I have mentioned clearly as it doesn’t make sense to give random statement which is not even related to that section. Secondly that reference mentioned as oxford is not used there instead it is from other reference. So I have kept it in talk page. Joshi punekar (talk) 15:32, 19 April 2019 (UTC)

Clash

Now I'm not saying that AN/I isnt a lovely bubble for the most thoughtful and considerate to wave their hammers, but remind you of anywhere. Also thanks for the Clash reverts. Yes, WP:lEAD absolutely applies. Paul Ceoil (talk) 17:07, 14 April 2019 (UTC)

Right: The BUG EYES are an ANI dead give away. But thanks for making me feel old(er)...I saw DJ in brixton back in the day, they opened with Freak Scene. Classic tune.
As far as underrated Clash goes, my preference is Sandinista!, although perhaps that gained its cult following earlier? Cut the Ceoil Crap is coming on well—when, I suppose, you get the chance to actually write and not get pished about with {{fact}} tags... ——SerialNumber54129 17:31, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
Put it this way man, if you hadn't seen the edits before I did, I would have gone all nuclear and would be now serving hard time, listening to Johnny Cash, in Brixton. ps am a Combat Rock man myself. Ceoil (talk) 17:54, 14 April 2019 (UTC)

Just hello

No other reason to drop by. And to say that it took me way too long to realize that Oshwah decided to call me Bob because it's embedded in my IP. Cheers, 2601:188:180:1481:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 22:04, 29 March 2019 (UTC)

Nice one Gerda, hope your weekend is peaceful. ——SerialNumber54129 18:29, 6 April 2019 (UTC)
Thank you, I just returned from listening to Passio, - stunning piece. Before, they sang his da pacem Domine, da pacem Domine, bolding by me. I escaped the tongue-biting ;) - Tomorrow, it will be listening to Die sieben Worte, - 'tis the season. Peaceful. Hope also for you. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:45, 6 April 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for the move from draft of Bohumil Herlischka the other day. (Strange discussion on his DYK nom.) Similar case: Draft:Christian Elsner, and more to come, perhaps watch here? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:45, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
@Gerda Arendt: well. If a page is worthy of mainspace—or can be encouraged to be so—then it most certainly should be; happy to help. For example. Yes, that DYK is a bit curious isn't it? I might wait and see how it pans out; but I think I'll be needing a QPQ soon enough  :) I can kind of see the point though: you know I know nothing about classical music also, so all my edits are under advisement. Having said that, niche topics by their nature are going to have only a small pool of people who will find something automatically interesting; I think the aim with DYK (and that particular criterion) is to draw in the uninterested reader...and turn them into an interested one  :) ——SerialNumber54129 11:22, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
PS: You're allowed more than two comments in this discussion, at least; where on earth did that rule come from?! ——SerialNumber54129 11:22, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
Starting at the end: I invented the restriction in WP:ARBINFOBOX (discussion of decision, look for "start today") as kind of a joke, and then they actually gave me that. Rescinded in 2015, but good practise, any discussion: make your point and walk away. Before: good approach in general, make them interested, and I thought "six operas" - no matter by whom - might do that. The article really might be boring to someone who needs an explanation for what "opera" is, - spare them that. Elsner: could you move that one? I feel I can't having done the update, and the one who sent it to draft hasn't answered. I hate giving our readers a red link, on top saying "was deleted", instead of an article, even if that article is not perfect, only decent. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:59, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
@Gerda Arendt: Elsner, already moved. I see what you mean re. comments; slightly odd though, creating your own "sentence"  :) ——SerialNumber54129 12:10, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
That whole case was so kafkaesque that taking it as a farce was the best attitude. Took me a while, though, and this "best remembered as a farce" helped ;) - mind the 2014 date. Then turn to Yeats and see some still seriously debating in 2019. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:16, 15 April 2019 (UTC)

My dear friend

I did not think it was necessary to wheel war over AN/I discussion closure; for this case, it was fine; but when are you going to run for RfA? Hundreds of us have been asking you and perhaps, GreenMeansGo. Alex Shih (talk) 20:26, 17 January 2018 (UTC)

