[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; however, please remember the essential rule of respecting copyrights. Edits to Wikipedia, such as your edit to the page Penicillium maximae, may not contain material from copyrighted sources unless used with permission. It is almost never okay to copy extensive text out of a book or website and paste it into a Wikipedia article with little or no alteration, though you can clearly and briefly quote copyrighted text in the right circumstances. Content that does not comply with this legal rule must be removed. For more information on this, see:
- Copying text from other sources

If you still have questions, there is the teahouse, or you can and someone will be along to answer it shortly. As you get started, you may find the pages below to be helpful.

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Sagardd234! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 09:22, 11 August 2021 (UTC)

So are you saying if I copy only few words of that info I just chugged out of internet page and rest of the content is derived from the page by having common paraphrases with citations then my addition cannot be copyrighted?. Also I had cited the source where I had the info on the recent article i edited which means I credited the authors of the work and hence copyright issues cannot be a liability. I would like you to reconsider the changes made to my addition on wiki page Penicillium maximae once again. Thank you.
P.N. They didnt remove my citation on the wiki article (from where I obtained the info) but deleted whatever content I had written in the paragraphs. Sagardd234 (talk) 10:29, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
- Citing where you copied text from does not obviate the fact that you copied content. The 'copyright police' are adamant and never-resting, in their efforts to remove copyright violations. There is a specific software program that screens for percent of verbatim copied content. David notMD (talk) 13:05, 11 August 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Jugger. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Test001
[edit]Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Draft:Test001, to Wikipedia. Doing so is considered vandalism and is prohibited. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Hello, Sagardd234,
- Because your page appeared to be a User essay rather than an article draft, I moved it to your User space, User:Sagardd234/Sandbox, instead of deleting the page. It is still tagged for AFC review. Liz Read! Talk! 00:38, 22 August 2021 (UTC)

As expected I don't want any submission of my draft as any article. I simply wanted to make sure my message is heard because wikipedia is total bs to me. If you come to read here then only it can be rewarding. Sagardd234 (talk) 09:12, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
