The problems with Iran is not the problem

Hello. I am enormously appreciative for all the vital work that administrators do here. However, the article remains orphaned and I've tagged it as such. The film covers a controversial subject area: yet from what I can see, there is only the Maan reference which could be considered an independent reliable source -- so I've added a refimprove tag. IMDb may not be used as a reliable source, per WP:RS/IMDB. I have tried to address WP:N and copyediting concerns. I'm trying to help this article, not pick a quarrel with an admin, believe me.     (typing using my tablet, so please ignore typos etc. (if any)). Replies:
  1. "administrative works" -- not really. Busy schedules in RL (real life).
  2. "IMDb": I know about it and don't use IMDb ref. Please check article history and edits once again.
  3. "Orphan tag" -- that is not simple area, I feel. Let me explain-- if you do patrol or use AWB (WP:AWB), most probably you know about "auto-tag" option that adds orphan and other tags automatically. Power users like User:Bgwhite have this "auto tag" option turned off. I have similar settings as well.
    when you find an orphan article, it may be off two types-- a) where you can add links to other articles (tool like this helps), b) where you just don't have any option to add any link anywhere. Shouting on a problem is fine, only if it has a solution. I don't know what to do if there is no solution (FindLink shows zero available link). I have seen attempts where users add their articles' links to "See also" section of other articles (unnecessarily) just to remove "orphan" tag. I don't know whether it solves the problem, but I don't do so.
  4. "Notability": it is a documentary, not a feature film. Documentaries don't get much media attention like full-length films. Anyway there are a couple of news reviews. There should be some NONENG articles too. I'll check.
  5. "Refimprove": I can't understand it. There is only one unsourced paragraph, that too became unsourced after you removed a ref. Everything else is sourced. Plot does not need source, I think. anyway I'll try to search some non-English sources. --Tito Dutta (talk) 15:20, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
    • I work a great deal in the doc film area and we can't use the genre as an excuse to circumvent WP:NFILM. It either meets NFILM or it doesn't, and notable doc films do. I'd added refimprove as a hopefully less controversial way of calling attention to what I'd first raised with the notability tag: my concern isn't unsourced statements, but rather that absence of multiple independent reliable sources proving that this article does indeed meet WP:NFILM. However, there may indeed be non-English refs, I agree. Farsi, no doubt. How "independent" an Iranian outlet would be is debatable, but then of course Prof. Chomsky and this film raise that very accusation about western news sources, so that's a wash. As for the orphan tag point, I'm positive there's a film list or two to which this article could be added. best, Shawn in Montreal (talk) 15:54, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) Google is not always effective in searching English newspapers leave alone non–English ones. I am pretty sure you'll find entries such as this in culture and neighbourhood sections of many popular English dailies, particularly those in Bangalore because the movie featured there in a theatre fest which tried to showcase politically provocative content. Doesn't India talk about cultural and civilizational links with Iran? Wasn't Iran the country that killed the OIC resolution on Kashmir in 1994 when Indian was in a tough spot?[1] Isn't Iran India's link to Central Asia and isn't India building a port in Iran? Oh, I should also point out that this Findlink search tool appears to be rather useless, as the very first name in the cast list is Antonia Juhasz, for whom there is an article. Removing collage completely in this page and adding in Bangladeshis and Bengali Hindus the only Solution

Bangladeshis might feel that they are larger in population but lower in pictures , and they will try to remove lots on great people Chaitanya mahaprabhu, Ramakrishna , Swami Vivekananda , Subhash Bose , Aurobindo Ghosh , Sharat Chandra Chatterjee , Pranab Mukherjee , Michael Madhushudhan , Khudiram , Sharadindu , Sukumar Roy. And they are trying to fill with Shefali Chaundhury . As if there must be some balancing act . Where both will get equal share of the property(collage ). Already we have two pages Bangladeshis and Bengali Hindus . Best solution would be to remove the picture collage here in this article and add in those pages according to Bangladeshi and Indian point of view. Problem solved.

In that case as i stated above , Bifurcation won't be necessary . Then Subhash Chandra Bose Vs Shefali Chaudhuri , Bipasha Vs Ramakrishna , Shakib Vs Swami Vivekananda , Pranab Mukherjee Vs Zia ul Haq debate will be over.So , lets call for peace. This page Bengali people don't require picture collage as the discussion will go nowhere . We must add our preference in Bangladeshis and Bengali Hindus page. Sorry guys , all of you will have to sacrifice your hard labour ,especially those involved in this edit war from the past few months . Lots of pages get deleted . This is nothing. Thanks very much for such a swift response, and for taking the time to have a look. I've been reviewing his edits myself to see what happened. It is typical of the subject of a BLP just not knowing how wikipedia works. I agree wholeheartedly with your points above, and his position is very entrenched. To others who don't know Bengali: Yes, I confirm that the comment placed by that newuser, who appears to be a sock, in this page is a sheer personal attack and the user is eligible to get a block without any further warnings. Hello Sir. It seems I became alone on this issue and no Indian editor is coming forward to speak the truth. Commons admins simply washed the hands by saying that "Yes it is probably illegal in India but that is the uploaders responsibility". Before that someone else has already said, "pack and go home". I am surprised on the silence of Indian Admins and Editors on this issue!! Did I do any mistake by raising this issue by the way?? Hello Tito Sir !

Last I have edited a book article named Che in Paona Bzaar, that was my 2nd article after joining this Wikipedia , naturally I did some mistakes like I added 'flipkart' link URL to the readers to get the copy easily as I bought the copy from flipcart only. Members of this space did not like that . They blamed me directly that I wrote theythe article from the cover of the book and top of that they asked me that am I the publisher in disguise !! I felt humiliated and expressed this in here, then and then they deleted their sayings from their talk page. One lady named Diana from that group edited the article by her own without reading the book. Recently I have gathered many reviews on that particular book which say not that much of sarcastic way of reviewing rather they also praise and wrote about the uniqueness about it like i was written in 1st. My request is can i edit the book again with other references also ? And Yes, I will not mention about where to get the book for sure !