@Alex Shih: Look: I really must apologise about the ANI close. I assure you—no excuse that it is—that I didn't realise that You had already closed it, that SoV had re-opened it, and then I turned up in size thirteens  :) I saw the thread, went to the RfC, saw you'd closed that, and went back to the ANI thread... and closed it :o I'm afraid you and "hundreds" of others are now in the company of someone who didn't check the page history. A page one error! -and one which I will be rightfully condemned for. Sorry about that. Hope SarekoV didn't think I was stepping on their toes too. wel, clearly i did; but not deliberately. Nice message though: thanks! >SerialNumber54129...speculates 20:34, 17 January 2018 (UTC)

RfA

I know a lot about RfA, prbably more than most because I pioneered the biggest ever investigation into it and I've voted on literally 100s of them. One of the problems of being an admin, is that people jump on us for anything they can and just love taking our comments out of context. You said 'extremely unfair'... False accusations

A user accused me of vandalism, for no apparent reason. I had had no interaction with them. So I asked them why they did that. As a result of that, you've now accused me of harassment. Are you playing some kind of joke? 51.7.34.203 (talk) 15:00, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

@51.7.34.203 If you have been requested to stay of an editor's talk page, it is customary to respect that decision; see WP:NOBAN. Continuing to do so after having been asked to desist constitutes harassment; low-level harassment, perhaps, but still harassment. See WP:HUSH and WP:DRC. ——SerialNumber54129 15:12, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

Why did you falsely accuse me of vandalism? 51.7.34.203 (talk) 15:02, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for your message. The addition was neutral and was by no means spam and I am disappointed that it was labelled something that it certainly wasn't. On 5 March 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Joan of Leeds, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in 1318 an English nun, Joan of Leeds, faked her own death and fled her priory, leaving a dummy in her place to be buried instead of her? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Joan of Leeds. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Joan of Leeds), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

DYK for Keldholme Priory election dispute

On 8 March 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Keldholme Priory election dispute, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that a disputed Priory election in early 14th-century Yorkshire led to nuns being placed under interdict and later being accused of being "daughters of perdition" by their own Archbishop? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Keldholme Priory election dispute. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Keldholme Priory election dispute), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Scripts++ Newsletter – Issue 5

WikiCup 2019 May newsletter

The second round of the 2019 WikiCup has now finished. Contestants needed to scored 32 points to advance into round 3. Our top four scorers in round 2 all scored over 400 points and were:

  • Scotland Cas Liber (1210), our winner in 2016, with two featured articles and three DYKs. He also made good use of the bonus points available, more than doubling his score by choosing appropriate articles to work on.
  • Wales Kosack (750), last year's runner up, with an FA, a GA, two FLs, and five DYKs.
  • Adam Cuerden (480), a WikiCup veteran, with 16 featured pictures, mostly restorations.
  • Kingdom of Prussia Zwerg Nase (461), a seasoned competitor, with a FA, a GA and an ITN item.

Other notable performances were put in by Chicago Barkeep49 with six GAs, United States Ceranthor, England Lee Vilenski, and Saskatchewan Canada Hky, each with seven GARs, and Denmark MPJ-DK with a seven item GT.

So far contestants have achieved nine featured articles between them and a splendid 80 good articles. Commendably, 227 GARs have been completed during the course of the 2019 WikiCup, so the backlog of articles awaiting GA review has been reduced as a result of contestants' activities. The judges are pleased with the thorough GARs that are being performed, and have hardly had to reject any. As we enter the third round, remember that any content promoted after the end of round 2 but before the start of round 3 can be claimed in round 3. Remember too that you must claim your points within 14 days of "earning" them.

If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article nominations, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed (remember to remove your listing when no longer required). Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove your name from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. University of Bologna

The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

Hey dude, what is your problem? I mean I know you are English and seem to have a stiff butt hole but come on what kind of whiney child reports a user who spews nothing but facts? I have a question what are your educational credentials? Like I said before the statement on University of Bologna are factually incorrect. Even the Italians would whole heartedly disagree with that statement "University of Bologna being the oldest university in the world". I know this because I been there, and have researched this. There is no academic text book that says that it is the oldest in the world. It is not even on the Guinness World of Record as being the oldest. The oldest existing, and continually operating educational institution in the world is the University of Karueein, founded in 859 AD in Fez, Morocco. The University of Bologna, Italy, was founded in 1088 and is the oldest one in Europe. And that is according to Guinness Book of World Records who research and send a qualified agent to investigate these matters before they put these types of statements in their books. As I said before Thomas.W is wrong. He is putting his own bias opinion into this. He says that those institutions were founded as madrasahs but he is factually wrong because they were degree granting institutions for both religious and non religious sciences that is why Guinness Book of Record recognized it as such so did Encyclopedia Britannica. In fact his comment is laughable to any historian or academic because the word madrasah simply means school in Arabic. That is like me saying Harvard Law School is not a university because it has the word school in it. He has a bias Eurocentric view on history and likes to white wash historical facts. I mean would you like an Oxford professor of history to explain this to you? If you do I can provide an e-mail of such a professor if that would help you better grasp what I'm trying to say? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Afg96 (talkcontribs) 17:26, 27 April 2019 (UTC)

