Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lox, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chubs (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A tag has been placed on File:Jerry Bresler 1955 Orchestra Leader.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Just want to send you some congratulations as it appears another editor has moved your AFC submission to the article namespace. You can find it and improve it at Cynthia Carlson now. Good work on your first article! Kind regards, Mz7 (talk) 21:21, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Cynthia Carlson's birthday

[edit]

I removed her birthday from her article. I agree with User:Mz7 that it is not a good idea to have birthdays of living people. In Carlson's case her birthday doesn't seem to be widely available, so I took it out. Thank you for writing the article. StarryGrandma (talk) 19:27, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

User page and user talk page

[edit]

Hello Mursimon,

Your user page is for you to describe your interests and accomplishments as a Wikipedia editor. Your user talk page (this page) is for conversations with other editors, such as this one. Mike Rosoft deleted an earlier version of your user page because it was actually an article draft which had already been created as a main space article. Users wanting to learn more about you should not have to encounter an obsolete article draft instead.

Articles can be drafted in a user sandbox page, or in the draft namespace. It is unlikely that anyone will object to good faith drafts in sandbox pages. I made a similar mistake when I first started editing, so don't feel bad.

Another suggestion is to try to avoid as coming across as irritated when you run across a problem. Please be aware that we are all volunteers here, not all of us are as experienced as others, and things work best when we are polite to each other. If someone asks you a question, just answer it, and try not to give them a hard time. Thank you very much. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 01:38, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Accidental blanking of a page moved from user space

[edit]

You just need to make sure that you are editing the right page; at the top of the page you can see the full page title. You seem to have accidentally followed a redirect. In that case, you can see text like "Redirected from title" under the page title; by following the link, you'll return to the redirect which you can edit.

When you posted this message on my talk page, I didn't really know what help you needed. You asked for help with emptying your sandbox, but I didn't see any edits to your user space except an abandoned draft at User:Mursimon/User.mursimon/modify01 Cynthia. Only now did I find out that somebody moved your sandbox to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Cynthia Carlson and subsequently to article space at Cynthia Carlson. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 05:35, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Chocolate phosphate requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. —MRD2014 (talkcontribs) 02:20, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
