A tag has been placed on Legal status of Junagadh State requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from {{{value1}}}. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 00:48, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Legal status of Junagadh State[edit]

You wrote: "There is no copyright issue here because the information used is public domain and the specific text is open for anyone to copy or repeat." That is wrong: Public domain is a technical term in copyright law, and just being published does not put a text into the public domain. In fact the source page is marked "Copyrights © 2001 The Hindu", but even if there was no copyright notice anything published must be assumed to be under copyright unless it is explicitly stated to have been released to the public domain, or under a license compatible with Wikipedia's CC-BY-SA. In contributing to Wikipedia, you need to write in your own words. Please read WP:Copying text from other sources. JohnCD (talk) 12:28, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Greater Kashmir (political concept)[edit]

Hi, I'm Jbhunley. Mr Patriotic, thanks for creating Greater Kashmir (political concept)!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please consider returning to the article to address this issue.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. JbhTalk 16:09, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects[edit]

In general, a redirect to an article should be created only if it is a term under which someone is likely to search when looking for information contained in the target article. Please don't create redirects which don't satisfy that criterion. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 16:29, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright[edit]

I have traced various pieces of content of the article Etymology of Bangladesh to web pages which have been in existence since 2010. For copyright reasons, it is rarely acceptable to post content to Wikipedia copied from elsewhere, and never acceptable to do so without stating where it is copied from. If the content is licensed for free reuse in accordance with Wikipedia's licensing terms, then it is essential to provide evidence of the fact, and if not then it must not be reused on Wikipedia. For that reason, the article has been deleted. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 16:42, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning that I intend to give you. The next time you edit disruptively, you may be blocked from editing without further notice, whether or not the exact nature of the particular disruptive editing has been covered by one or more of the warning messages you have received.. In addition to the issues which have been drawn to your attention already, it is clear that much of your editing is an attempt to use Wikipedia to publicise a political or nationalist point of view, as for example when you created a point-of-view fork of an existing article at Etymology of India. Wikipedia is not a medium for campaigning. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 17:39, 17 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
