File permission problem with File:Floricienta3.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Floricienta3.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MorganKevinJ(talk) 14:47, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Casi Angeles1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Casi Angeles1.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. [edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Florencia Bertotti Floricienta.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Denniss (talk) 12:58, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Florencia Bertotti Floricienta.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Florencia Bertotti Floricienta.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Non-free use disputed for File:Elyon_brown.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Elyon_brown.png. Unfortunately, I think that you have not provided a proper rationale for using this image under "fair use". Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. Note that the image description page must include the exact name or a link to each article the image is used in and a separate rationale for each one. (If a link is used, automated processes may improperly add the related tag to the image. Please change the fair use template to refer to the exact name, if you see this warning.)

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. My errors

I apologize for disrupting the article whilst claiming to make it more "grammatical"; I'm not all that proficient at typing, especially when on a rush, so I unintentionally made those errors. Hi! Glad to hear from you. Yes, as you see, I have been trying to complete that NGE sandbox. I thought that it.wiki's title has so many material that can be used to enrich the contents of zh.wiki's. Actually, I am not good at translating Italian into Chinese, so the translating progress is slow. It will be a long and lonely journey. BTW, I'd like to be provided some English material or even maybe Japanese material about that 1995's animation. That will be greatful. In my plan, the original title from zh.wiki(Chinese: 新世纪福音战士) will be move to the title correspond with Neon Genesis Evangelion (franchise), and the sandbox will be the title which will devoted to the 1995's animation. --JuneAugust (talk) 01:26, 16 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello, TeenAngels1234. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Asuka Langley Soryu, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alienation (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 12:44, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work

[edit]

Hi there. Just coming to say you did a great work in the Evangelion articles. I guess you must be from the Italian wiki, right? There was also a user who did that in the Russian wiki in both Eva and Fate/stay night articles. Nice work. I hope to see more of this. Cheers :D Tintor2 (talk) 00:56, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I once tried rewriting the in-universe information of Shinji in order to tone it down but my edits got reverted for some reason. I don't know if it helps but the Russian wikipedia got images of the main cast that show multiple of their designs as well as Units in the background.Tintor2 (talk) 17:11, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, I tried rerranging some tidbits from the Naruto Uzumaki article to separate analysis from critical reception. I made that article GA but when a former user known as 1989 tried making it FA, he was asked to find these types of in-depths cholars articles. I'm pretty sure Shinji might have similar stuff. Another GA I worked once was Raiden (Metal Gear) who was given similar articles based on how his creator talked about his thoughts of the character while his changes in design and personality in each of his appearances.Tintor2 (talk) 17:44, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nice. Shinji's article keeps looking better. I changed the image to one of Shinji himself if you are okay with this. From what reviews told me, it is recommended to use images of characters alone rather than two unless it's part of the things discussed. Sometimes, it's better to use promotional images from the official website like Akane Tsunemori or Atsushi Nakajima (Bungo Stray Dogs) but it seems the Gainax site doesn't offer an image of Shinji.Tintor2 (talk) 17:49, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Copying licensed material requires attribution

[edit]

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Shinji Ikari you included material from a webpage that is available under a compatible Creative Commons Licence. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa (talk) 12:41, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Rei-chan is very popular. I think that she's very quiet and doesn't wish to talk very much, and doesn't complain. In Japan, I suppose that girls like that are very much desired. [...] She was created solely for the purpose of being an Eva's pilot and I'm not quite sure if she's happy.

Nice. You actually did it. It is really weird to find an anime episode article except the first episode of Pokemon. Good luck with it. Considering Netflix redubbed the anime, I wonder if there is more exceptional content kinda like the meme of Kaworu about Shinji being worthy of his grace. Good luck with it.Tintor2 (talk) 13:45, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merry Christmas

[edit]

Merry Christmas. You have been doing an amazing work to the Evangelion articles, probably making them one of the best in Wikipedia in general. Keep up the good work and enjoy the Holidays.

Rearrangement

[edit]

After you did those Evangelion articles, I wonder if you think Shirou Emiya should be reorganized. I mean, I tried trimming the reception but he has so many different incarnations popular in Western countries that the reception is still too big. I thought about this after you reviewed Kimihiro Watanuki and tried doing other Clamp articles like Subaru Sumeragi be reorganized in different areas. Anyway, happy new year and happy editing.Tintor2 (talk) 00:56, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Makoto Naegi

[edit]