Bludgeoning

Hello, please withdraw your accusation of bludgeoning, I have done nothing of the sort. Thanks Polyamorph (talk) 09:50, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

@Polyamorph: Hi! Yes, I could do that; or, of course, I could seek administative intervention next time you poison an already verging-on-toxic discussion as you have been doing, whether by patronising [4], accusations of prejudice[5], and of "hierarchical"[6]—whatever that means—or just being blatantly wrong [7]. Cheers, ——SerialNumber54129 10:02, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
Right...you have commented on more threads in that discussion than me so are you actually bludgeoning? I was wrong and I withdrew my comment when I misinterpreted Hijiri 88's comments as being prejudiced, which I struck and clarified in my reply, and which they thanked me for. "Hierarchical" is a reference to academic heiriarchy and is not in anyway an accusation. It was also in response to a reply to my own comment. And I f**ked up the rudolf reindeer comment and withdrew it rather promptly. So I'd rather you did actually withdraw your bludgeoning comment, especially since you accept you can do that, if you would be so kind. Polyamorph (talk) 10:12, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
You have made almost twice as many comments on that page as me, but don't let facts get in the way of self-denial. Take care, ——SerialNumber54129 10:23, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
What self-denial? I admit I fu**ked up a couple of comments. Polyamorph (talk) 10:25, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
P.S., for the record, and not that it's going to help as you clearly dislike me, but you have 7 signed comments on that page, versus my 11. That 2/3 not 1/2. Polyamorph (talk) 10:33, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
Why would I dislike you? For what it's worth, up until the point where I called you out, it waz five. But ——SerialNumber54129 10:38, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
Sure and you can say the same for my response to you. I don't know why you would dislike me, but I've asked (hopefully nicely) for you to withdraw a comment and you refuse and even threaten admin action. I haven't meant anything bad, I've just messed up a few comments and misinterpreted a couple of editors, which I've retracted. I should probably step away from wikipedia and have a break, and in fact that's exactly what I'm going to do, and I can tell you for certain that I won't be commenting on that DRV again.Polyamorph (talk) 10:45, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
@Polyamorph: Following your wikibreak and our discussion here, I don't think there's as much an issue as there could've been; I've struck my remark about bludgeoning, although with a mandatory patronising edit-summary  :) hope you're well! ——SerialNumber54129 16:33, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

I saw your the post you added and removed at Talk:Lynne DiSanto. I am not involved in any content dispute. Before the edit to restore the content to the pre-edit war version I had never edited the article before. I did not recognize either editor and am not involved with either of them in an admin or editor capacity. I reverted back to the pre-edit war version in the spirit of WP:BRD. I have also explained this to the editor that made the initial Bold edit that was the edit that started the edit war. ~ GB fan 12:33, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

@GB fan: Thanks for this; I meant to restore that post with the correct ping (if you notice, I'd fluffed the reply template!). Yes, well, you may be right; but ultimately you edited through protection to make an editorial intervention, one which is down to the protecting administrator to make: WP:PREFER, Protected pages may not be edited except to make changes that are uncontroversial or for which there is clear consensus—clearly not the case, otherwise the protection would have been unnecessary. I admit I don't see much in WP:BRD allowing editing through protection; indeed, it seems to suggest the opposite (Using BRD in volatile situations is discouraged and BRD fails if...the page is protected). In any case, I don't think you were involved, and I don't have many TPWs, so there's no danger of anyone linking it, judgment-wise, to—previous lapses, shall we say  :) Anyway, I hope you're well! Continuing to respect you! Happy editing, as we say :) Cheers, ——SerialNumber54129 12:50, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
As far as the protecting admin is concerned there is this. ~ GB fan 12:54, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
V. naughty. I'm surprised that the protecting admin hasn't heard of this, which is mandatory reading for these situations in which everyone is offended and no-one is satisfied  :) Anyway, I'm sure you know your business best. Take care! ——SerialNumber54129 13:00, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

