Thanks for your contributions to Asian Science Camp 2015. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Do not move this again into the main article space, or it will almost certainly be deleted. There is no indication that the subject is notable, and the referencing is very weak, to put it mildly. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:31, 26 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Nootsara th. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Asian Science Camp 2015, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Nootsara th! Your additions to Faculty of Science, Mahidol University have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 20:20, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Diannaa, Thank you for review waiting.Part of the article is taken from the website science.mahidol.ac.th . which can be used correctly. Nootsara th (talk) 03:25, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The webpage where I found the marching content (https://science.mahidol.ac.th/aboutsc2015.php) is released under a Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 International license, which is not a compatible license, because it does not allow commercial use or derivative works, and our license allows both those things. — Diannaa (talk) 12:33, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Draft:Asian Science Camp 2015, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Nootsara th, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Nootsara th|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:04, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I receive no direct or indirect compensation for editing my articles.
I will endeavor to strictly comply with the mandatory provisions of Wikimedia's Terms of Use. Thank you very much for the advice. I will try to improve this article even further. Nootsara th (talk) 16:32, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thank you for letting us know you are not paid.
So what is your relationship with this subject? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:40, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I, as a scientific person I would like to join in supporting and promoting a very good activity for students and science personnel. Asian Science Camp is an ASEAN conference. That provides an opportunity to meet, exchange, and receive world-class scientific ideas as Noble Prize winners in various fields who will meet. It's a very rare opportunity to have good activities like this.I think wikipedia is a great place to educate about such great activities. and provide opportunities for participation in future activities Can use knowledge to develop research work.Thank you and sincerely hope that You will understand this great purpose as well. Nootsara th (talk) 08:19, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
With respect, I didn't ask what the Asian Science Camp is. I asked what is your relationship with this subject. You have not answered that question.
Besides that, Wikipedia is not the place to tell the world about your event. We only summarise what other, independent and reliable secondary sources have previously said about a subject. This article cites precisely zero such sources. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:22, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am a member of this working group. and is an employee of the Faculty of Science universities in Thailand Nootsara th (talk) 09:04, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, as you are directly involved in this activity, you have a conflict of interest (COI), which must be formally disclosed, as required by Wikipedia's terms & conditions. You almost certainly come under our paid-editing rules, which is a specific type of COI, as well as the generic COI rules. I have posted messages here about both types, with instructions on how to disclose the COI and how to manage the situation. Please make the necessary disclosure now.
Because of your COI, you were actually not allowed to publish the article directly, but that is now moot, as you insisted on doing that repeatedly and the article is now subject to a deletion discussion. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:55, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not delete this article yet. I'm trying my hardest. COI rules will be followed. Nootsara th (talk) 10:13, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft Asian Science Camp 2015[edit]

Hello, Nootsara th,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Justiyaya and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Draft Asian Science Camp 2015, for deletion, because a consensus decision previously decided that it wasn't suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. If you wish to restore a page deleted via a deletion discussion, please use the deletion review process instead, rather than reposting the content of the page.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Justiyaya}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Article: Asian Science Camp is an ASEAN science conference. Provide opportunities for scientific personnel to exchange ideas and scientific knowledge on a global level. There will be Noble Prize winners in various fields giving lectures, which is considered a very rare opportunity in Asia. Scientific personnel can use this information to help strengthen their research ideas and opportunities. I think that if there were an article with Asian Science Camp information on Wikipedia, it might be able to present ideas and knowledge related to this meeting in order to be used as a guideline for developing one's own research even more. Hopefully you will understand its great purpose. and provide opportunities for academics, students, and personnel in science as well. Nootsara th (talk) 09:03, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The article was deleted because there were no sources that both address the subject in detail and are independent of the event's organizers and attendees. Significant coverage in independent reliable sources is necessary for a subject to be considered notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia, and the deletion discussion clearly concluded that this is not the case for the 2015 science camp.
Attempting to recreate the same page without addressing the underlying issues, as you have done, is considered disruptive editing and can lead to you being blocked from editing. Consider this a final warning; please review all the messages that have been left for you on this page.
Additionally, while it has been determined that the 2015 camp is not notable, there is a broader-scope article on Asian Science Camp that could be expanded. However, in light of your conflict of interest, you should not edit the page directly, but rather suggest changes on the article's talk page by making an edit request.