What's up. I've been expanding Makoto Naegi's article and managed to expand it thanks to certain stuff from the wiki. By any chance do you know where I could link it? By the way, Makoto is voiced by Megumi Ogata like Shinji and in the casting section I managed to add an interview where Ogata remembers her work as Shinji so it might help. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 19:25, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work with Kaworu's article. Even a one episode character has a lot of coverage. I tried dividing Shirou Emiya's real world information in the same pattern you did with the cast of Evangelion to divide the real world info. Feel free to edit it. Also, I think I reached the limit of coverage for Makoto Naegi but I'm not sure if he has enough real world info to create a section about analysis. Couldn't find any book about that in google books.Tintor2 (talk) 17:58, 7 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Real life is more important so don't worry. I'm also planning to nominate Makoto once it's copyedited so we can do another exchange of reviews in the process to make it faster.Tintor2 (talk) 22:22, 7 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

By the way. Forgot to tell you this. When I created the article Akira Fudo (Devilman) I found commentary from Hideaki Anno in regards to how Devilman inspired him to create one of the Evangelions. Check it in case you aim to write an article about the robot.Tintor2 (talk) 13:34, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I tried searching in commons but I can't find a pic of Ogata in the main category.Tintor2 (talk) 16:12, 11 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I saw the image has a problem with required permission for it to be used. Weird how it is used a lot in other Wikipedia article like the Italian wiki's End of Evangelion. I put the request for permission to the uploader though in commons.Tintor2 (talk) 13:00, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yeah Ogata voiced another character from the same series (Nagito Komeda) as a form of fake marketing and also performed some songs from the two animes. Thanks for the help. Keep up the work with the Evangelion articles. The Italian version of End of Eva was incredibly welldetailed when I checked Ogata's pic and links in commons so they might have a lot of sources. About Makoto, I think I covered stuff enough for a GA before copyediting but I sure can't find anything about the design of his adult persona other than Ogata's comment about what was the purpose of it rather than the actual artist. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 23:22, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello:

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

I have flagged one sentence in the Rebuild of Evangelion section At the beginning of the film, the young woman refuses any kind of contact with other people and Shinji, only to feel a strong jealousy towards her and a certain interest in his feelings. Who is her? Or is the young woman Misato? This needs clarification. Best of luck with the GAN.

Evangelion articles

[edit]

Don't worry about Kaworu's article. However, I would suggest when interacting with that other user, try providing a smaller response considering it would be difficult for others to understand. You can also request for a third opinion. Now that I saw that Kaworu article, I'll see if I can trim Subaru Sumeragi's reception since there is a lot of discussion about having a similar relationship.Tintor2 (talk) 23:05, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if this might help but I found this through Google scholar. However, I can't enter into the article. Then again, if it were to contain information about Makoto considering it covers most visual novel-like games, should it be part of the reception section? The only person who does explain some commentary about Makoto's personality are Ogata and the writer at least but I don't know if it helps.Tintor2 (talk) 20:58, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Some additional changes to A Transfer

[edit]

Hi TeenAngels1234, just wanted to drop you a quick note that I've made some additional changes to your recent GA A Transfer – I feel they're all pretty reasonable, but you may still want to review them, since the article was just promoted the other day.

I've been a secret admirer of your Eva-to-GA push for a while now, so I hope you don't mind the stalking. Keep up the good work! AngryHarpytalk 09:45, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, one more small thing – what's with the phrase cured the storyboards? To me, it looks like some form of mistranslation or just general use of the wrong word (perhaps you meant to put curated?), but since the other copy-editor seems to have passed over it and I'm not technically a native speaker myself, I thought I'd ask. To me, a more fitting verb would be composed (which I used in both A Transfer and The Beast), assembled, or, though maybe a bit too much on the colloquial side, put together. AngryHarpytalk 13:21, 17 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Re

[edit]

I hans’t edit yet, because I found the original sentence from “Newtype issue September 1996”:

“様々な理由で描き切れなかったけど、本来のストーリー上の25・26話(最終回)に関しては、25話はプロットまでできてました。26話はプロットの段階で放棄してしまった。”

and I tried to translate it into English:

“Because of various reasons, I was unable to draw it out, but there is something about the original version of story of episode 25 and 26 which is that the plot of (the original story of) episode 25 had already been done then, but (the original story of) episode 26 was abandoned while its plot was developing.”

If my translation is correct, lack of time wasn’t the reason.(at least Anno hasn’t said that.)

Below are another sentence in the same reference, which mentions the timeline of production:

“ そのとき、まだ最終話の脚本が上がっていない。全部できたのは翌週ですよ。実質3日の作画作業です。本当は、表現としては絵に描いたものすら必要ないんじゃないかと思う。実際は、僕が出てしゃべってもよかったんです。それでもいけるはずだったけど、さすがに拒否された。セル画でない部分、絵コンテの絵をそのまま使ったのは、ワザとです。間に合わなかったとか、そういう問題じゃない。

I note the point of these sentence and translat it: “Things like to finish it on time are not problem.” Although it doesn’t directly relate to the information I talk first, it shows that Anno possibly didn’t worry about time.