In case you didn't get me, I removed the picture because not archiving the thread and keeping a huge DON'T FEED THE TROLL picture is the exact opposite of what DFTT means. Either way, not my boat. --qedk (t c) 09:17, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

@QEDK: You're certainly right it was and remains none of your business whatsoever and rather arrogant to think you just had to do so: WP:NOBAN, and don't pull that kind of stunt again. ——SerialNumber54129 09:23, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
There was no stunt, if you don't want other editors making edits on your talk page, you should state that appropriately. It is not my fault you do not appreciate others' helpful changes and also, that you do not state your intentions before being hostile to them. --qedk (t c) 09:40, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
Brilliant. So I have to put a MASSIVE sign up requesting that anyone who wants to PISS-ARSE AROUND on my talk page should not, in fact, do so?! So it's all MY fault is it? Well, thank you for explaining that, I'll have to polish the old crystal ball a bit harder in order to predict the next character to randomly refactor my page. Take care and happy editing! ——SerialNumber54129 09:47, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
Only because you misconstrued (and still are) my intentions. No one is PISS-ARSE AROUNDing on your talk page, I did the edit that I believed was along your DFTT motive. What is my fault is that I expected you to assume good faith. --qedk (t c) 09:56, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

But was it in mainspace, though?

@Mandruss and Atsme: [8]? After all, the colon differentiates namespaces. It looks like the search engine agrees with me, since User praise:Atsme exists, even if only as a redirect, while https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ASearch&search=Atsme&go=Go&ns0=1 does not return it. Honestly, I think we - all those pinged here - have created a new namespace! --GRuban (talk) 17:59, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Why are you pinging me about this? I'm embarrassed enough that you took my offhand remark and ran with it. That crossed the line in my opinion. Please leave me out of this. ―Mandruss  18:06, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
But it was your idea! OK, will leave you out. Just wanted to give you your due, but I respect your modesty, and your adherence to the great tradition of contributing a valuable invention to society without patenting it, or otherwise taking credit. Would that all great inventors were so humble. --GRuban (talk) 18:11, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
It was a rhetorical device never meant to be acted upon. I think that was obvious enough. ―Mandruss  18:13, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
I thought you actually moved her UTP as per my remark. If you merely created the "User praise:" page, that's less disruptive but still unnecessarily provocative in my opinion. ―Mandruss  18:41, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
But funny? --GRuban (talk) 19:44, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
Well, WP:ECHO was kept busy there  :) sorry, I was elsewhere. Apologies, @GRuban and Mandruss: if I caused any offence or clumsilly wandered into the middle of something...I don't understand about colonic mainspaces (!!!)—yes I knowm shouldn't be allowed out on my own, blah blah—but I thought it was, precisely because the colon was off centre. I am more confused; should it be moved back? FWIW, I thought it was a shame; v good photo  :) ——SerialNumber54129 18:28, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

  • And to celebrate having my watchlist back... I look at the top of it, poke around, and act like a big stick in the mud. Sorry to delete the redirect User praise:Atsme, but it's definitely in the mainspace. There is no "user praise" namespace (perhaps there should be?), and Mediawiki isn't smart enough to know you (GRuban) were being funny. It just sees a page in the mainspace with a colon in it, like any other article with a colon in it. --Floquenbeam (talk) 19:57, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
Hi, Flo!! My apologies if the image frightened you. It was not my intention - blame GR. As a thumbnail, it looks just fine because I can't see much of anything that small, and figured no one else could...except maybe eagle-eyes. Notice no wikilink for eagle-eyes because none of the editors I know fit that description. R2 - absolutely...I don't hold grudges - my memory won't allow it. Remember, preconceived notions are not your ally, and most editors respond far more favorably to collegial discussion - and yes, I readily accept constructive criticism despite my new praise page. It's more a matter of what one prefers. I've never known anyone who grew tired of compliments. As for washing machine filters...dude!! ^_^. Atsme Talk 📧 20:16, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

