense now. I'll be sure to do that as I'm still adding cert tables to albums that reached number-one on the Billboard Latin albums. Magiciandude (talk) 15:29, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

You might be interested in this note. Apparantly RIAA redid the older certifications in 2008 rather than use the new numbers only for new releases. --Muhandes (talk) 15:50, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Well, I did notice some album released before 2008 but were not certified until after it so I put "relyear=" whatever the year it was certified instead. So if I'm reading this right, Latin albums certified before 2008 were also changed to the current ones? Is that what he was saying? Magiciandude (talk) 15:55, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
That's how I understand the source. For now that's what the template will do (in practice, ignoring the relyear) until I hear otherwise. --Muhandes (talk) 18:29, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

I've finished added cert tables for the number-one Billboard Latin albums. Magiciandude (talk) 17:43, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

I'll go over them quickly later tonight if I find the time. --Muhandes (talk) 18:29, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
I went over them and corrected a minority. As or this issue, Harout72 claims the certification goes by certyear. He usually knows what he is doing so I'll have to go over all those certifications and add the certyear. I'm also going to change the table slightly, so the RIAA Latin award will say so in the table itself, not only the category created. Best regards.--Muhandes (talk) 10:49, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
Yeah I was thinking a cert year would be more appropriate. Especially for albums that were before the Latin certifications began. Other than that, I was glad I was able to help out create categories and put the cert table into good use for alot of albums. Magiciandude (talk) 04:54, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

I'm having problems with the US Latin charts. I'm not getting any sales return whether I put in relyear or certyear. I've been them to the Latin Grammy albums. Magiciandude (talk) 13:08, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Can you be more specific? There is a category for all tables with no sales figure and the category seems to be empty at the moment. --Muhandes (talk) 07:04, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
I fixed it. I didn't know I was supposed to include cert year. I was including the cert table Latin Grammy Award winning albums. Magiciandude (talk) 14:06, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

I've found another certification for Spanish albums prior to being recognized by the RIAA. Apparently, certifications for Spanish-language have going on the Hispanic market in the United States and in Puerto Rico with the same required shipments as the RIAA for Disco de Oro/Platino before 2008. Here is the source. What do you think? Magiciandude (talk) 21:38, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

Tropical songs/ Regional Mexican

I modified WP:USCHARTS. I'll go ahead and add categories to singlechart. That may take a week or two.—Kww(talk) 15:17, 29 March 2011 (UTC)

oops

oops, I didn't notice you just moved Soy como quiero ser the other way around. I'm not really certain how it should be, care to explain to me or point me the right direction so I wont make any mistakes? --Muhandes (talk) 08:58, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Well here's the thing. When I first moved it to lowercase, it was based on a guideline that no longer exists for foreign-language albums. I simply moved back as I was reverting whatever moves I did prior to the guideline being removed. BTW, I'm helping out putting out certifications for albums by the artist and any other Latin American musicians that gained these certifications. Magiciandude (talk) 09:01, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
I believe this is not only an album guideline, it is for all foreign language material in Wikipedia. Any idea when it was removed? Where's the discussion? --Muhandes (talk) 09:04, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Right here. Magiciandude (talk) 09:07, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll stop moving them too. --Muhandes (talk) 09:09, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Canadian and Spanish certifications

Hi there. Both Canadian and Spanish certifications can be made more accurate.

I hope this helps. --Muhandes (talk) 20:11, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Thank you! I was wondering where one could the archives for the Spanish charts. After the copyedit request is complete on Romances, I'd like to talk about the article. See even though I found the diamond award for Argentina from the CAPIF site itself, I found two sources that states that the album got 11x Platinum which is more than a diamond and not listed on the site and there's the other certifications from other Latin America countries where I'm not familiar with. I've listed two column support for now because I do not know what to do. Magiciandude (talk) 20:41, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Argentinian certifications are quite troublesome. First, like you noticed, the site will not list anything above Diamond. If you have a reliable source for more than Diamond, I say go for it. Second, the website seem to have lost some certifications. See the old list and compare with the new list, and note for example Julio Sosa's El album de oro. But even the new website on itself has oddities. If you don't limit the time period you get the new list, but add a limit for Dic 2001, and you get this list. Suddenly Chayanne's Atado a tu amor has Diamond! Bottom line, my advise is that if you have any reliable source for a certification in Argentina, use it, and unlike RIAA or BPI, don't treat the official website as the holy book.
As for the other countries, since I don't have a database for any of them, nor was there any request for it, I didn't bother. If you can find an official database let me know and I'll work it into the templates.--Muhandes (talk) 22:38, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
With the exception of Bolivia and Central America, the sales are on the link to the music sales. But I don't know if those numbers would work in the article since standards tend to change over years. I think I'll try putting numbers from countries that have a database and leave out the ones that don't. If it doesn't work out, I'll just simply put everything on 2-column. Magiciandude (talk) 22:45, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Re

Okay. Thank you. Jivesh Talk2Me 16:59, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

Please

Try to not do this, it will only make the article was never re-assessed. Instead request an assessment to WP:ALBUMA or directly to me. Tbhotch* ۩ ۞ 07:56, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Don't worry, that's my second work here. Tbhotch* ۩ ۞ 04:06, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Yes, they are correctly tagged (altough all of them have twice their license. But something important, remember that saples are for critical commentary off the article not for decorative purposes, see "Jump" as an example, and summaries like "21 second sample. are not helpful. I recommend you to use a proper summary about their composition/critical analysis. Tbhotch* ۩ ۞ 01:10, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

The summaries in I Want You are good enough to keep them in the article. For the double license, it would be caused if you are copyng a page and pasting it while you're uploading those files. Tbhotch* ۩ ۞ 02:15, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Hey I just re-worked this article, similar to Amor Prohibido (song), and was wondering (if your still reviewing articles), can you be the good article reviewer for it? Thanks, AJona1992 (talk) 01:12, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Interesting that you ask...