If my understanding is wrong, please tell me, or you can ask other editor, too.

p.s. Thank you for congratulation. My answer is yes, but not sure it can pass successfully like Ayanami Rei.

p.p.s I have question for you, too.Would you finish all articles of NGE episodes? The first three articles is really good. If all of them are completed,it will be amazing.

p.p.p.s Writing and typing these words really took me a lot of time… but it’s worth. My English writing isn’t good, I am sorry for that.--EzrealChen (talk) 16:21, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Useful source?

[edit]

While searching for a bit more of Makoto Naegi's voice actress commentary (I'm pretty sure she did say something about her character in the End of Hope's Peak anime but I can't find such content), I instead found this interview where Ogata expressed her commentary in regards to how Shiji Ikari is treated in the 3.0 film. The top of the this interview comments on the original source so I think you might be able to use it. Good work with the Evangelion articles.Tintor2 (talk) 02:23, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

About phamplets though, do you know well how to use them in the form of citations? I mean, I had found one of Psycho-Pass: The Movie here and seems quite useful for the lead Shinya Kogami since the two writers there explain the psychology of the character but I don't know how to properly use it as a source.Tintor2 (talk) 21:40, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I mean the formatting. What template should it have? Like "Cite book". Never used one pamphlet in Wikipedia.Tintor2 (talk) 23:11, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I see. That's nice. Thanks for the help. I'll give it a shot. For some reason Production I.G wrote the series' title and movies in English primarily.Tintor2 (talk) 23:27, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I'm not sure if it can go GA isn't I couldn't find stuff about her Japanese actress in contrast to Ogata's long commentary about Makoto while her own novels, Danganronpa Kirigiri appear to haven't been fully translated. Yeah, she appeared in the first game just like Makoto but I'm not sure where to divide sections due to her role in novel not being explained yet in the article. There was another user who attempted to write the novels but he turned out to be a sockpuppet.Tintor2 (talk) 18:08, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Gyaru Kirigiri

[edit]

I think I expanded the article of Kyoko Kirigiri enough but there is something that the Wiki knows that I have no idea how to source. According to the wiki, the character was originally named "Gyaru Kirigiri" in the demo Distrust until it was completely remade for Danganronpa. I can't recognize Japanese through images since I tend to use google translate for some parts but by any chance does this article show the fact that Kyoko was previously named Gyaru? Other than that, I think I'm not lacking more material other than some strange voice actress talk the cast had but in a Japanese radio programm which is impossible to source. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 22:21, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Forgot to ask you. Do you also plan to make Sadamoto's manga GA? I mean I remember that you particularly did not care about the Rebuilds so Sadamoto's take is also quite different from Anno's original idea. Advice about Allen Walker

[edit]

There is this FA I somehow made four years ago, Allen Walker. After expanding the creation section thanks to artbook's notes a friend sent me, I was able to find a lot of commentary about how his artist, Hoshino sees him and I wonder if a characterization and themes should be explored. Basically, Allen is initially portrayed as a gentleman who only cares about giving salvation to demons, making various writers to call him some sort of messiah. The big change about his personality in the series probably is when they expand on his the cast wonder how he becomes more informal when interacting with his friends or his mentor stating that he has an actual personality disorder as he acts like his adoptive father rather than his original persona who was far more rude and cocky. Even Hoshino talks about this, calling him "dark Allen" comically. Do you think the creation section should be split for such way to say it. Even the reviewers mention that while originally Allen was some sort of messiah, his characterization became miserable when he starts being possessed by an antagonist to the point the actual voice actor, Ayumu Murase, asked the author if she disliked him in an interview. Anyway, keep up the nice work.Tintor2 (talk) 17:06, 2 May 2021 (UTC) @TenTonParasol: Pinging Parasol since the user has knowledge about the series and books too.Tintor2 (talk) 18:13, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

During the review of Hajime I wondered about the sources I added to To Your Eternity#Reception. I mean, most make similar comments like emotional value of the series, Fushi developing human emotions or artwork's analysis. You think it should be cut like Hajime or are some comments worth saving? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 12:33, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. By the way, the smile image of Rei. Isn't it quite notable for the character article too since Anno commented a lot about how important is that scene for Rei's character arc?Tintor2 (talk) 15:23, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
About to Your Eternity's anime, the opening theme is sang by none other than Hikaru Utada who also made the Rebuild the Evangelion themes. Apparently, the full version of To Your Eternity's opening ("PINK BLOOD") might be released alongside One Last Kiss but I don't get it well due to the page being in Japanese. By any chance do you understand this?Tintor2 (talk) 00:53, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just curious. Do you plan to work in more episodes or focus on other characters like Misato or Gendo? From what I heard that new character from Rebuild might have material for an article. There is also the fact that the End of Evangelion article is quite developed in the Italian Wikipedia. By the way, I remember watching an anime titled Hi Score Girl set in the 90s and while it primarily focused on fighting games, there was one episode where a random side character says "Yeah, that Asuka girl was amazing!". Meanwhile, Judgment became GA while I might nominate the second Danganronpa game as well as To your Eternity manga after they are copyedited. Long time no see