AN3

Re: your strange quotebox up the page: I'm not concerned with whether other administrators' feelings are hurt - everybody needs to stop giving VxFC oxygen. Administrators and other editors can be forgiven for not spotting a sock they're not familiar with, but given that VxFC perennially tries to stir up exactly what was happening at AN3, let's not gratify him. Acroterion (talk) 14:32, 19 May 2019 (UTC)

@Acroterion: I totally agree, and I respect that you've replied here, many thanks for doing so. For a start, the whole thing was blown slightly out of proportion, I agree; Nyttend seemed to think arbcom was around the corner, and I think we've all had enough of that for the time being. But I must emphasise that if one is going to use words such as "harass", one should ensure that one has one's evidence to hand. Allegations without diffs are aspersions, and—while I'm the first (and often am) to squash VxfC (diff, diff, diff, diff, diff)—we can't avoid having difficult discussions just because they may / will hijack them for their own ends. Of course, they will; it's what they do. But if we closed a conversation every time an LTA involved themselves in our business, our business would soon grind to a halt. Anyway, thanks for looking in, and have a good Sunday. ——SerialNumber54129 14:44, 19 May 2019 (UTC)
Yeah, it's something that VxFC is really good at inciting. RBI is the only way to go with this sort of thing. Acroterion (talk) 14:46, 19 May 2019 (UTC)

I'd certanly agree their assistance was unrequired, although I think that the original "incitement"—as it were—is probably more the responsibility of Materialscientist (edit-warring and rollbacking) and Nyttend (accusations of harassment); without any of that, there would have been nothing to troll. Still, I'm sure it won't happen again.

On a lighter note, Winged Blades of Godric, I see you were unjustly accused of participation of our little ANEW soirée. I imagine that's a result of User:Hell in a Bucket misreading the board (you have a thread somewhat farther down, I see, but of course it's unrelated). It's a shame, but there seems to have been a regular litany of errors today...refactoring this page, misunderstandstanding WP:POLEMIC, with their entire claim ("a useful excercise" notwithstanding) being...summarilly rejected. I say nothing of the repeated ([11], [12]) need to apologize to all and sundry.

Still; all's well that end's well. Now, having resolved the matter at the root of the affaire quotebox, I can remove it. I suppose it's an object lesson in how much more profitable discussion is to refactoring. I imagine such an approach in the first place woould have resulted in much fewer words and time expended and wasted for the same result. C'est la vie. </sermon> ——SerialNumber54129 17:08, 19 May 2019 (UTC)

All of these analyses and suggestions for atonement just work against denial of recognition. That said, a little explanation goes a long way to unconfuse editors who aren't familiar with this particular troll, whose specialty is the exploitation of superficial plausibility to get everybody arguing with each other. They've been doing this for years. Acroterion (talk) 02:44, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

DS notices

I just saw your comment at AE that DS notices don't show up on mobile phones? I wonder if I should add that bit of info to my ARCA request? Atsme Talk 📧 04:08, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

Opinions on an article

How's Sentinelese for a GA? Will be interested in hearing your opinions:-) WBGconverse 16:38, 22 May 2019 (UTC)

(talk page watcher) An immediate thing that jumps out is The Sentinelese … may be shorter in stature than average humans. During a 2014 circumnavigation of their island, researchers put their height between 5 ft 3 in (1.60 m) and 5 ft 5 in (1.65 m)—this range is actually taller than the average height of Indians (who are statistically one of the shortest populations in the world). The statement is obviously factually correct in that they're below the mean for the planet, but this height range isn't at all atypical for South Asia. ‑ Iridescent 16:49, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
Thanks; will copy-edit that line. WBGconverse 08:31, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
I'd try to get rid of the stub paragraphs as well. Also, is it just me or does this article have very few sources from India despite the island being considered Indian territory? Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 18:54, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
Thanks, will be merging some of the paragraphs. Agree that some are too short.
Since 1990s, all contact expeditions have been stopped except for some routine circumnavigations and frankly, there's nothing much to write about. The island, now-a-days, make it to the headlines only in stray cases of illegal intrusions (and subsequent death) like Chau, Raj-Tiwari et al.
Aprior to that, (~1960-1990) there used to be passive-aggressive contact missions (and some thrill-vacations) every year or so, but it was largely the same story. The detailed records of ANSI, log-diaries of the teams et al contain precious little, apart from what's already in the article. I don't believe that any newspaper would have been interested to publish such mundane stuff given that even the incident of first (and only) contact was not reported except in a local newspaper. Even in that span, it was only once/twice that the teams managed to enter the island and record some observations about their lifestyle.
If we go further back by about a century, when British officers (Portman, Temple et al) toured the island and captured them often, I expect to locate coverage across regional dailies (at a minimum) but accessing such old newspapers in India is a tediously difficult job. But FWIW, they frequently went about invading random islands, capturing natives, trying to utilize them for their own purposes and did a variety of allied stuff. So, it might not have been rare enough, to report. I don't have a concrete idea and it's a territory of guess-works. So far, no scholar (incl. Pandya who is a famed academic in these domains) has mentioned any such source, in their bibliography.
I will still note that 2 of the most-used sources over the article are by two highly reputed Indian authors in the field (T.N. Pandit and V. Pandya).WBGconverse 08:58, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

