Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Murray sherwin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. A tag has been placed on Murray sherwin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

--SkyGazer 512 Oh no, what did I do this time? 22:43, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Nzprodcom. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page New Zealand Productivity Commission, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Julietdeltalima (talk) 22:46, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

May 2018[edit]

This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Explaining what happened[edit]

Okay, I know this is kind of confusing - so I'm going to explain thoroughly what's going on, for both you and other editors. You had created the page Murray sherwin with very little content, so Lemonpasta tagged it for speedy deletion per WP:CSD#A3. Then, you added content to it, removing the speedy deletion template, but it was a copyright vio of https://www.productivity.govt.nz/about-us/our-team-0, so I removed it. Then, I would've tagged it for speedy deletion for WP:CSD#A7, but after doing a google search, it did seem like the topic could possibly be notable - but definitely shouldn't currently be in the main namespace. So, I moved it to the draft namespace so that you or other editors can work on it further. However, you kept adding content to Murray sherwin that was the same copyright vio, so I tagged it for deletion per WP:CSD#G12. The best thing to do now is to let the article be deleted, and if you must work on the article more, do so in Draft:Murray sherwin. However, now that I realize that the only reason you created the page is for advertisement and promotion, I realize that I should have tagged the article for WP:CSD#G11 rather than move it to draft space - I was just trying to give the article a chance.--SkyGazer 512 Oh no, what did I do this time? 22:56, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I concur with SkyGazer 512's moral decision based on the articles current status. Lemonpasta (talk) 23:02, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright and conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your interest in creating an article for Murray sherwin on Wikipedia. There are multiple problems with your submission. You cannot post copyrighted material on Wikipedia even if you are the copyright holder, unless special licensing permissions are in place. In short, a copyright owner cannot offer Wikipedia a one-time license for use. Rather, the copyright to the material has to be released – permanently and irrevocably – into the public domain or under a free copyright license that is compatible with Wikipedia's licenses. This is because Wikipedia aims to be freely distributable and copyable by anyone, so all content must be licensed for that purpose. You can learn more about this policy at Wikipedia:Copyrights.

The second problem is conflict of interest. Writing an article about your own organization or persons involved with it is strongly discouraged, as it is difficult to maintain the required neutral point of view.

If you'd like to use the copyrighted content in an article, you can follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission on how to obtain the proper licensing. If you are the copyright holder, refer to Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for how to grant us permission to use your content. Alternatively, you could write a new article that does not closely paraphrase the material available online. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. However you would then still have to abide by the conflict of interest guideline. In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

I'm sorry this message could not be more favourable. If you have any questions, you can leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 04:50, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

May 2018[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. Thank you. Longhair\talk 06:49, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Murray Sherwin.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

EXIF on photo shows "©Stephen A'Court Photography" for copyright. Uploader's assertion of being the copyright holder would need OTRS confirmation.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 142.55.249.5 (talk) 14:02, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