[edit]

It took a while but Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair became GA. Megumi Ogata voices two really similar characters in such game but it was "a pure coincidence" as the writer created the character Nagito Komaeda just to make gamers think he is Makoto Naegi due to their similarities but kinda insane differences as it appears that Nagito is mentally unstable but in the form of black comedy. I might nominate To Your Eternity rather than Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony as the former has been edited more two other copyeditors. I noticed in the guild none of those Rei articles haven't been copyedited either but it seems it's close. I've also been considering Akudama Drive (which has the same writer as the Danganronpa games and the other anime End of Hope's Peak Academy) but I kinda wonder if its episode list should be moved or it should stay since I never touch such a small series. You planning to keep creating more episodes of Evangelion? Anyway, hope you keep having fun editing. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 21:00, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for bothering but there is something but after creating an article for Courier (Akudama Drive) I noticed there wasn't too much creation in contrast to Swindler (Akudama Drive). I kept asking in reddit for possible influences (kinda like the character's actions being based on Jean Reno in Leon: The Professional) and a fellow user told me to find for one of the Akudama Drive booklets. I ended in this site but I have no idea where could I find such stuff. In regards to Courier, apparently it is the first booklet that has information about his creation but I'm completely lost if that site actually has it. Darker than Black interview

[edit]

Congrats with the other Rei article. It is looking really well. I have been expanding the article Darker than Black and while I found a lot of interviews about the first season, there is very little. I happened to find this transcripted interview which links its original source but I don't understand a thing. Judging by a google translate, the director is explaining the ambiguous ending of the series' second season and why he also made four OVAs but I fail to understand well (it's kinda hard to understand especially since the main character is codenamed Hei which is Black in Japanese apparently). Anyway, happy editing. You planning to nominate Human Work right?Tintor2 (talk) 21:31, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Puedo ayudar :D But still, I actually never edited in the Spanish Wikipedia. I actually started in the English one cos a series I followed given more coverage in this Wikipedia. Still, I wonder if I can use that blog as a reference. I heard of that translating programme but I just happened to be visiting tvtropes and according to the site, the interview actually explains even the ambiguous ending of the series.Tintor2 (talk) 21:50, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Been reading the Spanish Shinji. It has some commentaries about his personality from different creators and something that surprised is that they provided a section dedicated to his relationship with Kaworu. Are there any parts you want me to add to the article? I remember Anime News Network listed Shinji's role in the second Rebuild film when saving Rei as one of the best anime scenes from the year.Tintor2 (talk) 22:37, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Seems like some parts are well written considering I saw similarities with the English Shinji so tell me what parts of the article do you want to expand in Spanish.Tintor2 (talk) 22:49, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think I managed to properly expand the Darker than Black article. Still, while found enough information about the main character in regards to creation and reception, I couldn't find enough information about themes in contrast to Allen Walker or the Evangelion character. The series is from 2007 but google books doesn't show too much. By any chance does another Wikipedia has coverage on the character? It's a recently new article. Anyway, happy editing.Tintor2 (talk) 22:29, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I managed to find some themes stuff for Hei (only three sources though) and make Courier (Akudama Drive) GA recently. How are you doing? I'm editing random stuff rather than keeping up with a single series for some reason.Tintor2 (talk) 14:10, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Rei II

[edit]

On 8 August 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Rei II, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the fictional battle Operation Yashima, displayed in the Neon Genesis Evangelion episode "Rei II", inspired a real unofficial campaign in Japan to conserve electricity after the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Rei II. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Rei II), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. What is this?

