A tag has been placed on Draft:Owenadphillips, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello Owen0706. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Owen0706. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Owen0706|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. David Gerard (talk) 15:02, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

there is no payment given for this article, this has been written freely and i am quite offended that you think that, the reason i am stating this is that thia is for a notable person an actor and all facts are correct, this is not for profit and i am unsure why you are saying it is, this has taken considerable amount of time and learning to put this together and this is the first time i have ever used WIKi and i am still learning, there is more hoops to jump through, which has been quite the challenge that i have ever come across in the entirety of my life. if you would like to call me to discuss this please ask for my number and i will happily provide this and maybe you can offer a few pointers to stop these accusations coming forward in the future. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Owen Phillips (Actor) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from imdb.com/name/nm10272668. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Owen Phillips (Actor) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Owen Phillips (Actor), is not suitable as written to remain published. It appears there is a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 13:30, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

this article is correctly wrote and is up to date and factual and you are incorect and this should not be delted Owen0706 (talk) 20:04, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Owen Phillips (Actor) (May 30)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted because it included copyrighted content, which is not permitted on Wikipedia. You are welcome to write an article on the subject, but please do not use copyrighted work. Whpq (talk) 11:38, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
i am really confused by your comments and your inability to read mine, i have stated on numerous occasions to your self and others that there is no copywrite, how can there be any copy write when i wrote the entire passage and i wrote the entire passage on IMDB and other platforms how can this in any way be copywrite in any sense of the word of my own work, do you want me to change the work i did on IMDB because its getting quite tedious explaining this over and over again that it is not possible in any sense of the work to copywrite my own work, this is not even possible, you kep warning me about my own work which i have created in my own time and for free Owen0706 (talk) 12:16, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You would need provide evidence that you are the copyright holder. See the bullet point that starts "If you own the copyright to the source" in the message below about copyright. Until a free license for the text is confirmed by VRT, you cannot use that text here on Wikipedia. -- Whpq (talk) 12:36, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have not removed the passage from IMDB SO YOU can you not that passage anymore so you will not know that I have full content and creative control as you can no longer see the bio this is very disappointing and I would like to get the page reinstated tbis is a true reflection of the person in the book and was all correct till it was altered and amended by others and all the cites were correct and in the correct places all Information is correct and up to date in addition to this there is no payment for any servies here Owen0706 (talk) 12:58, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There is no copywrite because I have not copy written the text Owen0706 (talk) 12:59, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your response is not intelligible. In any case, you need to follow the provided instructions. If you will not do that, or cannot do that then the text will not be restored as we do not have evidence of a free license for the text. -- Whpq (talk) 13:03, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello Owen0706! Your additions to Draft:Owen Phillips (Actor) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page.

Copied from IMDB profile. You were previously warned about this, do not copy text again. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 11:41, 30 May 2023 (UTC) there is no copied content i adde dthis to wiki pedia and them put it on imdb i donty knowe how many times i have to do this and repeat myself[reply]

how can you justify just deleting a page and passage and all content i wrote for Wikipedia and coined the same writing to IMDB, i wrote the words and your stating copywrite, how can you justify stating copywrite from my own work which i did and added to all other sources, keeping the same story consistent a life story on all platforms is stating true facts and there is no copywrite on this as i wrote-it Owen0706 (talk) 02:14, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As has already been stated earlier, you need to follow the instructions in the bullet point above that starts "f you own the copyright to the source...". If you cannot provide proof that you are the copyright holder, then the material will not be restored, nor accepted if you post it again. -- Whpq (talk) 02:27, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