Do you want to nominate "Humphrey Stafford, 1st Duke of Buckingham" for July 10th's TFA?

Hello 54129! I was just messaging you since you were one of the primary editors and FA nominators of "Humphrey Stafford, 1st Duke of Buckingham". I was wondering if you'd want to nominate this page of yours for TFA for 10 July 2019, as you suggested at WP:TFARP. Humphrey Stafford, 1st Duke of Buckingham is a great featured article, and it would be a cool TFA on July 10 (the anniversary of the subject's death) - would you want formally nominate that page at WP:TFA/R? Paintspot Infez (talk) 01:44, 8 June 2019 (UTC)

Oops, accidentally asked you about a different page. Sorry, meant "Humphrey Stafford, 1st Duke of Buckingham" (and not "1989 Tour de France" - wrong user). Paintspot Infez (talk) 20:39, 9 June 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for the poke, Paintspothave done so! Cheers, ——SerialNumber54129 18:02, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

Your message must've brought plenty of good luck!

The Special Barnstar
You posted this message on 211.27.115.246's talk page (the date, time and your username I've not included as they're not needed). I used to own that IP.:

'I saw your post on AnnaFrodesiak's talk page; anything I can help with? What particular vandalism did you have in mind?' Looks like the message brought me good luck because I, on this IP, ended up reverting a decent amount of bad stuff/reporting accounts whose usernames don't meet the policy, most of which feels to me like was done in the past 1/2 a week but have been doing almost nothing else for a month minus the aforementioned period of time. 211.26.200.179 (talk) 11:25, 12 June 2019 (UTC)

Whilst you're reading this, shall I file an AN3 complaint for what's been happening on the crepe article (I found out via AIV haha)*haha because via and AIV are the reverse of each other (ignoring capitalization) - no offense.211.26.200.179 (talk) 11:39, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
Well, it's been protected now, so there's no need; but I'm rather surprised that User:Freddyf638 hasn't been blocked for blatant vandalism. In any case, the only thing that should "go on the crepe article" is sugar and lemon. Possibly Nutella. Or a chicken and mushroom creamy thing. Mmmm.
Thanks for the barnstar btw, anon; I draw your attention to WP:ACCOUNT, in case you feel like it; no pressure. ——SerialNumber54129 11:49, 13 June 2019 (UTC)

Untranscluded DYK nominations from April

Serial Number 54129, it looks like you have two DYK nominations from April where you created the nomination pages but never transcluded them onto the Nominations page, so no one ever saw them (and therefore they were never reviewed). The nomination pages appear to have been created within the requisite seven days.

If you would like them to be reviewed, please transclude them under their proper dates. The nominations are:

Please give this your earliest attention. Best of luck with them both. If you decide you do not wish to proceed with either or both of the nominations, let me know and I will arrange to have the nomination pages deleted. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 06:05, 21 June 2019 (UTC)

@BlueMoonset: Many thanks for this, they dropped off the radar somehow. Wot day should they go in, since April is long gone? ——SerialNumber54129 14:18, 21 June 2019 (UTC)
Serial Number 54129, put the one in under March 30, and the other under March 31, and add a note to each explaining that while they were nominated in time, you forgot to transclude them. This isn't the first time that such nominations have been forgotten and then added when they were found. I'll be happy to post a little note to say that I encouraged you to transclude them when I discovered that they'd been overlooked. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:52, 21 June 2019 (UTC)