[edit]

Sorry for bothering again. How are you doing? When I created the article Darker than Black: Gaiden, I found that the series' official blog contained commentary from the OVAs' developers. However, I still failed to find stuff about the second season. However, there is a link known as 最近のトラックバック that takes me to another site that appears to analyze and promote the series. By any chance, do you know if it was written by an important staff member or just a random fan. I don't understand it well regardless of machine to translate. If this is useful, Xerxess and me might create the article for a second season. Anyway, good luck with the Evangelion articles.Tintor2 (talk) 00:54, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi there. What's up? After expanding Hei (Darker than Black), I ended using this promotional image for the infobox. However, I couldn't find a way to properly remove the black background without affecting the character's black clothing and silhoutte. Any idea with how to fix that? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 21:42, 3 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I thought people preferred full shots like this but I don't know if it shows focus in the face. I also haven't edited photoshop either. The one you sent in me in black and white is from the original designer. About the pierrot mask, I can't find a reason to add it since I haven't heard of a single commentary about why give him that look. The Wiki has a gallery here but I don't know which one fits it. By the way, you sure have been preparing a big overhaul in regards to a the Eva films?Tintor2 (talk) 18:29, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - I honestly don't have a preference for the title, as I know nothing about this song... my worry is that at least three different titles are used throughout the article , and one of them should be settled on, for consistency. Merry Christmas

It sure has been a neat year for Megumi Ogata's works. You made Shinji GA, then you reviewed Makoto Naegi who also shares the same voice with Nagito Komaeda and lately I created one article a new Ogata character, Yuta Okkotsu. Ogata also commented a lot about her work in Gekijō-ban Jujutsu Kaisen 0 but I barely found interviews with the director and writer. The Evangelion article sure improved a lot. Japanese review

[edit]

I've been expanding more the character of Yuta Okkotsu (乙骨 憂太) and found this Japanese source, RealSound, commented on the manga here. Still, even through google translate I can't understand what is the point the writer is giving? Could you give it a look? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 02:31, 8 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Without spoiling anything, when Yuta appears in the main series for the first time his characterization was changed from the original manga and movie 0 prequel as he is now older so don't check Yuta's article. Since I started with 0's manga which was adapted into the recent movie, there is a lot of commentary about Megumi Ogata, the director, etc. all a lot Yuta which might be the reason why Yuta has the biggest article in the franchise. I plan to nominate his prequel manga Jujutsu Kaisen 0 too once it's copyedited in case you are interested. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 23:55, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

About the quote

[edit]

There is a quote in The Beast (Neon Genesis Evangelion)[3]:

「たとえば、20歳を過ぎてロボットアニメが好きな人間って、本当に幸福なんでしょうか。もっと大きな幸せかもしれない。だけど、僕はそんな幸福に疑問を持ってしまったんです。この作品をつくりながら、そんな人間にとっての幸福ってなんなんだろうって考えてみたいんです」(I wonder if a person over the age of twenty who likes robot anime is really happy. He could find greater happiness elsewhere. Regrettably, I have my doubts about his happiness. As I was making this work I wanted to try to consider what in the world could the 'happiness' of such a person be?)

But I've found another source[4], the words in that was different. I tried to translate it:

「たとえば、20歳を過ぎてロボットアニメや美少女アニメが好きな人間って、本当に幸福なんでしょうか。もっと大きな幸福があることを一生知らないですめば幸せかもしれない。だけど、僕はそんな幸福に疑問を持ってしまったんです。この作品をつくりながら、そんな人間にとっての幸福ってなんなんだろうって考えてみたいんですよ。」(I wonder if a person over the age of twenty who likes robot anime and Bishōjo anime is really happy. If this guy don't know that a greater happiness is exist even until he died, he is probly happy. Regrettably, I have my doubts about that kind of happiness. As I was making this work I wanted to try to consider what in the world could the 'happiness' of such a person be?)

On 10 April 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article A Cruel Angel's Thesis, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that lyricist Neko Oikawa wrote Neon Genesis Evangelion opening theme "A Cruel Angel's Thesis" in two hours? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/A Cruel Angel's Thesis. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, A Cruel Angel's Thesis), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Yuta Okkotsu

[edit]

Sorry for the delay with the Yuta Okkotsu GA review. I had no idea you placed the comments.Tintor2 (talk) 15:48, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, you've been kinda absent. Was it due to college? Hope you relax more. I've been kinda a blank after the Yuta Okkotsu review so I also haven't made too much except for creating another Darker than Black spinoff article, Darker than Black: Shikkoku no Hana. Sad thing is that this series made it to few countries outside Japan so there are little to no reviews from European articles. Are you planning make another Evangelion character GA? I remember you told you didn't like Rebuild of Evangelion but somebody made an article for Mari Illustrious Makinami which could be easy GA after some clean up since she doesn't have too many appearances (kinda like why I decided to nominate Yuta's article last month). Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 21:41, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

List of Neon Genesis Evangelion characters

[edit]

