Thanks very much, Raichu![edit]

Hi,

I was pleased and surprised to find an extra nominator on my successful RfA! :)Thanks for that... I really appreciate it.Support from younger editors helps me feel a little less old and stodgy. ;)You have a friend among the administrators now, Raichu, so if you ever need help with anything on the wiki, don't be afraid to ask.My talk page is always open, and I'd love to hear from you.Keep up the good work, and you'll administrator too before too long!Best wishes, Xoloz 02:59, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Four square[edit]

Please do not make cut-and-paste moves. They do not preserve the editing history of pages. If you would like to rename Four square, you need to visit Wikipedia:Requested moves. However, generic names such as "four square" are correctly capitalized. The word "square" should not be capitalized. Rhobite 23:47, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA[edit]

Thank you, Raichu, for voting in my RFA. It closed with a final result of 75/1/0. Now that I am an administrator here, I will continue to improve this encyclopedia, using my new tools to revert vandalism, block persistent vandals, protect pages that have been vandalized intensively, and close AFD discussions. Any questions? Please contact me by adding a new section on my talk page. Again, thanks to all of you who participated!!! -- King of 23:15, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Joturner's 2nd RfA[edit]

Hi Raichu, I was looking through Joturner's 2nd RfA and saw that you have two votes registered - one for (no. 102) and one against (no. 22). I wasn't sure which one you wanted so have left both intact - please remove one of them. Thanks, Tangotango 13:45, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userboxes[edit]

Do you have a version of the deleted userboxes I could see. I am very conserned with the rampant deletion of userboxes that do not fall under T1. —David618 01:37, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about the stress[edit]

Perfectly percolated Esperanza blend coffee, just for you!

I'm sorry everything seems to be going badly. Try to look on the bright side, and count all the good things that you have right now, things that other people don't. That's what I do. It may sound stupid, but it helps you appreciate life a lot more. I know what you mean about the userboxes, though. One of mine was speedy-deleted without anyone telling me.-- The ikiroid  16:43, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There's not much to say after those terribly inspiring words but to agree!Even if there are a bunch of bad things happening on Wikipedia, there's some reason you enjoy it, because you're here!I hope you decide to stay and keep contributing. -- Natalya 17:36, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please stay, I know any type of edit war is tough, but things will be better in the long run. They're planning on making a new namespace for it, and no more will be deleted unless they're sectarian/racist etc. If you must leave it's your decision, but we wish you wouldn't. Regards, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 17:20, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I've decided to stay. Raichu 20:32, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Try not to let the userbox war slow you down. You are not the only who is upset at Cyde, I promise. --Pilot|guy 18:06, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He doesn't seem to be making many friends with the way he seems to be doing things (ie telling people what to do, not phrasing in the form of a request). He also comes across as very "I'm better than you". — Nathan (talk) 22:19, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, he just added himself to the Esperanza member list. I know it's not a nice thing to say, but I'll be accepting bets on how long it will take before he gets booted out. — Nathan (talk) 23:38, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for being my friend! Like, how old are you? You play all those instruments, and you sing well, too! I sound like a strangled cat - no, worse when I sing! I'm really impressed! :) Sergeant Snopake 22:26, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wow! You're a lot more intelligent than I was at ten! Don't get upset about Cyde - no one I know likes him, and he's my least favourite admin. If you really love your userboxes, you can go to JDoorjam and ask him to subst them for you. You get the whole code instead of the little one, and your userboxes aren't affected when templates go up for deletion (and are, subsequently deleted)! It solved all my problems. ;) Sergeant Snopake 08:51, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userbox note[edit]

I noticed your userpage has a few userboxes linked which appear to be deleted. You might want to check it out and either replace them or remove the broken links! :)

9 month requirement[edit]

Raichu, I'm a little confused about your 9 month requirement. Kukini's racked up no opposition, but you voted neutral b/c he's only been here 6 months. But Siva has been here an identical amount of time, yet you granted "Strongest Possible Super Ultra Mega Support" and co-nominated to boot. Why? This seems contradictory. I don't ask in the spirit of confrontation; I'm just confused. --Kchase02 (T) 07:14, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My Thanks[edit]

I wanted to drop a brief note on your talk page (one admittedly not written to you only, but nevertheless truly meant) to thank you for your vote in my Request for Adminship, which concluded this evening.Even though it was unsuccessful, it did make clear to me some areas in which I can improve my contributions to Wikipedia, both in terms of the areas in which I can participate and the manner in which I can participate.I do plan on, at some point in the future (although, I think, not the near future), attempting the process again, and I hope you will consider participating in that voting process as well.If you wish in the future to offer any constructive criticism to me, or if I may assist you with anything, I hope you will not hesitate to contact me.Thanks again. — WCityMike (T | C)  ⇓ plz reply HERE  (why?) ⇓  04:26, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request[edit]

