Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. @Gryllida: Welcome? I've been on Wikipedia for over two years. The Optimistic One (talk) 05:47, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
You are right, I missed this. Sorry for disturbing you! I'm implementing a chance in my work so that I only leave such a message to people who seem new.
Though thanks for writing the drafts. They seem empty now, but I guess you have a plan for growing them. Gryllida (talk) 08:00, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
@Gryllida: I understand. Would you like to help me out with finishing them? The Optimistic One (talk) 08:19, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
Added reference to the first one, Draft:Emmit Stussy. Added it to TV wikiproject. I don't think I can immediately do anything, but perhaps a bit later when I have explored the topic on the Internet a bit more.
Biographies are not my strong topic area, I participate in articles on the topic of Australia currently. I mark pages with WikiProject tags, hoping it brings people together to collaborate, but I am not that experienced with writing them yet. Gryllida (talk) 08:34, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
@Gryllida: I don't think we can use FANDOM as a source.
Thanks for the help anyways. The Optimistic One (talk) 08:40, 6 December 2018 (UTC)

Don't waste time

Please don't waste time converting infobox character to infobox video game character on articles that have used it for YEARS without issue. First, it causes maintenance categories to be populated, because Infobox video game character does not support all the fields that Infobox character does. Second, with the merger discussion already closed as MERGE, there's no point as you're just making more work for someone else when they start the merge work. You are actively hindering the merger effort by making new articles that need redone. -- ferret (talk) 03:19, 27 December 2018 (UTC)

@Ferret: Okay I get that the infobox for video game characters will be merged soon, but in the meantime it supports motion capture artists, the other infobox doesn't. Captain Price's current infobox also has issues such as first and last appearances not being listed and needless info such as gender: male and nationality: English, (in brackets) being listed. MacTavish's also has similar problems. If you're going to leave them there at least make some improvements. The Optimistic One (talk) 04:39, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
{{Infobox character}} has motion_actor? Every field of {{Infobox video game character}} is supported except for the inuniverse sub-templates which are still being reviewed/discussed. They were added following the merger discussion. The inuniverse (if needed) could be managed in a pinch with the extra label fields though. -- ferret (talk) 17:43, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
Okay, well I'm pretty content with leaving the other infobox now that motion_actor has been added. I also improved it and sorted out pre-existing issues. The Optimistic One (talk) 17:49, 27 December 2018 (UTC)

Marvel Netflix series

Thank you for your additions to the Marvel Netflix series. However, stating what series was released after a particular season is trivial, and such content is not related to that particular season or series. If you feel that a chronological release schedule is necessary, then I recommend posting at Talk:List of Marvel Cinematic Universe television series for the opinions of other editors; until then, a full list of release dates is available at List of Marvel Cinematic Universe television series § Netflix series. Thank you, and happy editing. -- /Alex/21 07:07, 27 January 2019 (UTC)

Character boxes

Before you go adding new params wholesale to the Tolkien character boxes, you should get consensus on the project page about which ones are appropriate. E.g., the whole "first appearance" routine seems rather overkill, given the "Books" listing. (And what, after all, is the "first" appearance? A similar problem with the Narnia books.) -- Elphion (talk) 13:11, 7 February 2019 (UTC)

@Elphion: Why? The novels are totally different to the movies. What about characters like Tyrion Lannister, his first appearance is listed for both the ASOIAF novels and TV show. The Optimistic One (talk) 18:07, 7 February 2019 (UTC)