No problem. Good luck with the article. I've only been expanding Resident Evil: Damnation these past weeks but I still have no plans for a nomination or request since I have no idea if some parts should be expanded or where to find more commentary from the actor or Japanese ones.Tintor2 (talk) 22:15, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I managed to expand Damnation enough to prepare for a copyedit but I have no sources about the Japanese actors from the lead even though he is quite famous: Toshiyuki Morikawa. Then again, I'm not sure if the Japanese cast are that prominent since that game franchise always primarily relied on an English cast without proper handling resulting in in that weird comments like "Jill Sandwich" If possible could you help with finding one article about the actors in Japanese? The movie is from 2012 so I think it might easier to find.Tintor2 (talk) 21:40, 16 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
In case you are interested I nominated Vanitas (The Case Study of Vanitas). We could exchange reviews again if you want.Tintor2 (talk) 17:07, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, there. Dayumn. You sure nominated several articles. Not sure what to do. I mean I've been writing most Vinland Saga (manga) articles lately but they still need to be copyedited (I also might nominate the Vanitas manga article too). For now, the biggest article I made is Thorfinn (Vinland Saga) which I wanted you to give a look about what parts are better suited for characterization and themes. I mean, the author talks a lot about him. Is there an article nominated that you wanna have reviewed too first? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 18:54, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, first for the review with the Tekken anime. Remember that time you reviewed Jujutsu Kaisen 0's Yuta Okkotsu who happened to be voiced by Megumu Ogata? I got access to a fanbook of the manga where the author mentions being a fan of Hideaki Anno with the first scene of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 being a reference to Evangelion when SEELE appears. The early look of Yuta sure looks a lot like Shinji but the author never addresses Shinji being an influence in the book. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 20:23, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Christmas party?

It's Christmas season and what better way to celebrate by reviewing articles. I nominated [[Ichizu/Sakayume]] which is probably is my first music related nomination. Wanna review it and I review Misato Katsuragi? I was gonna ask Morgan695 to avoid bothering you but he is also busy with a review now. By the way, the main series of the music article added another Evangelion reference too when Okkotsu is talking to his superiors but similar to SEELE but with curtains in the dark. Congrats with Evangelion article. Only one more you are kinda done with it? By the way, when looking for old articles to make I found that the only YuYu Hakusho with proper GNG material was Kurama (YuYu Hakusho), Ogata's first work. With Kurama we now have nearly most of Ogata's major works: Kurama, Shinji Ikari, Sailor Uranus, Makoto Naegi, Nagito Komaeda, Yugi Muto (only in Toei's adaptation though) and Yuta Okkotsu. There is also a famous Clamp character with the same voice but apparently it's that notable. Anyways, see ya.Tintor2 (talk) 00:20, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats with completing the Evangelion articles. I don't have any goal right now but after reading a Gundam novel today I decided to expand Amuro Ray. Interestingly, Hideaki Anno was involved in several interviews with Yoshiyuki Tomino when describing the characters as he even worked in a movie. Utena and Evangelion

[edit]

Thanks for taking up the GAR for Revolutionary Girl Utena. Before you even took up the GA, I was actually going to make a point of reaching out in light of the many Evangelion articles you've written to ask if you've encountered any reliable sources that have discussed the influence of Utena on the Rebuild films, particularly 2.0. There are fairly unambiguous parallels that are regularly remarked upon in the fan community, but I can't really find anything discussing it that's reliably sourced. I don't think it would merit anything greater than a sentence under "Reception and influence", but if the sources do exist, I think I'd be interesting to note. Thanks! Evangelion and episode viewership ratings

[edit]

This might be a tall order, but I was wondering. In the various Evangelion episodes, you bring up how each episode got a score of XX% on television, citing a website, as well as various articles from anime magazines. What I wanted to ask, since some of the dates / weeks align, do any of these magazines bring up the audience share of Sailor Moon SuperS' episodes? Morikubo and Sakurai

[edit]

I was editing X (Mega Man) who happens to have several voice actors, including none other than madame... Megumi Ogata! Still, while I managed to find info about Ogata since she only made one line, I'm kinda stucked with the other ones. I kept searching through fansites but the original credits lead to a site that only uses Flash which made it useless. In the end, I found a Dengeki interview featuring two of his voices: Morikubo and Sakurai as they play the old games. They reveal several comments about their work such as Morikubo having troubles due to being apparently busy as a singer and Sakurai trying to imitate Kentaro Ito but the the closed captions are kinda unreliable as it leads to confusing comments. If possible, could you give it a look and make two or three notes? It might help a lot with X's article. Anyways, happy editing.Tintor2 (talk) 02:58, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Long time no see. In case you don't know there is a big FA nominee Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Revolutionary Girl Utena/archive1 and it might need more comments before passing it. I already gave some of mine and supported. Meanwhile, I made Thorfinn (Vinland Saga) GA and nominated Vinland Saga (manga) after splitting the tv series and having it copyedited. Is there any exchange of nomination you are interested in doing? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 21:58, 13 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @Tintor2:. Sorry for the delay. I'm too busy in real life and I almost have edited nothing in these months, so I have not nominated any article since the last time and I doubt I have the time for a review in the immediate future. For Utena: I don't feel competent enough to vote for a FAN, since I'm not a native speaker; while for GAN I feel confident enough with English grammar - I'm the one who reviewed Utena for a GAN in the first place -, FA are on another level. What happened?