If you could kindly consider my request; please remove the text you added to your userpage in this edit. It can be considered a gross violation of WP:NPA and WP:CIVIL. If you can't remove it, someone else will. Please attend to this matter at your soonest convenience. Thank you, Master of Puppets FREE BIRD! 01:09, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if you'll ever get this message (you seem to have become an ex-wikipedian), but you may want to read up on the German solution. My RfA[edit]

Hello, Raichu, and thank you for the vote on my recent RfA! With a final vote of 84/1/4, I have now been entrusted with the mop, bucket and keys. I will be slowly acclimating myself to my new tools over the next months, but welcome any and all feedback and suggestions on how I might be able to use them to help the project. A short Esperanzial update[edit]

As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.

As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.

August Esperanza Newsletter[edit]

Program Feature: To-Do List
The Esperanza To-Do List is a place where you may list any request, big or small, for assistance. If you need help with archiving your usertalk, for example, all you need to do is list it here and somebody will help you out. Likewise, if you need help with some area of editing on Wikipedia, list it here! Again, any matter, trivial or not, can be placed on this page. However, all matters listed on this page must not be of an argumentative nature. You do not need to be a member of Esperanza (or this program) to place or fulfill requests on this page. If you don't have any requests, consider coming by and fulfilling a few! This program has not been very active, but has lots of potential!
What's New?
In order to help proposed programs become specific enough to make into full-fledged programs, the In development section of the proposals page has been created.Proposals that are promising, but need to be organized in more detail are listed here. Please take a look at what is there, and help the proposals turn into programs.
To improve both the layout and text of the front page, in an attempt to clarify the image of Esperanza, the front page is going to have some redesigning take place. Please take your creative minds to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Front page redesign to brainstorm good ideas.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
  1. In order to make sure all users who join Esperanza are welcomed, a list of volunteers who are willing to welcome new Esperanzians is at Wikipedia:Esperanza/Members#Esperanza_welcomers.Please add yourself if you are interested; we want to make sure all new Esperanza members are welcomed!
  2. The In development section of the proposals page has been created.
  3. Proposals page:Some proposals have been moved to the aforementioned "In development" section, some have been left as a proposal, and others have been archived. For those proposals that were a good idea but didn't necessarily constitute a program, General Esperanzial Actions has been created.
  4. Two small pieces of charter reform will be decided on in a straw poll at Wikipedia talk:Esperanza/Governance.One involves filling the position of any councillors who may leave, the other involves reforming the charter.
  5. Until cooperation with the Kindness Campaign is better defined, it remains as a proposed program.
  6. There is a page for discussing the front page redesign.

September Esperanza Newsletter[edit]

Program Feature: Barnstar Brigade
Here in Wikipedia there are hundreds of wikipedians whose work and efforts go unappreciated. One occasionally comes across editors who have thousands of good edits, but because they may not get around as much as others, their contributions and hard work often go unnoticed. As Esperanzians we can help to make people feel appreciated, be it by some kind words or the awarding of a Barnstar. This is where the Barnstar Brigade comes in.The object of this program is to seek out the people which deserve a Barnstar, and help them feel appreciated. With your help, we can recognize more dedicated editors!
What's New?
September elections are upon us!Anyone wishing to be a part of the Advisory Council may list themselves as a candidate from 18 September until 24 September, with the voting taking place from 25 September to 30 September. Those who wish to help with the election staff should also list themselves!

Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.

Redirect of Richard Macklin[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Richard Macklin, by Zeibura, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Richard Macklin is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Richard Macklin, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Richard Macklin itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 15:03, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Susie Shinner[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Susie Shinner, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. hbdragon88 05:54, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Template:User dating WoW[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:User dating WoW requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

The article 2022 Winter Olympics has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:CRYSTAL. This is 11 years away and the location isn't announced until 2015, which is four years away/

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JDDJS (talk) 17:47, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. You previously voted in the 2006 AfD for Suri Cruise. At the time, Suri was less than 10 days old, and the ultimate verdict was to turn the article into a redirect to her mother's page.

Since then, Suri has become much more notable in her own right as a toddler fashion icon, with over 13 million hits on google image search. After getting an administrator to lift the protection on the redirect, I recently restored the article as a stub, but an editor who believes that "6 year olds are not inherently notable" has again requested deletion.

If it's not too much trouble, I'd appreciate your making your opinion known at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Suri Cruise (2nd nomination) Warren Dew (talk) 07:38, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
