Miles Morales[edit]

Only an administrator can protect a page, and they tend do so only if there is a specific issue requiring it, such as edit warring, or persistent vandalism or other policy violations. In the past, I've had admins put protection on it for that reason. Right now, I keep it on my watchlist, so I can monitor any inappropriate edits. I encourage you to do the same. You can do this by clicking the "watch" tab at the top of the page. You can access your watchlist by clicking the "watchlist" link in the upper right of every Wikipedia page.

In the future, if you need an admin familiar with comics-related articles, there is a list of participants in the Comics Wikiproject . While it doesn't specify who's an admin, you can snoop around their user pages to see which ones are. An admin is usually denoted by the little mop symbol in the upper right of their user page.

Remember that not all editors who work on comics-related articles are necessarily part of the Wikiproject Comics list (though you can add yourself to the by placing the following template {{User WikiProject Comics}} at the top of your user page, and not all admins have the little mop symbol, though most will make some mention at the top of their user page that they are an admin, like User:BOZ, an admin who works comics-related articles, and who has often helped me out when I've had problems with vandals or serial policy violators.

Hope this helps! Nightscream (talk) 21:51, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for November 23[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Cletus Kasady, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chthon (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Spider-Man[edit]

You and your new friend need to stop it already. You’ve never told me why you keeping adding them besides that they help him. Give me a good solid reason why they should remain on the page other than a friends promise. Instead of reverting it, tell me why. Pinky Rhino (talk) 19:23, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I know that this situation is getting very, very ridiculous and honestly I'm getting really tired, but Human Torch, since he had helped Spider-Man in the early comics and in present comics numerous times I call him a partner to Spider-Man and Ben is somewhat of a brother to Spider-Man and help each other a lot and because of the connection between them makes me consider him as partner and is also the case about Venom other than he sad to Spider-Man "Put there partner!", when Carnage showed up. Since Miles, Silk and Deadpool are in there who had teamed up as many times as the others I mentioned, in my opinion it doesn't hurt to them also. If someone is gonna block about it then I will stop. I don't agree with all Emadjshah's edits like Prodigy. I hope you understand and with sincere apologies Penguin7812 (talk) 20:48, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Human Torch is just an occasional ally, once in a while. Ben Reily isn’t a big ally to Spidey in recent times. Venom isn’t a big ally has well, him saying put there partner isn’t good enough. The heroes that are currently in place are allies who have helped over the years. You’re guys are once in a while. Pinky Rhino (talk) 23:27, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, maybe Human Torch isn't really supposed to be there, but Ben Reilly and Venom I truly believe that they should be there, since Black Cat and Prowler are there who now aren't really working together. Black Cat, Prowler and Silk have worked with Spidey as many times as the other ones. Black Cat is in the same level of Venom in the team ups and I don't know why Prowler is really there, but I didn't remove him since there might be a story with him and Spidey. If Black Cat, Prowler and Silk (not mentioning Miles because he certainly a partner) are there, then why not the other ones. I don't want sound like the other guy who made multiple accounts (which is sad). I hope you understand me. Penguin7812 (talk) 06:32, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Carnage[edit]

No I am not a sock, the reason I am reverting you is because you are factually wrong. They are nothing close to partners, even if you read his biography here, it says all the times they foughten. I’m sorry if you think I’m disruptive, but the truth of the matter is that they’re not allies. I have given you examples in all the times they have foughten, which are sourced and mentioned in the articles you keep reverting. Sterling Skywalker (talk) 16:58, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Cletus Kasady into Carnage (comics). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:34, 14 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Diannaa: actually the truth is that I didn't copied information from Cletus Kasady, but from the removed information from Carnage edit history. Just wanted to let you know. Penguin7812 (talk) 06:00, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you could leave an edit summary for each edit that would help a lot. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 11:48, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the inactivity. I think the article may survive an AFD anyway. I would lean on keep. Marvel Database is a bad site for citation though. Only should be used as an external link. Wikis shouldn’t cite wikis. Jhenderson 777 02:11, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Absolute Carnage moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Absolute Carnage, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. July 2019[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Template:Thor family tree; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. TriiipleThreat (talk) 11:14, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I removed supervillains from the cat parameter on the infobox because, as far as I can tell, it's only used for categorization purposes, placing it in Category:Fictional supervillains.