[edit]

Noticed you deleted your userpage. Did something happen? I hope things are good. It's a shame considering your edits to Wikipedia are amazing. Still, a user seemed to randomly create an article for Evangelion's final episode without almost no content. I noticed several unsourced sentences being too informal so I find it a bit rushed when compared to your other works. Do you suggest merging the article? Still, I'm kinda curious if you might create one article for that episode where Asuka suffers a mental attack from an Angel or Kaworu's single episode due to interesting pieces of music they chose used for the fighting scenes. Anyway, have fun.Tintor2 (talk) 15:07, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Those women longed for the touch of others' lips, and thus invited their kisses

[edit]

Hello, I have decided to perform a copyedit of this article and will post any questions I have here.

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I'm finished with the copyedit. I don't understand why the bot hasn't archived it yet. --PanagiotisZois (talk) 18:46, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

My bad, the bot has archived it. All good. On another note, one thing that I would improve with the article is the citations; primarily, add all / most of the literary sources in the "Bibliography" section. It may not be a big issue for a GAN, but it will be a problem for a potential FAC; something which I'd very much like to see this article reach. --PanagiotisZois (talk) 18:51, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm glad I could help; :). If you do decide to take any Evangelion-related pages to FA or FL status, I could help in the language and grammar department. Can't make any promines, depending on my schedule, but it could be fun. --PanagiotisZois (talk) 22:09, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Soma Cruz GAN

[edit]

Long time no see. I've been asking other users to review other articles I nominated, and wanted to know if you could review the latest thing I nominated: Soma Cruz. Cheers. If you are busy, I understand. It's a busy month. Tintor2 (talk) 23:11, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I can do it, yup! TeenAngels1234 (talk) 00:00, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. For a second I removed the nomination since I was busy especially with creating the Frieren article but now I brought it back. Tintor2 (talk) 00:04, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Things kinda escalated with Soma so I instead ended up nominating Canute (Vinland Saga) if you are interested. Tintor2 (talk) 03:55, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Anything missing? I tried rewording every issue you mentioned.Tintor2 (talk) 23:00, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A question about Angel Attack

[edit]

Hi, TeenAngels1234! I'm a Chinese Wikipedia editor and am currently updating the Chinese translation of Angel Attack. I'm a little confused by the following description: "Anno and Masayuki, who drew storyboards for the episode,[9] assisted him,[10][11]". May I ask if the last two sources are about how Anno and Masayuki assisted him? If it is, could you please provide detail about these? I think it is an interesting point and may benefit the reader, thank a lot!
Sorry for my broken English as I'm not a native speaker. BlackShadowG (talk) 13:25, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the help! Looks like my understanding of the English language leaves a lot to be desired. Is ref #9 also just list these two staffs? I've put these three sources together in my translation, and I don't know whether it's a right decision. BlackShadowG (talk) 07:49, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: 200kb sounds insane for an article. How about splitting the Evangelion soundtrack article by tv series, and Rebuild movies?Tintor2 (talk) 19:43, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Splitting of the Breast

[edit]
Hi TeenAngels1234, I've added a [further explanation needed] tag in the second paragraph of "Cultural references and themes". In the sentence fragment "The expression within the episode takes on a different nuance..."; different needs qualifying because no other nuance is mentioned so there's nothing with which to compare this nuance. Other than that, I think the article is fine and should pass GAN. Cheers, Baffle☿gab 04:22, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Vinland, Gundam and Code Geass

[edit]

Hi there. Long time no see. I've been working on some articles and nominated Thorkell (Vinland Saga) which is quite small when compared with Thorfinn or the others. If you want we could exchange reviews. Also, like you edited Evangelion characters, I tried expanding Gundam characters like Amuro Ray and Kira Yamato but I don't plan to nominate either for now. Instead, the one I've found discussed the most is the Code Geass protagonist Lelouch Lamperouge by several books and scholars. While Code Geass has several ideologies themes, I don't think I managed to expand on those psychological themes you often write about in the Evangelion series. I mean the idea that Lelouch was created to be a villain to become a tyrant to programm his own death seems to be exploitable so I wonder if other wikis from the language you edit also have such themes. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 22:38, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Precious anniversary

Hi there

[edit]

