Information icon Hello, I'm Denisarona. I noticed that you recently removed content from Wikipedia:Contents without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. Web Influencer Culture moved to draftspace[edit]

Hi Siyu Han. An article you recently created, Web Influencer Culture, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. You may also want to review our policy on refraining from original research: Wikipedia articles should summarise information that was previously published in reliable sources, and not reflect the personal analysis of individual contributors. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or concerns. Best wishes, Blablubbs|talk 14:59, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Web Influencer Culture has been moved to Draft:Web Influencer Culture again. I see you are a student, and as far as I can see on the course page, you should not be moving Draft:Web Influencer Culture to Web Influencer Culture right now. Your work needs to be peer-reviewed first. I think it is best that you ask your teacher about this. Thanks. ~ Ase1estecharge-paritytime 08:13, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback[edit]

Hi. I see that your draft is currently at Articles for Creation. If you're concerned about this from a grading perspective, you shouldn't be - your instructor can see your work there (though you might want to provide them the link to make it easier for them to find). Whatever you do, stop moving the page. This is a form of edit warring, and it can get you blocked from Wikipedia.

Right now, your article has a number of issues that mean it isn't ready for mainspace. The first that it's under-sourced. Every fact in the article needs to be supported by an inline source that can be directly connected with the statement it supports. If one source supports every claim in a paragraph, then it's ok to have just one citation at the end of the paragraph, but if it doesn't, you need to include additional citations. You should also never have any text in a paragraph after the final reference in that paragraph.

The second issue is the quality of the references. While I can't read Chinese and I'm only relying on web translations, these don't appear to be scholarly sources. You need to rely on scholarly sources wherever they're available, and other high-quality sources when they don't. In addition, in the English Wikipedia you should rely primarily on sources in English when possible. If there are no high-quality sources in English, you should feel free to use non-English ones, but priority needs to be given to sources in English. After all, the sources are there so that readers can verify the claims in the article.

Finally, as the AFC reviewer says, Wikipedia already has articles on Internet celebrity and Influencer marketing. If you want to create an article that's specifically about influencer culture, it needs to be distinct from those articles. I think you'd be better off improving those articles though, rather than trying to create a new one that doesn't overlap with either of them. Regardless, you should be relying on scholarly sources - there's plenty of peer-reviewed scholarship on this topic. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:21, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi — just to explain, this article needs significantly more sources and citations; multiple independent, reliable sources are needed just to establish notability, and on a related but separate point, every material statement must be supported by citing one or more of those sources so that the statements can be verified. Currently the article has only two external sources cited, fandom.com (which is not reliable) and kidshealth.org (which is cited only once, and doesn't really support the statement it's cited against). Please note that citing Wikipedia as a source is pointless, and those 'citations' should be converted to internal 'wikilinks' instead. Best, --DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:38, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Noby Big G syndrome requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. EGGIDICAE🥚 17:14, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
