October 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Nate Brown—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 19:25, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Writing about yourself is strongly discouraged by Wikipedia's guidelines on autobiographies and conflict of interest. You should look at the guideline on autobiographies, if not both guidelines, before doing any more editing.
  2. It looks to me very unlikely that you satisfy Wikipedia's notability guidelines. If you don't, no article about you will be acceptable, no matter how it may be written, so any work put into writing it is likely to be wasted.
  3. Stick to one account, unless you have very good reasons for doing otherwise, and if you do have such good reasons the you must explain what those reasons are, and state exactly what accounts you have used. Moving from one account to another, and from accounts to editing without using an account, is likely to cause confusion, as editors may find it difficult to keep track of what you are doing. Information icon Hello, I'm Jeff G.. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Nate Brown have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ 23:02, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Natebrown0782, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Blocked for sockpuppetry[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Natebrown0782. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Girth Summit (blether) 13:06, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