Thanks for the kind words and review. I've been editing the Vinland Saga in general especially since the author keeps saying he is about to end. The problem for everybody is that since the final arc is based on historical events in contrast to the previous ones which are based never explored moments in history like Canute's rise to the crown or what kind of person was Thorfinn in his youth. Since what happens to Thorfinn in the final arc is known, the author pretty much told an interviewer not to read history or it might count as spoiler. It is still based on Leif Erikson's journey to Vinland. The first arc of the manga was so action heavy due to a recommendation from the publisher that the editor thought the manga author was writing his own take on Fist of the North Star. What follows there in the slavery is the actual beginning the author wanted to write about as he said he didn't want to explore violence but instead how to cure it with the transformation Thorfinn undergoes once he becomes a slave. I'll see if I can review the Evangelion article. Tintor2 (talk) 21:54, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

3.0+1.0 scene

[edit]

Hi there. Question. In the final Evangelion movie, there was this small scene of of an adult Rei dating an adult Kaworu. Is this elaborated by the staff members? Might be worth mentioning in the character articles if there is commentary. Kinda reminded me of how Sadamoto gave two special scenes two Kaworu and Rei (though I don't remember if it was another Rei clone) and End of Evangelion treating the two as some sort of judges to mankind. There was also an hallucination (not sure if real or not after reading Vinland and Vagabond where they play a lot with hallucinations) of Kaworu around the half of 3.0+1.0. Anyway, you got any future plans for more nominations? I'm running out of Vinland articles as I can't find content for Hild or Gudrid since the anime adaptation hasn't touched them yet and I had to wait a lot for the second season since it made the series more mainstream leading to more articles discussing the characters or interviews with the author. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 22:44, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Still no response from the nominator in the Angel article. Should we ask for a third opinion? A user did that sadly to me when Vinland Saga (TV series) had its GA status downright removed last week. BTW, I kinda moved to expanding the Heavenly Delusion articles this weekend and created an article for the protagonist Kiruko. It was kinda easy to make since reviewers really attracted by the portrayal of her/his gender in the series. I might make an article for Maru from the same series next week if he also has notable feedback.Tintor2 (talk) 20:52, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If possible, could you comment on Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/Bocchi the Rock! discography/archive1? I'm not that experienced with FAs but I know it's important for nominations to get a lot of feedback in order to stop them from being rejected due to inactivity. The only FAs I ever got are Allen Walker and Tidus because of help from several users from their project. Also, the Angels article was saved thankfully. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 22:51, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Bocchi no Rock article went FL. I haven't done too much these past weeks besides creating Kiruko and Maru due to hardware issues. I did nominate Lelouch Lamperouge after its copyedit. If you want we could exchange another review. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 17:46, 7 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have been working in a lesser known Code Geass character in the past weeks, Akito Hyuga, as he belongs to a miniseries by the Escaflowne creator and was easier to writer. Still not convinced though about its prose. The only article I recently nominated is an old game I actually touched in 2018 The King of Fighters '99 when I was not sure if it had notable production but after finding archives of a magazine I nominated it. If you want an exchange with the other Evangelion article you made, we could exchange as usual.Tintor2 (talk) 00:48, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Redirecting rather than PRODing

[edit]

I came across your PROD tag on Ritsuko Akagi. I agree that an article is unnecessary when a list entry adequately covers the topic, but redirecting is better than deletion if the title would make a plausible redirect. Therefore, I've redirected it to List of Neon Genesis Evangelion characters § Ritsuko Akagi instead. jlwoodwa (talk) 16:08, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello from Russian Wiki

[edit]

Hello! I'm from Russian Wiki and I write articles about EoE as well. I often consult to your articles, but I've encountered a problem with inaccessibility of some of the sources you've used. Specifically, it's: Evangelion Chronicle, "Porori, Syunsou (2009). The Essential Evangelion Chronicle: Side A (and B)", "Poggio, Alessandra (2008). Neon Genesis Evangelion Encyclopedia" and "Gualtiero Cannarsi. Evangelion Encyclopedia". Do you have access to them? This sources would help in improving the quality of my articles Двадцать четыре (talk) 18:15, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, man. Nice work with the Russian wiki. My compliments. Yeah, I have all of them. The Poggio and Cannarsi Encyclopediae, IIRC, are currently on the Web Archive, but it is unfortunately down for the moment. I have the French edition of the two Essential volumes; some time ago I think I saw the original Japanese, and the French edition has a faithful translation, but anyway I have to scan them to send you. Just wait a little and I can give you all of them. If you have other requents just let me know. TeenAngels1234 (talk) 18:40, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fourth Child copyedit

I remember well this episode. It even inspired one of the games you reviewed Iori Yagami also acts like Shinji's unit when becoming cursed. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TZgGIzqdoN8&pp=ygUaSW9yaSB5YWdhbWkgeWFvdG9tZSBvcm9jaGk%3D