Hi.

You have a really good timing i was just about to embark in creating the articles for Panteón Rococó`s albums. I`ll put the template in the articles i created, i would truly appreciate if someone could assess them according to the task force guidelines.

Glad to join. Zidane tribal (talk) 01:38, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Re: Salsa!

Hahaha I mention salsa and you come back with all of that lol. The rant is just fine. I see that you are in love with salsa now lol. Well I really like salsa myself. Even though I cannot dance, I find myself getting up to the sound of salsa. It's a really captivating genre. Take a camera to the Rumba Fest :D And yes, we shall do a salsa-related article collaboration as well. You may choose which article we collaborate on this time. I'm going to check out them albums by Marc Anthony and La India. Thanks for the references. And right now, I think I'll begin creating articles for Latin songs that are very notable as well. Is there anything you might need help on right now? Also, rant to me anytime, it is welcomed. I'm just as social lol. Gariseiro (talk) 16:32, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, I was about to ask for a sample of "Corazon Sin Cara" but I've seen that you've already done it. Good going man, do you by chance, know how to write a "Composition" section? I'm not really sure what is needed for that for that subject. Also, do you think you can make a sample for "Manos al Aire"? Thanks man, and yes, I'm ready to work on Todo a su Tiempo right now :D Gariseiro (talk) 02:39, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Sorry for the late preply, my internet has been acting funny but it's all good now. O snaps, my hands are up! lol. OK, let's get busy on this. And thanks for the reference, that helps me work much better on song articles. OK, let's go! :D Gariseiro (talk) 08:34, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Salsa albums

Hi Erick. I am aware that you will be working on the list for Latin Grammy Award for Best Salsa Album and I wanted to tell you that I found very good references for La Negra Tiene Tumbao by Celia Cruz, while writing the article for Fernando Osorio, you should check it out. Cheers. Jaespinoza (talk) 05:29, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

Of course I will check it out, let me know when is ready. Jaespinoza (talk) 17:07, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

Re: Next Album

OK, we could work on The Last. And sorry about the slacking on replying and whatnot. I guess I was going to be busy and did smaller things here and there. Well I'm free for the remainder of the week and probably next week as well. And thanks for catching some of my mistakes. I completely forgot about adding the categories when I added the Prince Royce album info from my sandbox lol. But I'm ready to go hard on the next collaboration lol. By the way, you did a rather swift and great job on the Marc Anthony album. So much info so quickly, great job man. Gariseiro (talk) 05:50, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

Yes, creating a sandbox for it sounds like a plan. And yes, I learned everything from you, on how to write album articles, actually. OK, well we should get started. The Last is going to be quite a big article, considering what it has accomplished lol. Gariseiro (talk) 06:03, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
OK, well I just created a sandbox for the article so we can get busy on it right now. And OK, I've been real careful about the type of charts I've been adding. Here be the link right here. Let's do this lol. Gariseiro (talk) 06:19, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
Lol. Let's see how much we can get done in an hour. Not that I have a time limit or anything. I just want to see what we could get done within an hour on such a potentially large album article lol. Gariseiro (talk) 06:26, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

I've had the physical album? But I cannot find it. I have this large collection of CD albums. I will try to find the liner notes, otherwise I will go get one. I love that album anyway, so I might want to get it again. Well I'll get the release dates and charts out of the way and write some of what I can write in the lead section. I can do the critical reception. I'll be busy on that for nao. Gariseiro (talk) 06:37, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

Lmao, yeah. I'm into CD collections. So that when I'm older, I can pull 'em out and show my grandkids lol. Just like my grandparents did with their records lol. OK, I'll stay busy on this. Gariseiro (talk) 06:45, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
Well I'm still working on what I can get done right now. But we can continue tomorrow. That's good with me. Just whatever is convenient for you. Gariseiro (talk) 07:36, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
Alrighty, well I'll be working on it still. Because I got all night. I sleep in the day lol. And this is what I do to occupy my time till I have work in the morning lol. But I don't work tomorrow/today anyway lol. Gariseiro (talk) 07:40, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
Alright, got the memo. It's currently 2:44 here in Iowa. I am an owl, basically lol. Gariseiro (talk) 07:45, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
LMAO. That was a hilarious response. Yeah, I've been there once, but never lived there. I plan to move there by next summer hopefully. Gariseiro (talk) 07:56, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

Re:Todo a su Tiempo (Marc Anthony album)

I love it, it is a great article. You are a great and talented writer. Keep up the good work. Tony the Marine (talk) 04:40, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
