September 2022[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Duchess of Argyll has been reverted.
Your edit here to Duchess of Argyll was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline (see also this list of frequently-discussed sources). The reference(s) you added or changed (https://familypedia.fandom.com/wiki/Peerage_of_Scotland) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 21:04, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Eunice Erdoo Ortom requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.eslffoundation.org.ng/staff-page/eunice-ortom/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Notice

The article Mitchell Cox has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article makes no mention of significant coverage of the subject in reliable sources. It is likely an autobiography, which is strongly discouraged.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Shamsideen Fashola, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Tijjani Aliyu, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Advice[edit]

Hi, you seem to be creating articles with rather questionable notability. If you're not sure whether a subject is notable, please don't publish the article yourself, put it through the AfC review process, that's what it's there for. You seem to also have COI with many of the subjects you write about; in that case you definitely shouldn't publish directly, but need to go through AfC.

And speaking of COI, you must know by now that disclosing your COI is a mandatory requirement, so please don't wait for someone to come here querying it. When you decide to start drafting about a topic you have a COI in, the first thing you should do is disclose the COI, before doing anything else, so that it's done. Otherwise you're giving the impression that you may have a COI in just about everything, but you've only disclosed it in some of the cases.

Finally, a general point regarding all your COIs: if you are being paid or otherwise rewarded for your edits, it's not enough to disclose a generic COI, you must disclose paid-editing, see WP:PAID.

Blocked as a sockpuppet[edit]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Hilspress per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Hilspress. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

I understand that I made mistakes and abused articles processes and do apologize. Also I insist, am not related to the said User:Hilpress (I am still checking on the person who I assisted to move his articles to mainspace and said he doesnt know the username) and have had no need to create any new account since I created my account in 2022 and hopefully do not want to do so now. I value the work editors do here, even the many corrections I had from them, even in article creations process. I do hope my appeal is acceptedSeptemberGab (talk) 5:04 pm, 23 October 2023, Monday (2 months, 17 days ago) (UTC−4)

Decline reason:

Please concisely and clearly describe what you did to get blocked, what you would do different, and what constructive edits you would make. Thanks -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 21:24, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again.
