Notability for musicians[edit]

Hello PDAF14YT, I am the editor who nominated your article GAWNE for deletion. You are new to Wikipedia and it can be disappointing but there are two issues that would need to be addressed:

  • It lacked any sourcing. Verifiability is essential on Wikipedia, and independent sourcing must back up the claims about the artist. This is critically important for Biographies of living persons. You may want to take a look at WP:REFBEGIN for ideas on where to start.
  • In my reading of it his notability was all based on social media and streaming counts. Wikipedia has a very high bar for a musician to have his/her own article and the critiera are laid out at WP:MUSICBIO. Social media followers, users, likes, streams or whatever does not qualify. Why somebody is notable - according to that critera - should be mentioned within the first 2-3 sentances.

If the article is still a work in progress it should be left as a draft. Should it get deleted the administrator can "userfy" it for you to your draft space so you can do more work on it.Blue Riband► 03:45, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of GAWNE[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on GAWNE, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. PRAXIDICAE💕 12:07, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Silikonz-alt. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Strange World (film) seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now.
