Appreciation for your talk page edit
Thank you NSD (I'll call you that for short). It's nice to see someone who can actually see sense. It seems to me that admin are like a pack of wolves who stick together no matter what, therefore it's nice to see a regular user support another because some of their arguments are irrelevant to rollback rights. Jimmie Johnson
Hey if your not a NASCAR car fan then your excused, but if you are then you should know that Super-Man is Jimmie Johnson's nickname gave to him by Mark Martin after winning the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Now,in 2010 everyone in the garage calls him this so this is not vandalism.Nascar1996 (talk) 01:39, 12 February 2010 (UTC)nascar1996Nascar1996 (talk) 01:39, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

Yea,when ever you hear from Mark Martin after a race when he is interviewed when Jimmie Johnson is good then he will say "Well he's Super-Man."Thank You for your concern though.Wikipedia need people to make sure people are doing stuff right, and I am not a person to do vandalism most definately not to my favorite NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Jimmie Johnson! You sure do love Wikipedia dont you.Nascar1996 (talk) 04:57, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

How do you all figure that stuff out?I would like to add images but I dont understand the permissin section.Nascar1996 (talk) 23:31, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Yea thats pretty bad ,but what I done was pretty bad too.ohh well i didnt understand the permission stuff then and the last of my nascar images have all been deleted.Nascar1996 (talk) 23:34, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. You can't just upload images directly from a website and claim it as your own work. That violates US copyright law. The pictures you took of the place you live are actually your own work, right? I hope you didn't take those off of a website. NerdyScienceDude :) (✉ click to talk • my edits • sign) 23:38, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Yes LOL there is not a website that it can come from or I dont believe there is if there is and they said it came from a website that would be a lie be cause thats my view out of my bedroom.Nascar1996 (talk) 23:46, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- No problem, then. NerdyScienceDude :) (✉ click to talk • my edits • sign) 23:49, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Yep.Which those pictures that you was sorry for I do know where that at I have been there before but it was before they put those cars there.I am gonna upload a image of his 2007 championship car that i took when i was in there team shop. You may be able to see my dad lol you are sayin your offline you know right.Nascar1996 (talk) 23:54, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry about my status ;) So you have NASCAR pictures that you took yourself with your own camera. Those aren't copyright violations. You can even upload those directly to Commons. All you have to do is log on Commons as Nascar1996 and you're good to go. NerdyScienceDude :) (✉ click to talk • my edits • sign) 23:58, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Yea heres one-File:JeffandJimmie.jpg.Nascar1996 (talk) 00:02, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
There is a guy on commons that if I upload something he will delete it because when I say it is mine and it really is he dont believe it so he deletes them.Nascar1996 (talk) 00:13, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
- I could move the image to Commons for you, if you like. I am trusted on Commons. NerdyScienceDude :) (✉ click to talk • my edits • sign) 00:15, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
No,I like it better on Wikipedia. Thanks anyways the person is Martin H.,I am trying to get my trust back because that what an all a student would do.Nascar1996 (talk) 00:22, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
iPhone OS version history Image Caption
I added a different caption under the image on the iPhone OS version history page. Not sure if it was necessary, but did per Terrillja's complaints. Feel free to change or revert if you feel it was OK the previous way. Pardthemonster (talk) 03:09, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- I was about to undo Terrillja's edit when it appeared on my watchlist. I undid the edit to the image description page that removed the fair-use rationale. Looks good for now. NerdyScienceDude :) (✉ click to talk • my edits • sign) 03:12, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- The problem is that it is not the subject of critical commentary as required by WP:FAIRUSE. Saying "Look, now they have a compass app" is not critical commentary and the image does not enhance the reader's understanding of the different versions of the operating system. Your reasoning is pretty much inline with WP:NFC#UUI #7. Just because it's of the OS does not make it right.--Terrillja talk 03:23, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- I'd appreciate it if you would respond to this. If I don't get any response here, I will take that as your tacit agreement that the image is not in line with fair use policies and remove it from the article.--Terrillja talk 14:45, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- The image is fine there, as it shows what's new, as well as showing the iPhone OS. I would like Pardthemonster's opinion on this as well. NerdyScienceDude :) (✉ click to talk • my edits • sign) 21:26, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
RE Possibly unfree File:Mount view high knight.JPG
I will not lie to you and that picture is off of my agenda book that they gave us at the beginning of the school year and I took that picture with my moms camera so the photo is completely free right. If I took it then its a free image and I dont really care if somebody wants to copy it i just took it then uploaded onto my computer then on Wikipedia to help my schools article, and there noto that much more that you can put on Mount View High School.Nascar1996 (talk) 22:43, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- The image is of a copyrighted logo, so a fair-use rationale is required. NerdyScienceDude :) (✉ click to talk • my edits • sign) 23:05, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
It is not a logo our real logo is a knight on a horse but the school decided to put that on our agenda books.Nascar1996 (talk) 01:38, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- Even though it may not be the official logo, it's still a logo, which is copyrighted. It will get deleted if a fair-use rationale isn't provided. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. NerdyScienceDude :) (✉ click to talk • my edits • sign) 01:43, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
It is not and I would no it is a picture by me it is not a logo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Nascar1996 (talk) 02:41, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- Is it better now?Nascar1996 (talk) 02:45, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- You're half-way there. All you need now is a fair-use rationale, and the image will then be good for your article. NerdyScienceDude :) (✉ click to talk • my edits • sign) 13:54, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
what is that, and why did your tagg those photos for deletion I did take those pictures and I know where ok when your in Charlotte NC when you turn off at the sign for Hendrick motorsports you stay on that road the those pictures I took on those big circular thing that has a checker flag them on it and that right infront of the teams store where I bought one of my diecast cars.So they do not need to be deleted. And now wonder why no one wants to edit Wikipedia and make it better because once you do everyone else deletes it.Now i am thinking about giving it up because the rules are too strict. This is not vandalism this is a strong arguement.Thank You.Nascar1996 (talk) 20:15, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

iPhone image
What's the concern with the iPhone image? Pardthemonster (talk) 01:03, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- The screen elements are copyrighted by Apple. So I darkened the screen so it doesn't scream out copyright infringement. NerdyScienceDude :) (✉ click to talk • my edits • sign) 01:32, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- I photoshopped the one on the left to the one I took on the right for better screen clarity. See IPhone_OS_version_history and IPhone_OS for the one on the left. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pardthemonster (talk • contribs) 22:52, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
- Any reason that we can't have the screen image superimposed on the phone image taken? How can the image exist on the left if the one on the right can't exist? Pardthemonster (talk) 02:20, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
- The image with the screen elements is a deriative work since the screen elements are copyrighted by Apple. commons:COM:DM wouldn't apply to this image because the screen would be used to identify the phone. Hope this helps. NerdyScienceDude :) (✉ click to talk • my edits • sign) 04:35, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Why?...
Why are you reporting usernames to UAA that are almost 4 years old? Those are not an immediate threat, and in fact usernames that old aren't even supposed to be reported to UAA if they haven't made any recent contributions. The Thing // Talk // Contribs 05:46, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
